Great walking tour. Sunil our guide was a born and raised local and it showed. He knew people everywhere and knew lots about the history of udaipur. Highly recommend.

We spent a beautiful half day in Udaipur with our guide, Sunil-ji, and came away feeling that we didn’t just see the city — we understood it.
Udaipur is full of history, culture, and quiet meaning, but without someone to explain what you’re looking at, it’s easy to miss the deeper story. Sunil-ji has a calm, thoughtful way of guiding that never feels rushed or scripted. He shared history, context, and small human details that made each place feel alive rather than just another stop.
We walked the temple-lined ghats, wandered through the City Palace, and looked out over the still beauty of Lake Pichola — all at a gentle pace with time to ask questions, notice things, and simply take it in. Sunil-ji was warm, patient, and deeply knowledgeable, and his pride in Udaipur comes through in a quiet, genuine way.
We are very grateful for this experience. If you want more than just photos — if you want to feel and understand Udaipur — this is the way to do it.
Not everyone may be able to get Sunil-ji, but he works with Udaipur Guide, and we highly recommend requesting him if possible. If you are lucky enough to tour with him, you will be in very good hands.

I did a solo walking tour with Raj and he was fantastic. He not only told you the history but showed you the history through paintings and pieces throughout the places we had visited. Raj did a fantastic job with recommendations for food, the sunset, and even helped me get a ticket for the dance show before we ended our tour. Great walking tour. The guide, Mr. Bhupendra was great. Very well informed, did not hurry us through and negotiated the crowds (it is a holiday week) very well. Informative and highly enjoyable. Traffic this time of the year is more terrible than usual but all worked out. Totally worth it!

Had a very good tour. Although I didn't get the guide that I thought I was but a friend of his which I thought was a bit unfortunate - if I would have known that I'm sure I could have found a random one cheaper. But communication was good and flexible!

Our walking tour of Udaipur together with Yogendra was amazing! He took us to see one of the ghats, the Jagdish temple and city palace, as well as showing us some of the local parts of the old town. Yogendra has so much knowledge and shared so much interesting information with us and was happy to answer any questions we had about Indian history, culture and religion. Yogendra is a friendly and genuine guy with a very calming presence that matches the beautiful city. We kept the itinerary flexible and he introduced me to interesting sights that we passed along the way. We visited local schools, markets, perfect photo spots, in addition to the typical sights such as the city palace as listed in the itinerary. I felt more like a friend being introduced to his hometown rather than a tourist. It was just me (solo female traveller) and Yogendra and I felt like I was in safe hands the whole time. Communication before the tour was great too - it was all a very smooth and certain process.
