A MUST see in Barcelona. This was an excellent tour thanks to Javi, our wonderful tour guide. Not only was he a wealth of information, Javi made it fun and enjoyable for the entire group. I highly recommend this tour ONLY if you have Javi as your tour guide.

Private tour was absolutely the best way to go. Joan took into consideration our preferences as to what we wanted to take in and essentially customized our tour accordingly. Vehicle was comfortable & clean for the two of us. Joan actually recommended leaving a bit earlier than scheduled due to possible impact of weather. It worked absolutely perfect!
A comfortable ride with a very knowledgeable and courteous guide. We were lucky to have Edouardo as a guide. Definitely worth doing. The only thing was we could have stayed another hour or so to make the experience more complete.

Our trip to Montserrat with Javi as our guide was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and personable. The monestary and the basilica were beautiful but there are many stairs and hills to walk up and down. We did the cable car with our group, toured the basilca, monestary grounds and visited the museum in our free time.
Great driver/tour guide! Eduard picked us up in central Barcelona and drove us up to the Monastery. We had a historical and interesting tour of the Montserrat area and the beautiful church. We had ample free time to look around (we took the funicular train up the mountain- spectacular views!) A short stop at the farmers market for cheese tasting and then back to Barcelona! A must see if you are in Barcelona!

Our private tour of Monserrat with our magnificent guide Joan could not have been more perfect. We are older and move slowly. Joan carefully helped us plan our day to get the most out of our experience. His passion for Monserrat made the day even more enjoyable. He loves the area, and it showed brightly in the joyful and expert way he shared Monserrat and his knowledge with us. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. We were able to enjoy the beauty, visit the Black Madonna, attend Mass, hear the Boys' Choir, and learn so much of the history and magic of this place. Thanks, Joan!!
Be on time for the pick up at your hotel. If you are not mobile, choose another tour because you walk up a lot of steps.It take an hour to get to Montserratt and you don't get much time there.
Javi was a wonderful tour guide very knowledgeable of monastery’s history & lots of fun. Would do again in a heartbeat & spend more time hiking area & beautiful sights.
This was the best way for us to see Montserrat! Our guide, Javi, was attentive and full of useful information. The convenience of the pickup and transit, information provided, and structure of the trip were all greatly worthwhile.

The trip itself took about 1 hour and it was nice to see the surrounding landscape outside Barcellona. Our guide was very informative, but he also gave us time to explore the area on our own.
The tour was wonderful and Anetoli was an excellent tour guide. He did not rush us but kept us on time. We learned so much about the Monastery and the importance and beauty of the area. My husband and I also appreciated the pick up at the hotel and the small group size. You will not be disappointed if you take this tour! Thank you, Anetoli!!
This visit is too short. 3 hours were used in the pick up and drop off of various hotel guest. The actual visit at The Monestary lasted for 1.5 hours. It was too short. It would have been nice to have at least another hour to 90 minutes. The tour guide was nice and informative but felt very rushed.

Monserrat was beautiful but not enough time to do anything. Rode roundrtrip on the train - up for 10 minutes max and then it was time to go.

Alex is a wonderful guide very patient and knowledgeable. The location with breathtaking and made me want to go back and stay at a hotel at the top.
Eduardo was great! He is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful spirit and sense of humor. You could tell even the people working at Montserrat knew him and genuinely liked him very much. He picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel too. I highly recommend this tour with Eduardo.

The tour was worth it I liked the hotel pick up and that was just us and another couple.
Alex the guide was knowledgeable and professional and extensively answered all my questions from Culture , History, Geopolitics and even Geology .
The tour has a good balance of being accompany by the guide and having free time to explore by yourself at own pace with the appropriate directions.

We enjoyed our tour of Montserrat. Alex was our tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel in Barcelona and drove us by large van to Montserrat. We took the cable car up the mountain and purchased the tickets when we got there (15 euro each). Once on top, we visited the basilica and then had free time. There was an option to take the funicular to the top of the mountain. There was also time to walk the mountain trail to a look out point ( 25 min walk there and 20 min back). There are also gift shops and a cafe, the gelato was very good. Montserrat is beautiful and Álex was a great guide. He answered all questions and was very knowledgeable and interesting. He drove us back to the hotel after the tour.
Go in the museum rather than the cog train.
Also we should have on the extended tour to see & touch the black Madonna.
Our Guide was pleasant and gave some insights that I had not heard before. They also gave us time to explore on our own for a bit which was nice. The ride up the mountain in the van was rough for a few of us but once we got out and walked it off, we were all fine
My husband and I took the tour with Alex and it was a very enjoyable excursion. He picked us up from our hotel at the designated time and drove expertly to Montserrat. Alex provided much information regarding the history and answered everyone's questions. He gave a brief description of our options during our free time which helped make our decision. I wish the tour had been longer, we really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this tour.
