We really enjoyed this personal tour of the glass blowing factory Otroverte ( I might have that spelled wrong) . Starting from our private water taxi pickup at our hotel , the care and pride of the organization was evident. It’s a quick experience - the boat ride was about 15 minutes and then we spent a little over a half hour in the factory getting a demonstration of how they make the glass and then a tour of their gallery. There was no pressure to buy anything although of course they would love that . Their work is high level craftsmanship and art and the prices reflect that.
All in all we enjoyed it our experience and highly recommend. Keep in mind that there is no time to explore the rest of Murano as you are in and out in a little over an hour

This was the jewel of our day! A private boat ride to the island of Murano was the beginning. Next, we were ushered in by a delightful host to the glassblowing studio. There, we were witness to some mastery on display as a team of masters dazzled and displayed with their skills in glassblowing. It was interactive and the artists were kind and even showed us the heat at which the pieces they are crafting are while they work.
The final leg of this journey, we toured the studio and marveled at the pieces on display. The first time I window shopped and wished I could get the whole lot.
Book this and get yourself a 1 of 1 experience.

A fun outing for the afternoon. We enjoyed the demonstration and then seeing the gorgeous glass pieces.

My daughter and I had a truly joyful and safe experience. Watching the glass blowing was a delight and our own boat trip to and from Murano was incredibly exciting. We’re so grateful to everyone involved.

It was really neat! You can tell these people are master craftsman. In probably about 10 minutes they created a beautiful vase with incredible precision. Their showroom is beautiful and they have glass work that you can purchase. I was definitely tempted to buy some of the nicer stuff because they ship it but we did leave with a few other smaller pieces.
I should note that I brought my four children. The teenagers didn't concern me but having a 9-year-old and a 7 year old made me nervous in the showroom but they did just fine and you can tell they're used to having families attend

Davide immediately contacted me after I booked the trip and made sure to have someone come to our hotel pick us up to meet the beautiful wooden boat that took us to the Murano factory on Murano island. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Giulia. She brought us into the factory where we were first treated to a demonstration of how the Murano glass is blown and crafted... fascinating! We were then shown 3 showrooms of amazing artwork by the various glass artists whose work is sold through the business. The entire time we were treated with so much respect and courtesy but also had lots of fun with our guide! She made us feel right at home and we had a fantastic time with her. We were also fortunate enough to meet the original artist and craftsman of this Murano factory. He was very friendly and generous with us! It was an unforgettable experience and we will treasure the memories of this day for a long time.

Was the best part of the trip. Met with owner and felt like a private tour. Saw the whole glass blowing process and some amazing works of art. Family loved it.
Elaina_C, Dec 2025
Davide was very communicative as soon as tour was booked up to arrival. Very informative of the history of the city on the way to Murano. Tour was amazing! The glass blowing staff was very warm and inviting. And the pieces beautiful! It was like watching an artist at work! Definitely recommend!
Kellie_D, Dec 2025
Julia was very knowledgeable and took her time explaining everything about glassblowing to us. Very enjoyable experience for the whole family.
Noy_D, Dec 2025
We had an amazing time in this tour! They did an impressive demonstration of glass blowing, gave us a very informative explanation of everything and the art they make is just beautiful. Unlike other shops on the island they don’t make trendy glass products, they make art and unique products! Really recommend

It was an amazing experience. David is absolutely magic. He knows everyone in town and was so accommodating. We could not ask for a better host. We had a beautiful sunny day and being December less crowds, was able to have a private tour and explored the Lagoon and first stop was in Murano and visited the glass blowing factory Oroveto and watched the master glass artist Nicola and his assistant Denis make a vase. They even let us blow into the tube. It was incredible. Julia was also absolutely wonderful as well. First class service. Our second stop was lunch in Burano at amazing local family owned restaurant called Trattoria Al Gatto Nero, very cozy, owner greeted us, the server was excellent, and the food AMAZING. After our lunch, we went over to see where they make original hand made Lace only 30 women are left trying to pass down the skill. Very warm and friendly. Then we walked through town and took the boat back to San Marco. Incredible experience that you will enjoy. Once again, David was amazing.

We went to a magnificent glass blowing demonstration on Murano and then a brief stop on Burano for shopping and lunch. Our guide Davide was fantastic and had everything masterfully coordinate.

No words…. I can not describe how amazing this experience was. We were picked up at our vila, transported to the glass blowing factory and given a five star tour and treatment. The boat ride was scenic and smooth. The boat captain was smooth and swift and the tour guide David was punctual, knowledgeable, and amazingly professional. They took pictures for us, helps us in and out of the craft, helped with purchases and educated us on everything glass. My wife asked me “how much extra did I pay these men for their amazing treatment” and my response was Nothing 🤷🏼♂️ they are just amazing. By far the best part of our whole trip hands down.

Fantastic day, exclusive boat taxi to murano and back.

