This was an awesome tour! You get to experience the volcano at three different altitudes, ending at almost 2000 meters, which is more than halfway up. Being able to hike around on the craters is exhilarating and interesting! Our guide was very engaging and clearly knew his science. My nephew and I had a great time being in the outdoors and would definitely recommend!

Our guide Giorgio was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of useful information along the way. He was also a careful and considerate driver and host. We felt very safe at all times (unlike on some other tours with different companies). The tour was the right length allowing us to fit in lots of sightseeing while still being back in town for the afternoon.

Had a great time with Giorgio, who shared his local knowledge and made sure all members of the trip were comfortable and enjoyed the ride and the walks.
The meeting spot was easy to find, and all tour-guides were wearing Etna&Sea hoodies/t-shirts. We left and came back on time.

This was a fabulous way to spend our morning. There was just a few of us on the tour so it felt very private. And for the first part, we felt like we were the only ones on the mountain. Bluebird day, great views, and the guide was fabulous.

We called you before the excursion started, the phone rang but there was no answer. After 2 hours of the excursion starting, you asked for a refund and said that the phone had no reception. We explained to you that we had marked the no-show and that cannot be cancelled.

Our guide Dario was just outstanding. Excellent command of English, very knowledgeable and very concerned and caring for the abilities and limitations of each of the six members of our group, ranging in age from 30s to 70s. Commentary involved various perspectives on the lava flows, interactions between the local population and the active volcano which was insightful. Visitor center stop allowed ample time for photography of the spectacular setting, a brief hike up the mountain, and a drink/bathroom/shopping stop for those inclined to more passive time. Maybe the highlight was exploration of a lava cave; unique for sure. Suggestion for those considering this excursion - check the weather on Etna, not in the cities at the base. It can get windy and cold on a mountain. Our only complaint had nothing to do with the tour itself, or of our guides. Both were superb. Our problem was with communication with management - in particular- confirming the meeting location. We sent messages through the Viator app - no response. Day of tour we showed up at the location shown on the Viator app but the office at that location was locked and had a different business name. Fortunately there was another couple waiting there. We both reached out to our booking companies - they were informed the meeting place was across the piazza. Viator only told us that the tour had not been cancelled. Both Viator and the company management failed us. If not for the other couple we would have missed an exceptional tour.

Our guide, Kevin, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about Etna. We had 3 generations together in the jeep and all of us enjoyed the trip and learnt so much.
The wine, oil and honey tasting was tied to a local producer with no pressure to buy.

A small group, comfortable vehicle and engaging guides. A close up look at Mt Etna without hiking. We were the only English speakers in the group but the guides ensured we got equal commentary. Would recommend.

We had the best adventure with our guide, Kevin, exploring a lava tube (under ground lava cave). It was so fascinating! Then we stopped for tastings of wine, oils and honey. A wonderful day!

The views from the volcano were absolutely surreal. We explored ancient lava flows, craters, and volcanic caves, and learned so much about the science behind this active volcano. The guides were passionate, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. They brought the landscape to life with their stories about Etna’s eruptions and its importance to Sicilian culture.

Amazing place and good tour. Our guide Kevin was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and we learned a lot too. Pick up, stopping points etc well organised. Not much walking involved, but we had some free time and our guide gave us lots of options what we can do. We chose to hike around. I'd recommend this experience and will use Viator again. Thank you

Our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and he explained how the lava flowed from the different eruptions. We also was able to walk on the craters and go into one of the lava caves. It was a great experience.
