We had such a great time on our Aurora Adventure Tour with Creative Vacations! Our guide, Vidar, clearly knew all the best spots to catch the Northern Lights. Even with snowstorms coming and going, he managed to find clear skies — and we got to see the lights dancing beautifully! It was great to take a break by a cozy bonfire, and enjoy a warm meal and hot chocolate while Vidar told us a funny story about trolls. It really added to the magic of the night. He also took some wonderful photos of us and went above and beyond to help us retrieve our forgotten tripod (my husband accidentally left it in the van). The whole evening felt like a real adventure — fun, relaxed, and full of memorable moments. Highly recommend this tour and Vidar to anyone chasing the aurora!

We had high expectations for this tour due to the overwhelming positive reviews. -INEXPERIENCED -NOT WORTH THE MONEY -DID NOT RECEIVE ANY PHOTOS Our guide was unprepared and inexperienced. Had we not met up with another group, we wouldn’t have even had a camp fire since our guide forgot fire starter somehow. This was after driving 3+ hours into Finland. For some reason, this guide built a fire on top of a foot of snow, which inevitably melted through and eventually went out. The other group’s guide (same company) brought a nice set up and had a strong camp fire the entire time. We had a very different experience. It has been a few weeks and we still have yet to receive any photos that the guide took. We did another tour with a different company the next day and had a MUCH BETTER experience - even received our photos within a few days. Please save your money, the probability of getting the guide that we had is not worth booking with this company. The guide was friendly enough, but our experience was poor. What’s the point of advertising professional photography if you don’t even plan to send the photos. Waste of time and money. Most people have very limited days in Tromsø and can’t risk having an entire night down the drain like this.

Dear Kimberl, We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. The night you went on tour with us had some unfortunate events. First of all; the forecast was plain wrong. This happens sometimes. The forecast clearly said that it was going to clear skies in the area where we went. And, as you know the clouds rolled in. Secondly; there was very little Aurora activity. These two things we cannot control. The bonfire: The guide had not forgotten the matches. The matches were in the van. We always have spare matches in the vans. It was simply just closer to go to the other group to ask for matches there than to go back to the van. Yes she didn’t have the «hammock» for the bonfire but, it lasted all the time the group was sitting around eating and drinking hot chocolate. It puzzles me that you are so concerned about the bonfire. On the tour you didn’t even want to sit with the rest of the group around it. You were standing by yourself away from the both the group and the bonfire. The photos: Unfortunately we didn’t get you email address. The way you did the booking didn’t allow for us to see your email address. That was our mistake. I have sent you a message via WhatsApp asking for it but, you have chosen to not reply. You could also have sent us an email and we would gladly have sent you your photos. Please do. Your photos are waiting for you. The price: We are priced in the middle. There are some more expensive and some cheaper. A quick search on TA will confirm this. I hope that you in spite of the tour had a good stay in Tromsø and that we haven't ruined your vacation. Ouaouhhhhhhhh !!! Une expérience incroyable, que tout le monde doit faire au moins une fois dans sa vie ! Un guide extraordinaire, passionné par la nature, le ciel, ses étoiles et ses aurores. Il nous a amenés jusqu'en Finlande pour nous donner un maximum de chances de voir des aurores. Combinaisons et bottes spécial froid enfilées, nous avons posé les trépieds (fournis) sur un lac gelé, nous sommes réchauffés avec un brasero, et peu de temps après le dîner en mode survie, les aurores sont arrivées en nombre. Un spectacle incroyable : nous les avons vues se lever, s'étendre, danser au-dessus de nous, changer de couleur. Un grand MERCI pour cette aventure 😍

Malgré un temps très très pluvieux au départ de Tromso et sur de longues heures de route, nous avons pu profiter d’un spectacle incroyable avec de belles aurores boréales pendant une bonne heure grâce à notre guide Kévin. Il a su anticiper une accalmie et nous installer près d’un lac gelé avec un bon petit feu et un bon chocolat chaud en attendant l’éclaircie. Puis la magie a opéré. Merci mille fois Kévin! Un guide fort prévenant et sympathique!
