Getting outside the big city
Rudy was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the region, the history, and the politics. He was open to answer all questions we had about the lifestyle and culture. The train trip out to the artist village was pleasant, and you were able to see sights outside the city. Would recommend this tour.

An ideal introduction to Budapest.
We booked this tour for our first day in Budapest, and it was an excellent experience. Our guide Sabi was very informative, covering the important buildings and history of the city along with recommendations for eating, travel and places to visit, all very clearly and with a nice sense of humor. Sabi looked after the group (about 20 ppl) very well, with plenty of stops and chats, and it lasted approximately 2 1/2 hours. It was a great introduction to the city, and we would recommend it to anyone.

Highly recommend this service
Shortly after booking this airport transfer, the service contacted to get get new details and confirm others. When I didn’t see their text on whatsapp, they sent a text through messenger to ensure I was aware of the details. They were at the airport on time. Driver was very courteous. Susana, our contact person, also came. She was very pleasant and answered all questions about Budapest. She also gave tips for seeing city sights and getting around city.

An easy trip into the nearby pastoral wine country of Hungary.
An extremely fun and engaging nighttime trip to visit the nearby vineyards. Our guide, Peter, was incredible: very knowledgeable about wine, culture, history, sports, and cuisine. We finished a tour of three family vineyards with a marvelous home cooked meal of game, cabbage salad, and more wine! Would highly recommend this tour to wine lovers and culture warriors.

Discouraging and list of time in Budapest
Unable to share a good comment. Never found the guide with a blue jacket. Learn not to ask for directions, everyone direct me to the opposite side. Time lost and left walking to the first tour site. Desperate I call aviator and I was told my tour guide had a blue umbrella. Lost my time and a
viator refunded me. Suggestion for everyone, double check with viator exact location, get the proper translation and ask them to describe position of tour guide and umbrella color.

Great way to tour Budapest
Overall great experience. Was a fun way to tour the entire city and view all of the key sites. Our family of four reserved a private tour. Within 10 minutes we were all trained and ready for a fun morning. The tour was from 10-2:30 and the time went by very quickly. Johnny was a very knowledgable guide. He was friendly, professional and made the entire experience enjoyable. The tour was a better way to see the sites without walking. Highly recommend.

Benjamin was the best...
Benjamin was the best guide as he was a local and knew the Jewish history really well. He was able to bring his own perspectives and experiences to the tour and I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to learn about the Jewish history in Budapest.

Faultless
Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Took the cruise at end of October so the whole of the upper deck was empty and I had the whole space to myself for most of the cruise. Got some excellent photos. The audio commentary was available from headsets both in the enclosed lower deck and also the open top deck. We were served our drinks on the way out and another on way back. The boat itself was very clean and beautiful. Would definitely recommend, we loved every second of it. Thanks to all involved.

High energy and interesting tour!!
Zsofia (Sophia). Was a high energy positive personality and gave a great tour of Budapest. We spent the majority of time driving in her car to various places starting with Pest and then moving over to Budapest. She offered a detailed explanation at each site and gave us Hungarian lessons along the way. We stopped and walked at several locations including Heroes square and St Mathias church. You can tell she had done this for decades as she has a mental script of everything and continues to talk all through driving in the chaotic traffic in the city. Budapest has the most wonderful architecture and is an interesting mix of classic architecture from late 1800s/early 1900s along with communist era brutalist buildings in various stages of maintenance. As an American, the long history of the Hungarians and all the occupations such as the Romans, the Ottoman Turks, the Hapsburg dynasty, Austria Hungarian empire, the Nazis, the Soviets, the long period of communism and then the transition to capitalism is fascinating!! Zsofia is a true Hungarian and loves to talk about her country. Now is probably not for everyone as like I stated she is high energy and forward which would probably not work for some subdued, less adventurous Americans, but it worked for us!!

Feeling Like Celebrities on Lake Balaton with Balazs
We had the most amazing experience with our guide, Balazs, on a day trip from Budapest to Lake Balaton. He picked us up in his beautifully restored 1965 mint green Volvo, which was such a unique and fun way to start the journey. Driving through Hungary in this epic classic car made us feel like celebrities — even coming from Hollywood, California, people were snapping photos of us everywhere we went!
Balazs is a fantastic guide – knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing his local history and culture. Along the way, he gave us fascinating insights into both Budapest and Balaton, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
He took us to the most gorgeous lunch spot at Echo in Balaton, where the food and views were equally incredible. We crossed the lake, drank fresh sparkling water straight from the ground, and even watched the graceful brown swans. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and special.
What really stood out was Balazs himself – friendly, personal, and accommodating to our requests, always going the extra mile to make the day perfect. By the end, it felt like we were exploring with a friend rather than just a guide.
This tour was truly a highlight of our time in Hungary, and we can’t recommend Balazs highly enough!

Enriching tour with Susan
Susan was by far the most knowledgeable travel guide we ever experienced. She is a walking encyclopedia for all historical events not just our tour related. It was a very worthwhile experience showing the Danube bend towns/attractions along with key attractions in Budapest. Very enriching experience.

Authentic Hungarian Experience!
We attended the 3 pm tasting with 5 wines. It was all held in English. Each wine was paired with meat and cheese. The sommelier was knowledgeable about Hungarian wines and the history and evolution of the grapes and their regions. We met people from UK, Poland, and US. The atmosphere was festive. We enjoyed the wines more than we expected to, and left feeling like we knew a little more about Hungry.
