Worth every penny!
Super fun coastal kayaking, cliff diving, and snorkeling adventure with Marcos. He was timely, professional, and spoke excellent english. They have a secure place to store your belongings, a fridge you can store water in (if you ask nicely 😉), and Marcos takes GoPro pictures and videos for everyone! All you need to bring is a towel (if you want one, you probably won't need it. I didnt.), a change of clothes, a wallet for the snack shack and bar located on the beach, and a good attitude! This was absolutely worth the money. Thanks again, Marcos!

Fantastic and memorable tour. A must to do.
What a tour this was. Fantastic and a must to do. It was half day tour but very well organized. Montserrat is beautiful. We could touch the Lady Madonna. It was such a touching and spiritual experience. We walked up the trail to the cross, ate some local cheese and honey and the experience was amazing. This place is such a breathtaking and memorable one.

Wonderful day exploring Girona and Costa Brava
Our family had an amazing time with Marcel. He was an awesome guide and very informative. Our kids ages 6 and 9 also enjoyed the whole tour and Marcel made sure they were included in all parts and kept them engaged the whole time. We would definitely recommend a tour with Marcel!

Solo Traveler
As you would expect, there were a lot of people there. There are restaurants, gift, shops, and a small open air market with cheese, honey, and other things. I came on a tour bus from Barcelona. Our tour guide, Francisco, was very versed in the history surrounding Monserrat. Listen carefully for your meeting spots, because I couldn’t find anyone when I came out of the cathedral. The Basilica is very grand. I went to see the boys choir sing, and one of the benefits of that was that the lights for the choir made the gilded frames around the art in the chancel and apse glisten. However, the music performance is very short. From start to finish it was 14 minutes, and part of that was speaking. Since I could see it from the nave, I did not go up to see the Black Madonna. There was a continual line of people crossing in front of her above the apse which was interesting to watch. Because walking is difficult for me and it was sunny and hot, I took the Saint Joan funicular up (buy your tickets at the station) and looked at the view, but I did not take any of the hikes. The rock formations were indeed incredible.I waited in order to be in the front car for the trip down. It was worth it. This was my first Viator tour, and I feel like it was worth the expense. It helped that Francisco was personable and friendly.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

While Barcelona has a ton to see and do within its city limits, there's plenty to do within day-tripping distance of the Catalan city. The Montserrat range is among the most popular Barcelona day trips, owing to its beautiful rock formations and historic basilica. Another popular option is the Costa Brava, known for its compact fishing villages and sea views. Guided day tours from Barcelona frequently combine Costa Brava time with a visit to nearby Girona, a medieval settlement with a gorgeous cathedral and cobblestoned streets.
