Our driver was great and answered our various questions. It was a beautiful ride in the mountains and seeing the countryside. For the temple, if you are wearing shorts, they’ll loan you pants for a deposit, but otherwise you might consider bringing pants.

Great day trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur

I took a one day tour to Kumbhalgarh Fort and the beautiful Jain temple at Ranakpur. The tour was exceptional. The fort is fascinating both historically and architecturally. My guide shared his great knowledge if the fort, and he went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable walking on the steep paths and walkways. The drive to the fort and temple through the mountains was beautiful as well, and my driver was careful and skilled, and he tools great pains to make sure it was a pleasant and comfortable one for me.

Just OK - Fort Only Review

NOTE: We only did the Kumbhalgarh Fort Positives: 1. One of the largest forts with a significant history. 2. Great views from the fort. --- Negatives: 1. The car provided had a foul smell and thus not a comfortable journey. 2. The travel time and the road conditions are very poor. --- Overall: For the drive time and condition the overall Kumbhalgarh Fort tour was very small (within an hour) and thus I would personally recommend the all-day Chittorgarh fort trip (assuming time is limited / one needs to chose).
