- Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and can only be visited from the outside on these days.
- Bran Castle may sometimes be visited after Brasov, depending on traffic conditions and opening hours.
- Children under 4 years old cannot attend shared tours.
- In the event of heavy traffic or force majeure situations, the tour may take longer than expected.

Trip was good but I was expecting an English guide all along. The guide, Mr Santiago spoke mostly Spanish and very little English. That was the only issue . Thanks. Rajeev Varma
It was very nice and the guide was knowledgeable. It is a loooong day so just be prepared. The countryside is beautiful.
Not for the faint hearted …. we spent 13 hours on the bus for the round trip with about 5 hours enjoying the highlights and the rest in traffic. Be prepared 😳
Also note this tour does not include entry to Peles Castle or Bran Castle. The first was sold out so we went to a smaller house in the complex and we booked ahead for the second. Guide was friendly, thorough and helpful. A long day but worthwhile if you are only in the area for one day.
Had a great time visiting Peleş castle, Braşov and Bran castle, it was a very long day at over 13 hrs but our guide Danny was great and kept us informed and entertained, our driver was amazing too driving us back through thunder and lightning storms back to Bucharest.
Would recommend this trip.

Long day but totally worth if for the castles, the history and the possible sightings of brown bears
Steffan was a great guide. He delivered commentary in English and Spanish and had the plan down to a science. We bought castle tickets for the timeslots mentioned in the details and everything worked perfectly. I felt sorry for those that did not buy tickets in advance because Peles was sold out.
Although this was a very long day, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all that we did. Dani was an excellent guide and was well versed in all the questions we asked him. He also managed to do this tour in Italian, English and Romanian!

Tickets to attractions not included. Make sure you buy those in addition to the tour. Also be really careful and be sure you buy from the exact vendors
Excellent day! I really enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide, Boyana, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and made the tour run effortlessly!
At the beginning we were lost where to find the tour guide. There need to be a sign somewhere in the Bucharest Universit. The only thing is that an hour and half wasn't enough for Lunch in Brasov. Everything else was great! Thank you for a memorable tour. It is suggested to let the tourist know that tickets aren't included. They need to be announced before someone buy the tour tickets.
Terrible trip and terrible tour company. Was given no communication from the company for buying tickets to Pele’s castle, and tickets were sold out upon arrival so I could not go on tour.
I was given the wrong pick up location from the company causing me to almost miss the tour, and were unresponsive the morning of the tour when I tried to each out to them to get the right pick up location.
In top of this, the same company canceled my tour to Bulgaria 15 hours before departure making me go through Viator customer support to get a refund.
I would give this company 0/5 stars if I could. Been on 100s of tours in 80+ countries and never experienced such a poorly run company.
1. Information on the need to purchase our own entry tickets to castles could have been clearer and more forthcoming. When we got to Peles, they were sold out and we needed to buy from a third party at more than twice what we would have paid on our own (as seniors). Overall, the two castle tours added more than 50% to the total cost.
2. A/C did not work on bus, except for driver and guide.
3. Information on where to meet the bus was incorrect. We waited nearly 1/2 hour before the guide called us to say we had to walk a couple more blocks across (or under) a busy intersection.
Our guide was very engaging but also gave us the freedom to explore the 3 sites. Peles Castle and Bran castle were the highlights
Tour guide provided minimal information throughout the visits. Almost none during all the time we spent on the bus. No commentary for Peles and Bran castles, even before entering as mentioned in "What's included". In Brasov, even though it is advertised as a 20 min walking tour, we had none (only brought us to city center without any description and left us on our own).
Although we knew in advance (and had made bookings accordingly), it would be easier if the tour company prebooked the castle tickets.
The castles are great to visit, but the organization of this tour could be better.
It’s a long day but worth it. Stefan it’s a great guide, very knowledgeable and give excellent recommendations of where to eat.
A great way to get out of the city and see the country. We had comfortable coach, very good driver Daniel, and our guide Stefan giving commentary along the way. Plenty of time at each stop off point and he'd chat with any of us asking questions. Whole day was excellent. I really would recommend this to anyone. Well worth the cost.
It is not enough time to see Peles castles. Peles castle is the number one part of the entire tour and the inside was the best part. You have to buy tickets in advance which they don’t tell you about. You also don’t have enough time. We had to skip lunch and taxi to meet the group because we wanted to see the inside of the castle. Very poorly run tour.
First of all, RTFM. Castle entry tickets are NOT included and about half the tour did not have them. You can't get them at Peles Castle. Instructions are very clear when booking, but it did not matter.
Secondly, traffic can be brutal on this trip; ours lasted almost 14 hours!
Lastly, our guide Stefan was awesome! As this was a (mostly) Spanish/English visitor bus, so he had to say everything twice. But he did it with a smile. And was extremely helpful sorting tickets (some are timed and had to be reissued). He also provided very clear instructions, used WhatsApp to communicate to the group, and gave recommendations on restaurants to the best local foods to try. Great guide!
We were put together with a Spanish speaking tour. So for 12 hours we had to listen to listen to info back and forth in both languages. Very difficult to pay attention and understand any thing. Also the guide told me I could get tickets at the gate for both castles and both were sold out. Not a great experience 😪
We bought our castle tickets 3 months early from Gray Line to make sure we had the best entry times.
But they make a mistake and we had to wait around for 30 minutes to see Pele’s Castle. Because of that, we didn’t have time to see Pelesor, the other palace nearby that the tickets included.
The guide and the driver were great. And lunch in old town Brasov was great.

