Great tour, our guide was very nice made the tour interesting, not only to learn about the castles but of Bucharest and Romania as a whole. It would of been good to have been able to spend maybe an extra 30mins around Bran castle as we felt a little rushed at the end of the day.

Overall, the tour was well-organized and covered many of Romania’s key highlights, which I really appreciated.
However, one important point I would suggest the organizer to improve is providing clearer guidance on ticket arrangements for certain attractions, especially Peleș Castle. It would be very helpful if the itinerary could indicate the approximate arrival time at each site, along with a recommendation on what time slot tickets to purchase in advance. It should also clearly state in the description that visitors are expected to purchase tickets themselves ahead of time.
In our case, we only found out on the day that tickets needed to be booked beforehand, and by then they were already sold out. As a result, it seemed that no one in our group was able to enter Peleș Castle.
That said, the exterior views were still beautiful and worth the visit, but having clearer instructions beforehand would definitely improve the overall experience.

Overall good experience. Our guide Julia was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with cafe / food recommendations. She did a great job the entire tour and made everyone feel welcome. Just keep in mind that tickets for entrance aren’t included and you should purchase as early as possible!! We went on a holiday and tickets for one of the castles had sold out, so we couldn’t go in that one.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and great to have guiding us on our day tour. He had a lot of facts about each city and the sights were excellent!
Joannedr_D, Apr 2026
Great day out of city to see castles, a bit of history and Mountain View’s.Julia our guide was fab friendly and knowledgeable. Only downside is that it was a long day made longer by traffic
Jocelyn_P, Apr 2026
Really great way to fit in everything in one day. You have plenty of time walk through and see the palace/castle. The palace and castle took about an hour for me to walk through and then I had 30 ish minutes to explore the town. This trip takes you into the mountains, which is much colder than Bucharest. I went in the beginning of april, and although in Bucharest it was about a high of 12°C in the mountains it was -3°C and snowing.

It was a great experience overall. We had a lovely journey, not too much traffic on the way there and back, and also we arrived back in time for dinner. Only thing that may be suggested as an improvement is that maybe we should spend 30 mins or so more at Piata Sfatului in Brasov and 30 mins less therefore at Bran castle, but that is just a personal opinion. Nonetheless, it goes without say that Iulia was a great tour guide. Also, I forgot the name of the driver, but he was great as well!

Great day out. The tour guide was excellent. We learned lots about the history of Romania and saw some great scenery. Very good value for money. We would have preferred a bit more time at the castles but that would have been difficult as it was a 12 hour trip.
stuart_n, Apr 2026
Excellent tour well run on time and value for money our guide was funny and very good . Only down side was there was no tickets available for inside the first castle
Ken_Y, Apr 2026
The tour included visiting 2 castles without tickets. The Pele castle ticket has been sold out like 2 weeks before so really an disappointment for us. It was suggested to purchase in advance but it would be nice if we were told all tickets already sold out so we know we will not be able to enter the castle with a 2 ways 6 hours drive. Of course the company will say this is our own issue and they have zero responsibility.
The tour guide was ok, very nice guy. Only the tour said it is in English but actually combined with a large group of non-English speakers(Italian I think), sharing same mother tongue with the guide. It was obvious that everything was prioritized with the Non English language, so most of the time, English speakers are the later group who get the info with shorter explanation. Most killing part is on our way back, the tour guide stand next to us and speak with the other group in foreign language for like 30 mins. Feel really annoying. It may not be the guide's own fault, but having 2 groups with different languages in the same tour itself is a mistake. I bet the non-English group will give 5 stars to the guide. The customer service staff communicated in app message is the worst though which make our feeling even worse.
Joined the same gray line tour to the salt mine on the next day which is a far better experience.
If you choose this tour, pls expect the min you can get, do more research on your own and the company won't care your feeling.

Great tour overall. Highly recommend if it's your first time visitng Peles Castle, Bran Castle and Brasov. Peles was closed as it was a Monday however still beautiful from the outside. Had some time to explore Brasov, though would have been nice to have had a bit more time there.
bruce_k, Mar 2026
Truely magical experience. Good value for money.i enjoyed seeing more of România in the comfort of the bus. I would have liked USP Charger Points. Other than that 100% worth it . Our Tour guide, who spoke perfect English was very knowledgeable and very polite and kind. Thank you
Stephanie_B, Mar 2026
We loved all the stops but wish we would have done a small group or private tour. Our English tour got mixed with a Spanish tour and so the guide was having to say the commentary in two languages. Sometimes we would have already passed by what he was talking about by the time he said it in English, which was frustrating. It seemed most of the other tours we saw during the day had the guides actually go into the castles with their clients to give commentary, and in hindsight that would have been nice. Still, it was a lovely day and we’re grateful for the safe transportation and the chance to see the castles and Brasov area.

