Denis was a fabulous guide and the food tour exposed us to foods we would not normally try on our own. He also took us to places we might not have found and even one place we had walked into earlier and walked out because we couldn’t tell what the food was. However, it turned out to be one of our best stops. In addition, to all the great food, Denis was a wealth of knowledge of Venice and was very helpful when it came to other questions regarding the area . Would highly recommend this tour.

This was a really great food tour and our guide Tony (?) did an excellent job! We were with a great group of travelers as well, it was fun to interact with them. This gave us a really good way to understand the food culture and practices and plan the rest of our stay in Venice as the ar as eating goes We loved it!
Decent food tour around Venice. Plenty of walking to different areas of Venice with a good intro to each. Our guide was informative and friendly. The food choices were decent for the most part. you go to 5 locations with a small amount of food like 1-2 samplers at each location. We did buy extra food ourselves at a couple locations. I don’t think the food is worth the cost of the tour. The market they bring you to is also closed during the tour so you aren’t looking at much. No drinks including water included either. You stand majority of the tour. Overall, okay food tour that brings you around and gives you a decent overview of the different Venetian street food or small bites. I would be hesitant to recommend it to a friend.
Chantal led us at a good pace to some unique places. Along the way we learned some Venetian food history and culture. She was also attentive to one person who had certain allergies.

Enjoyed the afternoon Chichetti treats with Anna as our guide. Great way to explore the side streets of Venice & taste/learn about authentic Venetian food. Returned the next day to one of the establishments to enjoy lunch with house red wine for 11 Euros!
Our guide was very knowledgeable, not only about Venice but also the food, culture etc. She was very entertaining throughout and gave us a real treat
Venessa was very nice, easy to be with and was well organised. The tour was more than a food experience, sharing a lot of history about the city. The food was excellent and very filling. The tour was very worthwhile and a highlight of our visit to Venice
Great selection of stops to try food, excellent host she was amazing, well worth the time. The fish market visit was an added bonus.
Lots of walking - most food stops had no seating. The variety of options was good. We scheduled in the late afternoon.
This was an excellent way to see where the locals eat and sample chicchetti (little snacks served at Venetian bars). We had a smaller than usual group according to our guide, Denys who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the areas/bars we visited. He struck up an easy rapport with the members of our group and was accommodating to dietary requests.
He was also very accommodating to those with mobility issues by moving more slowly and waiting at various points to explain things. Please note there were a number of bridges that were part of this tour which is unfortunately part of getting around Venice in general.
If I could, I would have given it 6 stars. Chantal not only described the delicious traditional Venetian food we were about to indulge in, she also sprinkled in information about local culture and architecture. An absolutely delightful tour!!
My husband and I had a wonderful food tour with Tone today. Booking a food tour was an excellent choice because we only had one full day in the city. We really enjoyed all the food and wine.
The street food tour took us to places off the tourist routes and allowed us to experience local food establishments

Vanessa is an excellent food tour guide. She loves Venice and speaks about its history, people and food with great passion. The places we visited had cecchetis that were well prepared and tasted delicious! The drinks and beverages well complemented.
Vanessa was amazing!! Highly recommend taking this tour to start your trip in Venice - she has tons of recommendations and teaches you about the city as you go
Absolutely fabulous experience. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! We had an opportunity to taste a variety of food.
Vanessa was a fabulous guide, ensuring everyone was included and tailoring it to suit us. We ate a wide range of snacks and for a morning tour you don’t need much breakfast first. The tour took in busy tourist spots and quieter areas.
Don’t eat before you go and bring a water bottle to fill along the way. Michaela was amazing. We tried sweet, salty, meats, and dessert. Enjoyed learning about the food and wine in and around Venice.
This was such a wonderful experience! I tried foods I would not have encountered otherwise, and it was really cool to learn about the history of the city through its food culture. Denys was a wonderful guide who responded to questions thoughtfully.
Ana was fantastic! She ensured that my dishes were gluten free. She also gave us a lot of information about Venice we wouldn’t have otherwise known. We stopped at 5 places with us ending with gelato. A perfect way to blend multiple dishes and a dessert for dinner.

THE FOOD:
I really liked that at each place we had selections. So if you're not an adventurous eater or you have dietary requirements there were options. And for those who wanted to be adventurous could be. All the food was tasty and a nice variety.
FOOD INFO:
She gave great tips on how the Italians eat a meal, the differences between some of their food and other cultures as well as differences between Venetian food and other Italian food.
CITY INFO:
We did more than talk about just food, she gave great tips on the city itself and some of its history. I myself sometimes get bored with too much information, but in this case I found all the information super interesting and/or useful.
THE GUIDE & OTHER INFO:
The tour guide was literally one of my favorites ever. She really set a solid expectation at the beginning of what we can be expecting. For information was interesting and useful. She made sure ahead of the tour to note where all the restrooms would be located on our tour. She definitely pointed out places where we can refill water bottles. And she was happy to answer any questions that did not necessarily pertain to food. At the end of the tour she gave us a link to her recommendations of other places we could try. A++++++
LOGISTICS:
There are minimal amount of bridges to cross. And the largest being right at the beginning. The rest of the tour is pretty leisurely and set at a good pace (not too fast or slow). It should be noticed that most of the places are very limited on seeding and so you will be standing a large part of the time (this may be helpful to know for those with mobility issues).
WHAT TO BRING:
Do suggest bringing a water bottle so that you can refill at the local funds instead of buying water. You can't purchase drinks at each location if desired.
Dennis was an excellent tour guide. Her personalized our food choice options as best he could. Historic sites were impressive.
Tone was a great tour guide. He took us to some great places and explained the different types of food we were trying and made suggestions on what drinks (not included, purchased separately) would go well. We made 5 stops. Our family of 5 all really enjoyed the 1st stop at Alla Fonda which is a very rare occurrence for all of us to like something. And of course we all loved the last stop for gelato that is made right on location. I especially loved that Tone had a book he used to show us the history of how Venice started and the foundation system. I enjoyed this so much I thought about booking another food tour the next day, but we just didn't have enough time.
A must when you’re in Venice. It was a very entertaining tour of local places with delicious food. The pace was perfect. Chantal is very familiar with the city, its history and customs
Very interesting & informative. Got to go to places we wouldn’t have gone on our own. Getting the local view on the area. There were options if there were particular foods that weren't to your taste but it’s a food tour & for us it meant trying things you wouldn’t necessarily order.
Stopped by 4 street food places, tried 7-8 things, plus a gelato shop at the end. Very delicious! Also learned a lot about the area from our guide.
Nice variety of food to sample with several options to choose from. Our tour guide Elisabeth was fantastic, had a great attitude and sense of humor.