The tour was really good, although we could have spent a little more time at Bran Castle. The guide Ana made a fantastic job, she made sure that all passengers had a good time, and felt comfterbal. She was really wise, clever and had a lot of knolage about the tour.
Had a lovely day.. Our Driver/Guide Lucian. (think thats how you spell it) but also known as David was very informative. He definitely knows his stuff and engaged well with us. The stops we had were very impressive and the drive was comfortable. There was only 8 of us which was nice. My husband sat up front which he enjoyed i sat next to a stranger but it was ok. All in all had a good day out and its worth doing.
The trip was great. The driver Daniel and the tour guide Stephan did a fantastic job so the trip went as smoothly as possible and we learned many interesting facts about Romanian history.
We had some delays but the experience was great and totally worth it.
Definitely recommend but keep in mind its better to book tickets for the castles before the trip and check if the castles are open on the day you're traveling!
Julia was sensational. Couldn’t have had a better tour host. She is a credit to your company. However we were so unsure what to do as Viator (who we booked through) were adamant we met at 7.45 at the university. Gray line who ran the tour were adamant we met at 8 at the grand hotel. If it wasn’t for Julia we would have thought this was a scam. Hooray for Julia and dragos our driver. We had a fab day.
While it take some time to get to Transylvania, it was well worth the time. We loved the mountains and beautiful setting of the Castle.
Great tour, our guide was very nice made the tour interesting, not only to learn about the castles but of Bucharest and Romania as a whole. It would of been good to have been able to spend maybe an extra 30mins around Bran castle as we felt a little rushed at the end of the day.
Overall, the tour was well-organized and covered many of Romania’s key highlights, which I really appreciated.
However, one important point I would suggest the organizer to improve is providing clearer guidance on ticket arrangements for certain attractions, especially Peleș Castle. It would be very helpful if the itinerary could indicate the approximate arrival time at each site, along with a recommendation on what time slot tickets to purchase in advance. It should also clearly state in the description that visitors are expected to purchase tickets themselves ahead of time.
In our case, we only found out on the day that tickets needed to be booked beforehand, and by then they were already sold out. As a result, it seemed that no one in our group was able to enter Peleș Castle.
That said, the exterior views were still beautiful and worth the visit, but having clearer instructions beforehand would definitely improve the overall experience.
Overall good experience. Our guide Julia was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with cafe / food recommendations. She did a great job the entire tour and made everyone feel welcome. Just keep in mind that tickets for entrance aren’t included and you should purchase as early as possible!! We went on a holiday and tickets for one of the castles had sold out, so we couldn’t go in that one.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and great to have guiding us on our day tour. He had a lot of facts about each city and the sights were excellent!
