Not a tour, but a unique experience
If you get the chance to take this tour, do not hesitate for a second.
Our guide picked us up in the morning and what followed was one of the most memorable days of our entire trip. Yes, you get the standard Tiraspol tour — the Soviet monuments, the Sheriff superstore, the unrecognised currency, the checkpoints — but what sets this experience apart is the depth of knowledge and genuine passion he brought to every single moment.
He covered the history of Transnistria with remarkable nuance: the totalitarian legacy, the mentality shaped by decades of isolation, the painful realities of poverty, and the complex question of what EU integration might mean for people here. But what truly distinguished him as a guide was his approach. He never lectured. He would point things out and let you draw your own conclusions. He didn't tell us "people here are sad" or "people here are unhappy." Instead, at the end of the day he simply said: "Pay attention to how many people smiled at you today." That one quiet observation said more than any lecture ever could.
But the highlight came on the way back, when he took us off the beaten path entirely — winding through remote villages where time seems to have stopped. Abandoned houses, crumbling factories, roads that barely deserve the name. And in each village, he pointed out what he called the Soviet-era trilogy: the World War II monument honouring the victims and the victory over Nazism, the House of Culture where ideology was spread and community life was controlled, and the Lenin statue — because no Soviet village, however small, was complete without one. You could see his eyes light up hunting for these traces of a vanished world. It felt like travelling with a dedicated archaeologist of communism.
He was attentive to our needs throughout, accommodating every special request without hesitation. The tour ran more than two hours over schedule — not because anything went wrong, but because there was always one more thing worth seeing, one more thought worth provoking. By the end he was clearly exhausted, having given absolutely everything. But he was also, unmistakably, happy.
This is not a tour. It is an experience that will stay with you. Highest possible recommendation.

Fantastic Tour Experience in Chișinău
I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Mihai was incredibly kind and knowledgeable — he shared a lot of interesting information about the history and present-day life of the city, and he answered all of my questions thoughtfully. The wine was amazing as well. On top of that, he gave me great recommendations for local places to eat. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Mihai!

More than its description especially with Nicolai showing us these sights.
A great tour and the guide Nicolai was fantastic giving us a real overview of Moldova. We not only learned the political side of this interesting country but he took us through small villages showing us how they actually live. The wine tasting was superb and the vast quantities and different varieties is amazing. Thank you for such a great day.

Oleg came out if his way...
Oleg came out if his way to collect me as I was not inside the standard pick area. He was friendly with great knowlege of Moldova , its history and geography. The day was conducted at a good pace, Oleg took time to ask all his guests about who we where which was a nice touch. The Mux of Churches, the valley and thd wine tour was a great alternative to seeing just Chisinau and is a good day out to give you more perspective to Moldovian culture and its people

Excellent day out!
Really incredible day out. Diana was a perfect guide and had a great meal at Tatiannas home. I had some issues with my card and Diana made sure it wasn’t an issue - this was massively appreciated on my end. Really knowledgable throughout, funny and a truly awesome day. Would recommend this to anyone!

Amazing walking tour!
Thank you , Natalia, for my walking tour in Chisinau! It was a wonderful tour! Highly recommend ! Natalia was perfectly on time and very helpful. The tour was well organized, and she gave her 100 percent — it was even above my expectations. She is very professional. We saw many beautiful sights, and she also gave me excellent recommendations for other places to visit in Moldova — I didn’t even imagine there was so much to see. Great experience!

Must do - eye opening experience
A stunning travel back in time and a very valuable lesson on history and identity.
A magical and very relaxed pace excursion to an incredibly nice historical area rich in identity with genuine people around.
Furthermore our guide Corneliu was really good and very attentive. He tailored cmthe tour to our interests and adapted timing of several visits to accommodate our thirst for knowledge around the historical dynamics of the Pridnestrovie territory and it's people's identity and claims for autonomy and independence, their traditions and the mindset of the locals. Corneliu has proven to be a very respectful an impartial narrator of the events that lead the locals to demanding their recognition and we really appreciated the knowledge he shared and the contextual information he provided on each site and monument we visited.
Furthermore the lunch break at CCCP was simply stunning: excellent and very tasty traditional food and a laid back atmosphere.

An adventure through Pridnestrovie!
Anton took me on an amazing trip to see the real Pridnestrovie. I had a great time seeing both the city and countryside, and it was wonderful to chat with the locals through Anton’s translations. There are plenty of surprises along the way! Despite what the UK government says, Pridnestrovie feels very safe and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Anton - I’d definitely recommend this adventure!

Can be booked directly through the winery
We really enjoyed this winery, it was a great experience and we had a really good time. Our driver was really quiet, and hard to find at the end of the tour, but we appreciated the ride. If we could do this again, we probably would have just booked directly through the winery and caught an uber. This tour didn’t really provide anything special that we couldn’t have planned ourselves.

A Day in the Wine Tunnels
Fascinating tunnel travel with explanations of the various wine collections. Not your standard wine tour of “how we make it”. Lovely wine tasting of three wines with nice snacks and Moldavian music. Nathalie a lovely articulate guide. Recommend this tour to others!

Great day exploring an 'unrecognised country'
Great day. Marina was a fantastic guide - full of information and enthusiasm.
Long day - we got back to Chisinau at 7.45pm - so it probably won't work if you've got a flight to catch!
You'll need to exchange money for lunch - we changed 700 MLD and bought 2x beers; 2x soups; 1x dumplings and 2x puddings for lunch. We had spare for 3x dried caviar and a lot of chocolate! There was an additional opportunity to exchange money after lunch...
Please note, you can not change the local currency back!

Was picked up from...
Was picked up from outside my hotel in a comfortable car with AC (it was a very hot day)
My guide was very friendly and had very detailed answers to all my questions. On the way to transnistra he was showing us local sites and stopped off at an old Romanian Orthodox Church which was really impressive and a highlight for me. Once in transnistra we made many stops to several different sites along with another car with his female colleague who was also very informative. They were both very outgoing and fun.
After the tour I was dropped back off outside my hotel
