Itinerary

Your morning begins with pickup from Piazzale Roma, a central-meeting point in Venice. Settle back in a comfortable, chauffeured minivan. The drive to the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano— a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site—takes about an hour and fifteen minutes. Enjoy stunning scenery of the Alps foothills along the way.

Arriving at a local winery in the heart of Prosecco country, you’ll be joined by the owner. Learn how northern Italy’s famous bubbly is produced and all about its ancient origins. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, as tours only include a maximum of six people.

Get a chance to taste four different Prosecco labels. Tastings are paired with local meats and cheeses, letting you experience the region’s famed gastronomy. Enjoy more views through the Italian countryside as you travel back to Venice.

Paolo and Emmanuel really went above and beyond to make this experience special for me and my husband. Communication was clear before, during and after the excursion. Paolo was also kind enough to provide water for our car ride and two pages full of excellent recommendations for our stay in Venice. The food we were served was as delicious as the high quality wine- we couldn't help but leave with a couple of bottles to enjoy later. We left feeling like we had gained new friends and look forward to revisiting La Casa Vecchia with Paolo in the future.

This was a wonderful experience. When we booked it, we thought we might be put on a bus and sent to some big commercial winery. Instead, this tour was the exact opposite of that. It was a truly local experience. We were met by Paolo, a retired Venetian shop owner who lives in the area and knows it very well. He drove us about an hour into the beautiful countryside where we visited a small, family-owned, organic winery. There, the winemaker drove us up into his hillside vineyards to tell us about his sustainable farming practices and how he babies his grapes. Then, we drove back to his small production facility to learn about the winemaking process, and finally to his beautiful tasting room to enjoy several of his sparking wines and cicchetti. It was a wonderful experience with local people in an amazingly beautiful place. This excursion turned out to be a highlight of our vacation in italy.

This was fabulous. Paolo was a wonderful guide, giving us background & history about Prosecco before we arrived. There was a tour of each winery before the tastings. There were 4-5 tastings, great pours, each location. Highly recommend!

Paolo our tour guide was fantastic! He was a safe driver and very informative and friendly. He explained in detail about the region and wine production and his English was very easy to understand. The vineyard was so beautiful and the Prosecco tasting was delicious. We had such a wonderful experience. The prosecco is nothing like what I’ve tasted in the US. The scenery and view from the vineyard was breathtaking- the highlight to our visit to Venice.

We became violently ill the night before this tour and were unable to go. Paolo communicates through what’s app, so I messaged him in the middle of the night to let him know we’d be cancelling. I can’t give this tour any stars since we didn’t go, but wanted to message a response.

An Excellent Wine Experience

Our tour to Prosecco Hills was exceptional with Paolo. He reached out before the tour with clear information and a picture of the meeting place. On our drive Paolo shared about his life as a Venetian and his love for Italian Prosecco. My husband was full of questions and Paolo answered them all. We learned so much. We visited Le Volpere which is owned by two brothers Luca and Matteo De Rossi. When we arrived we met our host Flavio who drove us to their nearby main hillside vineyard which is some of the steepest vineyards in Italy. We discussed their four-generation ownership, the terra, the vines through the years and their growing and harvesting process. Returning to the winery for a tour of the facilities we had the privilege to meet Matteo who was working post crush duties and he spent time with us showing us their process and answering questions. This was a highlight of the visit for us. On to the tasting room Flavio had local meats, cheeses, jam and honey and Baccala Mantecato to pair with three of their Prosecco’s and a Chardonnay. It was one of the best wine experiences we’ve enjoyed. Paolo returned us to Venice and provided us with a sheet of helpful information and recommendations for restaurants near where we were staying. We highly recommend Paolo and this tour experience.

Paola was the BEST , he was Very professional and informative! The host Anna was great and took us touring with her uncle to see the vineyard and we met the crew. After the tour of vineyards and the winery they asked us to join for lunch with the crew! Let me say there is nothing better then when an Italian mama is cooking in the kitchen! We shared a meal with all and it was quite memorable! Oh , not to mention the Prosecco was the BEST ! Thank you

Five stars aren't enough to give our guide, Paolo! Absolutely top notch trip with many "bonuses". Paolo was more than helpful and informative before, during, and after the trip! He gave me a very detailed explanation for how to reach the meeting point, shared great information on the region during our drive, and even went above and beyond to investigate the train strike we were facing for the next day en route to Florence! HIGHLY recommend! And we'll be sure to book again next time we're in Venice!

They are not responding company did not alert us to a holiday that kept us from making the tour. Their driver did not clarify the trio clearly and there was a significant language issue, A total failure and so far no refund. Terrible. I can continue to explain the difficulties

We had the most amazing time on this tour. It was a private tour and Paolo was so fantastic. He was clear with the pickup spot and offered so much information on the drive. He is very knowledgeable. The winery was also fantastic. Fourth generation owned and the Prosecco was delicious. So much so that my friend and I both shipped bottles home. It was raining (can’t control the weather!) and Paolo was so kind and was on hand at all times with an umbrella for us. The snacks were plentiful and quite yummy. Additionally Paolo took pictures of us on the tour and sent them after the fact which was great so we could focus on the tour. He also provided a very detailed list of his recommendations of spots in Venice and we ate at one of the restaurants on our last night and were not disappointed. Just an overall 10/10 experience. Thanks again Paolo!

Paolo was fantastic. He contacted us the night before the tour to confirm the meeting point. I did the tour with a friend - there was also another couple so an intimate group of four. The winery was fabulous. The host Flávio from Le Volpere was very knowledgeable and we got to taste five wines with a platter. I now know & understand why the Prosecco I have tasted in Australia has not been great - because it is not DOCG!! I will be looking for it on the labels on my return. It was pouring with rain and we did not get to explore the vineyard as would normally happen but it did not dampen the experience! Thank you Paolo for a wonderful experience.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. Paolo was communicative and professional with the pickup and transfer to the winery. He shared some background history of the area we were headed. Once we arrived we met the winery owner at the front door and the tour began. This winery was passed down through his family for hundreds of years and you could hear the passion as he described the history and process of Prosecco making. The tasting involved 4 wines with plenty of meats and cheese (some of which are made from the owners father!). Afterwards Paolo transferred us back to the drop off location and even surprised us with a bottle of our favorite Prosecco from the tasting since it was our anniversary! I can’t say enough good things about this tour!

We met Paolo our guide who was really nice, very knowledgeable about all of the areas we drove through to get to Riva Granda vineyard. There we were welcomed by Sylvia and her puppy Nina, as well as spectacular views. Sylivia explained the history of her vineyard and the lovely converted barn which has been in her family for generations.
