Stefano is lovely. Knew exactly where to take us to get some lovely pictures away from the crowds. Gave advice when needed. We were not rushed in taking our pictures but time was not wasted either.
He advised us where to go for the best shots later in the day as well.
It was a great way to start our trip to Venice and we found the real Venice away from the tourist sights.

Stefano was an experienced photographer, and he shared his suggestions with us. He knew picturesque locations for us to take pictures of, and he provided immediate feedback, both constructive and positive. We've already incorporated his suggestions into other pictures we've been taking on our vacation. We also really appreciated his flexibility. He offered to do the tour in the morning since is was quite hot in the afternoon. He also recommended a restaurant to us and even called to get us a reservation! Just a lovely, educational time.

Our photographer/guide was wonderful! He also tailored our time to what we were interested in doing and took us to the "hidden gems" of Venice. He also shared history and interesting facts. This is a great way to get to see more than just the touristy areas.

Stefano is an excellent photo-guide! During our tour he increased our photography shooting skills, showed us great places to take pictures (away from the crowds), provided interesting information about Venice and its history, accompanied us on a gondola ride (taking pictures of us along the way) and provided a great lunch recommendation. I am leaving with excellent photos of the city. His tour is worth every penny!

Stefano is a master of his craft and he has a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge. He took us to off-the-beaten-path areas so we didn’t fight the crowds. He not only helps with composition but also the proper settings for the shot. He is full of stories and history of the area so there is never a dull moment. We loved this tour.

Stefano is an absolute gem! He showed us how to use light and frame to capture the best possible pictures. He shared his knowledge with us. He helped us angle our phones and change settings. Stefano was amazing! My original booking was for 7:00 during Carnival. However, he graciously reached out to me to see if I we like to take some photos of the masks in the predawn hour. I was elated at the offer. He met me at my Hotel near by S. Marco and we did about 45 minutes with the masks. Which he was fabulous because it was only photographers there. Whereas later in the day tourists want photos with them and it is difficult to get quality photos. Then off we went throughout the streets of Venice. Stefano is not only an amazing photographer, but a great teacher of composition, lighting and camera technique. He is very personable and tells you many stories of Venices rich history. His stories are entertaining and not dry. We had so much fun! So for one private tour you really get a 3 hour photography class, a guided tour of Venice and a wonderful portfolio of Venice! I highly recommend going as early in the morning as possible, due to crowds later in the day.

Stefano was a wonderful guide. He was able to give us a great tour of the city of Venice. He helped us learn our equipment to set up our photos in the city and to look for photos we would not otherwise have seen. He showed us an example then helped guide us using our own cameras. Stefano was a wonderful guide and I highly recommend!

Stefani is a great photographer taking us to places with less people and working on compositions with us both on an iso and iPhone. He is also great to suggest times to revisit sites for better light and opportunity for the capture.

While this is a photo tour, it is much more than taking photos. Stefano took myself and 2 friends who have no real interest in photography, per se, and we hd an incredible tour of quiet, quaint and picturesque places unlike the rest of Venice that was teaming with people. My favorite pictures of a 14 day trip! You definitely want to use a local, experienced guide and Stefano truly delivered!

We have done many private photography tours all across the world. We signed up for this photo tour for the same reason as all of the others, to improve our photography skills and to see more of the beautiful city of Venice, off the beaten path. Stephano definitely delivered in showing us less crowded and beautiful parts of town. He focused on composition which my husband and I appreciated but he offered little to no insight or help in actual photography skill, ie camera settings, etc. I was shooting with a new camera and was hoping for a professional's guidance and none was offered. An inordinate amount of time was spent getting pics and videos of gondolas while there is so much more to photograph in Venice.

Absolutely amazing. Learned so much about Venice, but also got amazing pictures and photography tips I will be able to use forever. It was raining on our originally scheduled date, so he asked if we wanted to reschedule for the next day, which we did. He spent extra time with us and even took us into an amazing 1000 year old woodshop where one of his friends makes parts for gondolas. The guide was a professional photo journalist and true artist. We highly recommend this tour!

Stefano led us on the most wonderful 3-hour photo walking tour of Venice. We, including our teenage and tween sons and (toddler) daughter, as well as grandma, found his tips and stories so helpful and informative. He helped make Venice come alive for us. More importantly (for a family of six with an older individual AND a 2.5 year old), Stefano was very patient and engaging, modifying his tour itinerary to accomodate our much slower pace while keeping everyone engaged with framing and taking wonderful phone photos of some of the best views of Venice that only a born-and-bred Venetian (and photojournalist) like Stefano can recommend.

Stefano was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable on how to take the perfect photo. As well as shared the history of the different areas we visited. He was able to take us to areas of Venice with no tourists. I highly recommend this experience if you love photography.

I can't say enough good things about Stefano. He's an amazing photographer. He shared so much of his knowledge during the walk. Not only did he share tips on capturing and editing photos, but he also shared some amazing stories that only a local Venetian would know. The three hours went by really fast. Stefano is super kind, personable and loves his dear Venice.
The photo walk was definitely a highlight of my short time in Venice. I have beautiful photos to prove it. I'm considering a return trip and if go back I will book the photo walk again. Thanks to Stefano!

I've taken several private tours throughout Europe and this is the best one yet. What made this truly stick out is that the photography skills I learned from Stefano can easily translate to all future trips. During the three hours he taught me about photo composition and basic photoshop skills, and he is such a great teacher that my friends commented on the improved quality of my pictures from photos I took after the tour. Stefano is also Venetian, so it was a real treat to learn about local life and walk through less touristy areas with him. I also appreciated that the day before the tour he sent me a map to help me find the meeting point so we were able to start right on time.

Not only did he take your photos of you, but spent time with me and my son showing us how to take photos ourselves with the angles, shadows, symmetry and tricks on phone to optimize our photos for life! Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. Stefano's work and reputation speak for itself. Stefano is native to Venice and knew amazing places to go and photograph. He has intimate knowledge of Venice and demonstrated amazing teaching acumen and patience. He's talent to guide you on composition, color balance and various techniques were out of this world. I will be coming back to Venice and will book multiple tours with Stefano. In such a beautiful place it can be difficult to find the true gems with so much charm and incredible views around every corner. Stefano not only found the most brilliant jewels amongst the gems but knew when, how and which to photograph them to give you lifelong memories.

We were glad we chose the 7am-10am tour. Walking around Venice and taking photos at these hours is a bliss. The weather is cool and there are very few people in the streets. We were able to take beautiful and memorable photos. Stefano took us to his friend’s Gondola workshop and his friends mask and lab store and was able to take photos. We stopped and had espresso and tea for a few minutes to rest. Don’t miss this tour in Venice. I had so many amazing photos and learned a lot from Stefano. Highly recommend.