Exceptional and Magnificent very personalized Blowing Glass Experience! David (boat driver) and Julia (glass host- she speaks clearly several languages; she is very knowledgeable of the glass process, is sweet, beautiful and super friendly :)
They were way beyond than any expectations! They will make you feel you are part of the family as soon you get there.
Emotional feelings are expected (if you love Italian arts) when you see how a piece of art in glass is being created in front of your eyes… the “Maestros” of the glass were exceptionally friendly and they will let you blow glass…a lot of fun!!! Prosecco wine was served at the right moment to make this experience even better. Shopping in the gallery was amazing with a great customer service. We 100/100 recommend to go with them to Murano!
Ciaooo friends!

After booking the operator changed the pick up location to almost 3km away in walking Venice. I have a disability and walk with a cane. We replied saying we could not walk that far to new pick up location and asked to cancel and refund. We received a rude and dismissive response . No refund of $130 eu and a mouthy unprofessional response from the provider. We will be seeking a refund from PayPal
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Your hotel is in a Gondola chanel: the boat can not come there! I come personally to the hotel and there was any one! Need to walk only o.3 km!!
You've been threatening us constantly with negative reviews! My rules say I don't allow people with walking sticks, cane or deambulator, and for safety reasons, they can't board safely! Even the hotel owner complained to you.
Eleanor_B, Aug 2025
Get all the information. We were picked up at our hotel. But left at the dock when we got back. We had a mile and a half walk back to our hotel. My husband fell getting into the boat in the canal. He broke his hand. The Victor person saw it happen, but didn’t offer any support. He hopped out of the boat and just left.

You never book my tour, probably you wrong! I have no idea about some my guests have a problem like this and there is NO VICTOR in my staff/taxi driver!
Sorry take care of your self!
Tyler_B, Jul 2025
This was excellent and it was super cool to see the history of glass making and then be able to buy some glass!

DO NOT BOOK THIS AND DONT USE VIATOR. Klook is a much better and reliablecompany. The tour company is rude & unprofessional. The booking offered a pickup to get to the marina & when I asked questionsthe tour company stated I was aaking too many questions & he was going to cancel my booking. WE WENT BACK AND FORWARD FOR OVER AN HOUR. BEING IN ANOTHER COUNTRY AND ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION, THIS MADE ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND DISAPPOINTED. I REACHED OUT TO VIATOR WITH THE MESSAGES AS PROOF AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY. Shouldn't the customer receive good customer service & a great Experience? I'm telling you Don't do it. It RUINED my SON'S BIRTHDAY trip After the Experience.

Never booked with me...sorry for your kid

Unfortunately what started out as wonderful turned BAD. The communication and effort they took to get us to Murano was outstanding. The glass blowing master’s demonstration was outstanding. Then the caution begins after the demonstration a guide walks you through many showrooms in an effort to sell you masterpieces. Be prepared for sales pressure. After making our purchases we had the opportunity to walk around Murano. I contacted Davide again for a taxi back to Venice… this is where the five star review turned to one star. Apparently we didn’t spend enough money because instead of taking us back to where we were picked up they dropped us off two miles away. We had my 81 year old mother with us and we had to support her as we walked up and down stairs all the way back to port in the hot summer heat. Fortunately we didn’t stay in Murano any longer than we did or we would have very well missed our ship. The taxi drivers were very apologetic as to the drop off point telling us that they had to do what the boss told them to do. I’d have much rather they explained up front where we’d be dropped off. On Murano there was a taxi stand, had I known I would have booked our own return taxi rather than putting my mother through that. So would I recommend this… marking it as no but perhaps would with caution. Book your own return taxi, demand in advance to be dropped off where you are being picked up.

Unfortunately on 08.06.25 Venice is locked by the vogalonga! The glass factory Mocenigo send not a regular boat to pick up this 3 pax ! I finish to work with this glass factory!
I personally refound the tour and send back 170 euro for the taxi !

Start to finish this tour was a 4 hour journey into an entirely unique culture of artistic craftsmanship. If you can take the time to stop for lunch: Davide can align you with a lovely restaurant where the cuisine and atmosphere will absolutely enhance your experience. Would highly recommend.

Very educational. Amazing work. Loved watching the glass blowing and to visit the shop afterwards was amazing.

We wanted to see glass blowing and booked this last moment. The tour offered many locations to pick up but our hotel (Hilton) was not listed. I messaged the tour operator (David) who offed to pick us up at out hotel dock. Davis kept in contact with me when he was running late. On the boat ride to Murano, we cut through one of the channels of Venice, it was fantastic to get to see a part of the city this way. The glass factory David took us to an actual production factory, and we stood 6 feet from the craftsman as he made several pieces. Their skill is really an artform. After this he took us to another section where they were making glass chandelier parts and then toured their gallery and shop. The only small issue was when we were finished and brought back David dropped us on the back side of Venice which was a fairly significant walk to the other side where we needed to get a boat to get back to the Hilton. The walk did provide an opportunity to see more of this area, but it felt a bit unexpected based on where we were picked up.

David and Kristof were very professional and had a lot of interesting details to share. They picked us up at a location close to our hotel, which we appreciated. The demonstration was incredible.

Davide was a wonderful host. He picked us up on time & was very knowledgeable about Venice ( he was born there). He was upbeat and very organised. We felt like movie stars in the beautiful private boat. A must. Grazie Davide & team! The Murano glass blowing demonstration was wonderful. Very enlightening & our teenage boys were impressed. A great experience in Venice.
