This tour was like a semester of Romania 101 in two hours. We heard about architecture, history- good and bad, where to get good food and drink, etc. Adrian is funny and super knowledgeable about Budapest and Romania.

This tour was a good way to start my trip in Bucharest. I was able to get a good understanding of the layout of the main streets, where to find food and where to do all my tourist shopping. I learned a lot about the city, and it's long history. Hour tour guide Adrian was very nice and had lots of fun and cheese vampire jokes.

It was raining and the streets were wet and slippery, I told the tour guide to slow down twice but he kept going fast, telling us “let’s go let’s go” repeatedly, even after I told him that I had fallen the day before. More importantly, he kept picking on a fellow traveller asking about his religion, what he eats, what he drinks, etc, which was all inappropriate. I’d also recommend that he makes less jokes. Sometimes they get lost in translation and sometimes we were not sure if he was joking or serious. At the end I think the tour has some potential if the guide gets out of his own way. Lastly, the commentary was a bit too nationalistic to be cool. I don’t want to be too harsh on the guy but he has some work to do.

Adrian is a very funny and nice person. He is not the usual tour guide but it is definetly one to remember with a smile on your face. It was a very interesting fast paced 2 hours tour in main area of Bucharest. I would encourage you to try him out.

Highly recommend going on this walking tour with Adrian. He took us around many sights and gave us “more than just the guide book” information at the each. Just a caution - old town Bucharest has a lot of uneven cobble stone pavement - not ideal if you are pushing a stroller - this would be true of any walking tour that includes old Bucharest. We especially appreciated Adrian’s personal insights that he shared at the sights, like how in his hometown, he recalls attending an exorcism with his grandmother (story he told us outside a Bucharest church that still conducts them), or his family’s experiences and some of his memories of the communist era.
Highly recommend - well worth the value and actually worth more than he charged on Viator (so we were happy to tip extra).
Finally - the local restaurant he recommended was excellent! Probably 90% locals (unlike the typical tourist choice in old town), with incredible fresh baked bread, reasonable prices for traditional foods, a local quartet playing, and a nice outdoor courtyard if the weather is right.
