We had a baby in a stroller with us and were unable to go on the tour. Handled quite badly by Viator, they need to include infants in their drop down menu when booking and then not allow the booking. Got up early etc, a waste of time and then only 80% refund although was offered full refund by phone.

Regarding the Viator booking system, we understand that it only displays “Traveler (Age 12–99)” and does not provide an option for infants. This can be unclear, and we will also share this feedback with Viator to help improve the booking experience.
Regarding the refund, as we had already secured and prepared your booking slot in advance, our standard policy is that we are unable to offer a full refund. However, as a special exception, 80% was provided as the maximum possible compensation.

It was a privilege to witness a real training session at their home base. It was not a scripted or stage demonstration it was just a pure training exercise. I recommend it for anyone. It’s worth to wake up early!

This was definitely a highlight of our Tokyo trip. It was an absolute honour to see how these amazing men train to upkeep such a sacred tradition to the japanese culture. Our cheery guide was delightful and full of interesting information.

Hana was an amazing guide. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable of Sumo practices. Meeting place was confusing at first but we found it and everything made sense lol. Sumo Wrestlers were very nice and let us take pictures. Recommend highly

I had a great time watching the sumo wrestler’s morning practice. My tour guide - Kentake is really professional. He proactively shared lots of information about the Sumo history and wrestlers. I have gained so much knowledge from him.
Kentake speaks in fluent English so there is no issue communicating with him :) Highly recommend Kentake😀👍

Amazing experience, see up close the Sumo Wrestler's practice. Yuki explained all the background thoroughly to make sure you understand the context and philosophy. Very intense practice, we can see the focus and seriousness of the wrestlers, so not just to put up a show. Recommended to join the tour.

Great experience. It was so impressive. The sumos were very concentrated, and it was incredible to see their engagement and how hard it is.
aT the end we had the privilege to have a picture with the whole stable and the sensei.
The guide provided a lot of information about the sumo history, and culture. Very useful and interesting. I fully recommend this activity.
