What are people saying about Bucharest

Perfect day!
I wish I could remember the guide’s name but he was also the driver of the van and we went on June 15, 2026 if that helps. He was great! It was really a lovely day and a wonderful tour of (at least a slice) of Bulgaria. The guide also recommended the restaurant to eat at, which most of us joined him there for lunch and really had a delicious, authentic and cheap Bulgarian meal. Couldn’t recommend this tour more!!

Interesting trip. Would recommend.
Interesting tour with Christian who was a great guide. A tip for others travelling. Bring something warmer to wear than you think you need. At first the 55 degree temperature feels fine but after an hour as your body temperature drops more it gets pretty chilly.

Bust trip to Transilvania, Romania 🇷🇴
My experience was good and bad. The trip booked through Viator was not good. We waited in vain for the bus but it did not show up. Many people were stranded.
Lucky for us another bus tour was there abs the tour guide kindly allowed us to join the tour. The castles were beautiful and well beautiful and well worth the trip. Weather was perfect too. The tour guide was a bit choatic but she tried her best.
I am still waiting for my refund!

Bucharest walking history tour.
This is an excellent tour for first time visitors in Bucharest or if you have been here before but didn't get to do a city walking tour. Our guide was Ed and he really filled us in with fascinating history behind all the places we visited! Brought the fall of communism to life so much that we practically felt like we were there! Excellent value for the money.

Castles in the forest and mountains with beauty
Peles Castle is amazing and should not missed. Dracula Castle it’s fun to see and doesn’t necessarily need to be toured on the inside. Brasov really wasn’t anything incredible but it did add time to the trip. I would definitely do the trip as a private tour as opposed to a big Bus tour.

Long Day, But Great Trip - Guide Stefan Awesome
First of all, RTFM. Castle entry tickets are NOT included and about half the tour did not have them. You can't get them at Peles Castle. Instructions are very clear when booking, but it did not matter.
Secondly, traffic can be brutal on this trip; ours lasted almost 14 hours!
Lastly, our guide Stefan was awesome! As this was a (mostly) Spanish/English visitor bus, so he had to say everything twice. But he did it with a smile. And was extremely helpful sorting tickets (some are timed and had to be reissued). He also provided very clear instructions, used WhatsApp to communicate to the group, and gave recommendations on restaurants to the best local foods to try. Great guide!

The best 2 hours of my weekend in Bucharest
What a great experience! We were collected from our hotel by Alin in a shiny electric tuk tuk, given 2 bottles of water and a snack and taken on a fantastic 2 hour tour that included all the key sights of Bucharest. Alin (who is the owner of this company) provided a lovely, humorous running commentary whilst driving. The great thing about this tour is that when you get to a landmark Alin just bumps the tuk tuk up the kerb, you hop off, he gives you a quick history and then takes your photo. Then it's back in the tuk tuk and you're off to the next sight. Do this on your first day and you will then know all the places you want to go back to and explore further on the rest of your trip. Honestly, I can't give this a higher recommendation, just book it, you won't be disappointed!

Great way to experience Bucharest
We had a wonderful time on this tour … Julian was so knowledgeable on the history of Bucharest and also a lot of fun to spend the day with. We enjoyed the tour, the food, the beer and the conversation.
We had a great group of 8 who got along well. We took public transportation to a really cool area of the city we would not have visited otherwise and saw a large market where the locals shop. Highly recommend!

Amazing!
This is a fantastic and detailed walking tour centred around Romania's Communist history. Our tour guide Tudor was super kind and patient and really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He answered any questions we had and it felt like he was genuinely committed to giving a detailed tour. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to see more of the city and learn about its history. Thank you Tudor!

You have to do this!
Our driver and guide, Robert, was great. Informative and knowledgeable! We were taken to all the sites, given a history lesson and stopped to get some wonderful pictures. This was a wonderful experience from a local with lots of information to share for 2 hours.

Spectacular History
Pele Castle is spectacular the history behind both castles is amazing so is the old charm of Brasov.
Our guide Otilia was very knowledgeable, but delivered this real passion and humour made the day so enjoyable. George the driver was very good navigating some horrendous traffic and mountain roads.
The pace of the trip is just right.

Fantastic tour.
Laura was amazing. Her English and knowledge of the various site was exceptional. We were able to travel at our own pace while spending time where we truly were excited about. Book with Laura and your amazing adventure will begin the moment you meet her.

Bucharest is a multi-faceted European capital that has, in many ways, modernized rapidly since the fall of the Soviet Union. But it retains an old-world flavor that makes it a favorite among travelers. Learn about Romania’s complex past with history-focused Bucharest tours, then sample the city’s specialties on a food-focused walk and see major attractions like the royal palace. There are even excursions to popular tourist destinations nearby like Transylvania and Dracula’s Castle.
