Maddie was the tour guide for this tour. She was a great source of local information. She took us to some really beautiful sites and had a lot of patience with my slow walking and many questions. The beach, waterfall and Mt Eden were spectacularly beautiful and I really appreciate being able to see them on my one day in Auckland. The wine tasting venue was lovely and the lunch was just perfect. I very much enjoyed the day with Maddie and the small group we had.

Very worthwhile. Guide/Driver Harriet was very friendly and informative. Some uphill walking but nothing that demanding. Great opportunity to go outside the city and explore nature.

The tour provided a great experience with a small group tour. we were able to walk through the Mount Eden volcano site led by our tour guide who provided interesting fact about the volcano. We enjoyed a walk to the Piha Beach of black sand and explored the short hike to majestic Karekare falls. Beautiful! Our tour ended with a tasty lunch at Soljans Estate Winery where we had an opportunity to taste wine and do a bit of shopping. We found the wine tasting to be less informative or enjoyable than others we had experienced as people were crowded at the bar getting their wine, making it difficult to hear what wine was being served and it's information.

This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Maddie was very knowledgeable. Was picked up on time however we were the only couple on the tour. Which to us was well worth it.
Felt like a personal tour felt kind of lucky. Didn’t need to wait around for anyone.
She took pictures of us which turned out really nice. Mt Eden the scenic view was beautiful along with Piha Beach. Although we didn’t get to see the water fall because it was closed off she took us to another trail which was really nice.
The wine tasting was also good we had lunch there. The food I must say was amazing.
Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting.

We toured Karekare Falls with Harriet. She was knowledgeable, most gracious and accommodating. We came across a road closure and she immediately detoured and got us there anyway. Beautiful site to see!!!

Our guide Jerome was very knowledgeable and relatable. He pointed out important landmarks and added flavor to the tour with things only a local would know. The tour let us see some of the natural beauty of the land and allowed us to enjoy wines from a local producer.

We had a wonderful sightseeing tour in Auckland today. Much of that was thanks to our fantastic guide, Harriet. She was very knowledgeable about the city, and the surrounding areas, and she shared insights, factoids, and stories throughout the trip that made every stop meaningful. Harriet was also an excellent driver, so the entire journey felt relaxed and enjoyable.
Another highlight of the tour was the great company. The other four passengers in our group were friendly and genuinely fun to travel with, which made the experience even more memorable.
If you are visiting the city and want to see a lot while learning about its culture, geography, and history, I highly recommend this tour. A big thank you to Harriet for making it such a fantastic experience!

Thank you Maddie for a wonderful day! The views from Mt Eden were amazing, Piha Beach was gorgeous, the Karekare waterfall and the forest leading to it felt magical and the wines at the winetasting were good! Maddie had alot of facts and was a relaxed and fun tour guide. She kindly offered to take everyone's picture in certain spots, thanks for that! We highly recommend this tour. The group size is just the right size to have personalized attention throughout the day. The length of the tour is perfect allowing you to see a few highlights of Auckland outside of the city center. The day is well planned to experience highlights of the area while avoiding crowds. At first, I thought "we can look around Auckland on our own". Boy, we would have missed allot had we not done this tour.
Our guide was extremely well versed and provided a plethora of information about the various areas that we visited as well as the geological history of the area.
While visiting the highest volcano in the Auckland area, we saw amazing 360 panoramic views of this northern end of New Zealand. From there, we went to the black sand beach at Piha. The beautiful black sand has a high iron content and our guide had a magnet that we used to pick up sand.
Arriving at low tide allowed us to explore the various rock formations. There were people swimming in tidal pools and wading in the surf of the Tasman Sea.
We proceeded to temperate rain forests, stunning waterfalls, and a lunch and wine tasting at one of the oldest family-owned wineries in New Zealand.

Where comfortable shoes as there is a far amount of walking to see waterfall and experience the beach. Our guide Maddie was wonderful and took us to areas we wouldn’t have seen if not for this tour.