It is a very long day but worth it. We did not go into the castles as my sister has issues with walking and stairs but I was told by others that they were very interesting. Iulia was a very knowledgeable and helpful guide but was not always mindful of my sister being a lot slower than the rest of the party and we nearly lost track of her is Brasov.
Balazs_K, Mar 2026
The meeting point is the universitate, how some other buses so need careful don't board wrong one. We go separate group half Italian group and other else. Well organised. First we go the peles and pelisor castle. Very busy, long waiting line and to peles castle the ticket sold out so I just see outside area. Easiest you book before online. After we go to brasov town center. Little free time to lunch end discover the town. After go to bran (dracula) castle is also mega busy area. Honestly is really overpriced ticket £15 to simple castle full with tourists. Very hard to move in the small corridors with this uncontrolled people, hard to enjoy. This trip good to fast see around in transylvania

This experience was very good overall, but other potential travellers should know that it’s a long day with a long time spent on the coach. Fortunately we were aware of this before booking, so we knew roughly what to expect. We had about 1hr 15min at each destination, roughly. We wished we hadn’t bothered with tickets to go inside Peleș Castle as it was very busy with other visitors and it was frustrating to get stuck behind a huge group of school kids in the rooms upstairs where it was too narrow to pass - not ideal when they’re not rushing but you are! When you get to Brașov you’ll have time for lunch or exploration, but not both. Bran Castle was our highlight of the trip, and we are definitely glad we went inside. Though it isn’t as big or grand as Peleș, we found it much more charming and interesting.

Fantastic trip! We really enjoyed the day, well planned and lots of free time, and really enjoyed discovering Transylvania -
kldpsa, Mar 2026
It’s a long day but if you are short on time, it’s a great way to see a couple of castles and the charming town of Brasov, in addition to some amazing scenery. I learned all sorts of things from our driver/guide about Romania, its history and legends. Definitely recommend!
Josh_H, Mar 2026
A great tour and our tour guide gave us a really good background without going too over the top. Both castles and Brasov were great and would recommend visiting. The tour was a little rushed but we knew this going in and it was a long day so hard to know where time could’ve been added and it was still worth doing. It is a long day so be prepared to bring drinks and snacks and to always have half an eye on the time but you will enjoy it!
Aikaterini_S, Mar 2026
The tour was good although very tight schedule. However, the behaviour of the operator was unacceptable. They overcharged us 110 euros more for buying the entrance tickets for the castles from them ( the official sites charged 86 euros with one child and another one under 6 free of charge and they charged us in total 196 euros without option of free of charge on their offer). We asked for a refund at least for the child that was free of charge and although they promised they will do so they never did!!!The company that did that was Grayline Romania- we definately not recommend this company. The tour is good but do not use Grayline Romania....unacceptable behaviour.

It is a long day but so worth it. Ana, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a beautiful scenic route also.
Cherry_P, Mar 2026
It's a long day tour, places to visit are beautiful especially Peles Castle. However, we waited half an hour for other participant which caused the delay of the trip and then traffic as well on our way to Peles castle that caused another delay. Hoping that next time be firm with the time of the participant cause half of the participants came on time.
Beverley_F, Mar 2026
Great day out .Well organised, super knowledgeable and friendly tour guide .
Castle at Bran very disappointing.
Long day
Would recommend ,but not necessary to go in castle

Yulia is a guide with a wealth of knowledge of the country's history and seems like a subject expert!
Candice_S, Feb 2026
First the good… Hotel pick up was convenient. The tour made it possible for us to see parts of Romania other than Budapest. Transylvania is beautiful, especially covered in snow. The bad… we understood it would be a very long day but were willing to do the tour because we thought it would be an outstanding experience. The driver for the tour coughed constantly the entire trip. He was not wearing a mask. He also spent a good amount of time talking on his phone while driving. The tour was not really a tour. The tour guide was kind and did give us a small amount of info here and there, but just know you are paying for transportation and that is pretty much it. We were dropped off for both castles far away from the entrance with very little direction given but we found our way using Google Maps :). We knew the day would be long but didn’t realize that 2/3 of the trip would be spent riding in the bus. We felt extremely rushed at Peles castle but had too much time at Bran Castle. The visit in Brasov was just enough time to eat a nice lunch with very little time left over.
Pam_M, Feb 2026
This is a long day, In our opinion, worthwhile. The driver makes a couple of comfort break stops, and much of the scenery is pretty. Our guide for the day was Julia, she was a joy to spend time with, knowledgeable, and very affable. there is a stark contrast in the two castles, which is perhaps why they are on the same tour. It was snowy in January when we visited, at Peles in particular it was slippery which may affect those who are less mobile.
I really recommend this trip, it was my favourite thing I did whilst in in Bucharest. If you are very lucky Julia will be your guide for the day, she makes the day feel as though you have spent it with a good friend
Thomas_R, Feb 2026
We had an amazing full-day trip to Transylvania, and it couldn’t have been better, especially with the snow making everything look magical.
Anna was fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly and Mr. Nicholas was an excellent driver who made us feel completely safe and comfortable all day. Visiting Bran Castle in the snow was a real highlight.
It was a great day from start to finish, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Highly recommended!
Sofia_B, Feb 2026
Fantastic trip! The tour allows you to visit 2 beautiful castles and the old town of Brasov. Our guide Ana was welcoming, knowledgable, and took care of us for the entire trip. The driver Mr Nicolas made the journey feel safe and we were very comfortable on the coach. I’d recommend this trip to anyone staying in Bucharest wanting to see the sights.
Lorna_B, Feb 2026
We absolutely loved the tour today! Our tour guide Julia was so lovely and friendly and very knowledgable. Transylvania was amazing!
Isobel_W, Feb 2026
Our guide was Roberto and he was fantastic. We ran into issues getting to the meeting place on time so Roberto worked with us to find a place along the route we could get to in time and he stopped to pick us up. We really appreciate this. He was friendly and chatty and very knowledgable. The trip was amazing, I 100% recommend this activity. Coach left the original meeting point at 7:45ish and returned around 7:30-8. We had about 35mins free time at Peles Castle, 2.5 hours at Brasov, and 1.5 hours at Bran Castle. Totally worth it.
