A really special experience that stays with me months after I returned from the visit to Saqqara. The driver and guide I was lucky enough to travel with, Mr. Hisham, was very knowledgeable and a great driver. He was helpful, positive and friendly from the first meeting to the end of the trip. I would highly recommend him to other visitors for a comfortable and interesting trip to the Egyptian countryside. As a female solo traveler he also made me feel very safe something that was valuable to me. Overall a great experience!

Great tour! I recommend, it started bad with the driver showing up at 6:45 a.m. instead of 6:00 a.m. But, after that everything went great. Adam, the driver was very courteous and attentive, his English dough, was poor. Ahmed, the tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, courteous, attentive at all of our needs.

Highly recommend a guide for a trip to the Giza pyramids. Our guide Ahmad was both personable and knowledgeable, and helped us navigate the crowds and the shuttle buses now required to reach the pyramids and the Sphinx. As it’s our first time in Egypt he was happy answering all our questions about its history and peoples, as well as the story of the pyramids themselves. Ahmad also showed us the best spots to take photographs. Recommend getting entry tickets to advance to avoid the queues. Also if you’re with a guide you don’t get hassle from vendors/hawkers, although we were fortunate going in early April when it’s not at its busiest.

Highly recommend!

It's a completely different experience to visit the market and Islamic Cairo during the evening/night time. There's so much happening, and the buildings look incredible with the night mights; plus, the temperature is more pleasant. The guide was amazing! Super lively, talkative and informed. He spoke in Spanish and English, making sure everyone got access to all the information. He was also very diligent towards people's dinner choices, as well as providing money for purchases in the market in case the costumers didn't have cash. 5/5, highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience with Menar as our tour guide at the GEM Museum and the Giza Pyramids! We were traveling with our two young kids, and she was incredibly patient, engaging, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. She brought the history to life in a way that kept both adults and kids interested, and made everything feel easy and well-organized. Menar truly went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and enjoying every moment. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide—highly recommend her!

I cannot recommend this tour more highly !

Kyrllos Eskander was fantastic - he is highly knowledgeable in respect of the history of Ancient Egypt and the pyramids specifically. He gave us a detailed account of the history of the pyramids and Spinx, which was insightful and interesting. The tour made our day stress free - as opposed to other day trips in Egypt where we have travelled alone and found it difficult to navigate the Egyptian cultural practices, which being from London, we know little about.

Best way to see a different side of Egypt

We were promptly picked up from our hotel by our kind and professional driver, Waleed in a comfortable van. The 3 hours journey was seamless. Waleed provided us with water and pointed out important landmarks along the way. Our guide in Alexandra was knowledgeable about the history of catacombs and Citadel of Qaitbay. Lunch was at a local restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I highly recommend Emo Tours Egypt and will definitely use again.

Affordable private tour

Affordable private tour with guide and driver. Convenient pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. Although instructions said the guide would meet us in the lobby, the driver was waiting outside. Our guide Nour was very friendly and knowledgeable. We paid for our own admissions to 2 places (which was cheaper than booking with the admissions included). Ended up going 9am-4pm and felt it was totally worthwhile.

Great first day tour in cairo

Usam and our driver were awesome to spend the day touring some of these amazing sites. I like the fact that we started in Memphis and Saqqara which avoided some of the crowds. Usam was engaging, helped us with goo picture sites and even how to avoid some of the scams with come vendors. We had a lunch of Kaosharo which was INCREDIBLE! We finished off the day at the Giza complex. It was a great tour for the value. The only items that were not on the original itenerary was a stop at an essential oil “museum” shop and a papyrus “museum” which was kind of not what we had planned. The oil shop was a sales job and while the products were nice (we actually bought a small bottle) it was a bit high pressure and we didn’t really want to shop like this. We simply asked to skip the papyrus shop because we figured it would be the same, so I would simply ask to skip those parts if you did not want to shop. Overall, we loved our day with Usam ! thank you!
