We had a fantastic personal tour with our guide Nicu yesterday. He took us all over Bucharest seeing various buildings, sites and attractions. It was an amazing way to see Bucharest for the first time. I highly recommend doing a personal tour!!

Our private tour of Bucharest was a perfect 4 hours with our tour guide Dan. An on-time and friendly greeting at our hotel kicked off a pleasant early-morning walking tour of Old Town where we began to learn about the rich and also challenged history of this country. Visiting a Christian Orthodox church during their Sunday service was an unexpected treat. On the driving tour of the city we visited every key landmark, including Parliament, which is a sight to behold. A relaxing walking tour of the Village Museum was so interesting to see replica/original homesteads from every part of Romania — from the countryside to the coast. A stop for some exquisite eclairs and coffee at a cafe was appreciated before closing with stops at the Nicolae Ceaușescu museum and the Central Committee building where we could further reflect on the past politics and struggles this country and its people faced for many years. Dan had a first-person perspective and was so incredibly knowledgeable about the city, country and its culture. And, he sent us off with a fantastic lunch recommendation at the City Grill in Old Town. Don’t let the name fool you — it’s 100% authentic Romanian food; and, it was delicious. We highly recommend this tour and Dan as a tour guide!

The guide's (Ovideyou, spelling ?)
extensive knowledge of Romanian history and culture, and of Bucharest architecture. He was able to explain complex historical processes in a comprehensible manner. He was also very attentive to the needs of his tourists. An all-round cool guy!

This tour gives you a good view of the major parts of the city. The guide is very knowledgeable and I very much enjoyed talking with him. During the tour my wife and I got a very good understanding of the history of the city, culture of the people, and the difference between rich and poor parts. Only regret I have is we did not get to walk inside the Parliament building, I thought this was part of the tour but if your interested in this I would tell them in advance.

Regarding visiting Parliament Palace inside, we can arrange it, so we can include this in the tour and we do it with a part of our tourists. Our recommendation is to use that 90 minutes for visiting other places in Bucharest (for a better understanding of the city) and of course to go around Parliament Palace, stop in Constitution Square for some pictures and other info. In this case we have time to visit also poor part of Bucharest and reach area in Bucharest. The tour it's about 4 hours ...4 hours and 30 minutes...and it's true, Bucharest needs more time :) It's a great city and we are happy to present it to everybody :) Thank you for your kind words and you are welcome any time to reach us again! This 4-hour tour is the best way to see a lot of Bucharest highlights in less than 1 day. While you could see these stops yourself, having your tour guide to teach you about the sites and share their knowledge of Bucharest and Romanian history really adds to the experience to make it worth the organized tour.
For me, this was the beginning of a long trip and it was the best way to start seeing Bucharest.

What an excellent tour we had with Alexander. He showed us the city of Bucharest and told us the history in a personal way that made this trip an excellent experience! When we were finished, we knew the culture and history of Bucharest, Romania and the people. We especially liked the outdoor village, which shows how the people of Romania lived over time. Would highly recommend this tour!!

My tour guide, Dan, was accommodating and tailored the tour to my interests. I had already seen the Palace of the Parliament, so we spent more time at the Dimitrie Gusti National Museum which I thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing the Revolution Square and the monuments and hearing the experience of my guide as a young adolescent during that time helped me better understand the Romanian history at that tremulous time. My tour guide had many stories of people and interesting facts as we drove around Bucharest. He also was very knowledgeable about the architecture styles and years buildings were constructed. I highly recommend this tour.

We were so grateful to our Tour Guide, Dan, who went over and above to help us with the itinerary: there was a bike race in Bucharest which meant some roads were closed off. Dan worked around this and even spent extra time with us to ensure we had done all the items on the list. Dan was also very knowledgeable and answered all our questions too. Great guide and great organisation!

The guide had very little knowledge of the city or it's history especially during the time of the revolution.
He also suggested the going to old town was not a good idea as it was dangerous especially during the evening. We went during the day and really enjoyed the environment

After a meeting with Alex (your guide for the Bucharest City Tour) and the phone conversation with you, I conclude the following:
Alex was on time for pick-up from your hotel with a full option Range Rover car. You had a city tour and after three hours you asked to go to the Old Town to drink a glass of wine. You felt good and asked if Bucharest is a safe city and he answered that you can visit the old center in the evening without any problems. I totally agree with the information provided by Alex and I do not agree with the fact that you support the idea that it is not a safe city, including at night time!
Regarding the fact that you claim that Alex has no knowledge of history or the revolution, I do not agree with this because all the tour guides of Nicolas Experience Tours company are licensed in tourism and in addition to this, they were examined and tested by me! Alex has so far obtained 37 5-star reviews and only you support the idea that he has no knowledge of history, evaluating the performance of the tour at 2 stars!
You told me on the phone that you didn't learn anything from Alex during this 4-hour tour, but I don't understand why you left him a big tip and paid for his drink in the old center if you weren't satisfied with his services . It is very hard for me to believe that you cannot learn anything from someone in 4 hours, especially since it was your first contact with Romania.
Both Alex and I, were very surprised by your review and I'm sorry that you booked this tour with us!
