- Photos are OK but only without the flash or shutter sounds
- Unauthorized use of the photographs taken is strictly prohibited. Please be aware of image and privacy rights violations.
- Videos are not allowed
- Eating and drinking is not allowed（**Please be aware that it is hot in Tokyo in summer, and there will be no air conditioning on the tour. Since it is so hot, guests are allowed to drink water and sports drinks inside the stable during the month of Summer. We also recommend that you bring something like an ice pack or cold towel to help keep you cool.**）
- Sunglasses and hats are not allowed in the stable
- Once you leave the sumo stable, you cannot re-enter.
- Please watch the practice silently and respectfully
- Please do not step down onto the ring or the sandy ground area. The ring is a sacred place for the wrestlers.
- Please do not stretch your legs toward the ring. It is considered impolite to show the soles of feet to the wrestlers.
- You cannot ask wrestlers to take a photograph with you while the practice is still going on.
- Please do your best to NOT leave the sumo stable in the middle of the practice, and try to stay and watch the practice until the very end.
- Please be very careful not to interfere with the sumo wrestlers concentration.

Great close up opportunity to watch this stable of sumo wrestlers training and also learning about sumo history and culture. Our guide was informative and knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. Photo with the sumos at the end was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend as a uniquely Japanese experience.

Web I knew absolutely nothing about sumo wrestling, but I learned a lot. These men take their sport very seriously. Our guide Take was super informative. And the athletes were very nice to take pictures with all of us. WARNING: YOU HAVE TO SIT CROSS LEGGED ON THE FLOOR. I only bring this up because I had a knee replacement six weeks ago and sitting on the floor can be difficult but Take was very helpful and gave me extra pillows to sit on and allowed me to sit near the door so I could point my feet away from the athletes (showing the souls of your feet is considered a sign of disrespect)

Went to the 10.30am practice with our two children aged 13 and 12 years old. Fantastic experience. Up close to the sumo wrestlers including three professionals. Also watched the cool down which was fun. Knowledgeable tour guide and a photo opportunity afterwards. Really recommend. Whole experience 1 hour and a quarter.

Generally very great experience. Hotels were excellent. Your personel were wonderful to deal with however every item of information related to planned details about needed information was somewhat ambiguous.

A great way to see the culture side of Japan. NOT a tourist trap at all, nothing upsold, just a true and authentic way to see the wrestlers go about their morning. You do need to be prepared to sit on a pad on the floor for about two hours sitting cross legged, so be aware of that. But a great experience and highly memorable. Toshiya was our guide and was such a great guy, friendly, and knowledgable. Would do again if I came back with someone new to Japan / Tokyo.

We absolutely loved this sumo practice experience. It was an authentic and non-touristy way to experience the sumo world. Our guide, Seiji, was kind and knowledgeable and it was great hearing him break down everything that we were watching, as well as learn more about the sumo lifestyle. We were given a mini headset so he could break things down for us while watching. Only thing I wish is that there were a way to ask him questions throughout, but he did a really great job of explaining everything. 10/10. If you’re interested in sumo, make the time to do this.

A huge highlight of our trip to Tokyo. We had great views of the sumo's in many exchanges, learnt so much about Sumo from our amazing guide, in one of the best stables in the city. This is an intimate, exciting, inside view of stable training, with informed and discrete in-ear commentary by the docent ( ours was Yumi, an educated sumo enthusiast). We were astonished to discover our visit was to the stable of former Yokuzuna Terenofuji, whom we were privileged to watch instructing his rikishi. We also were able observe several other makuuchi rikishi, and got a photo with a younger rikishi. It was an honor to observe the remarkable and intense practice. Strongly recommend, especially to anyone who appreciates sumo.

I feel like I saw something special. Watching the wrestlers practice was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This wasn't some overly-curated, perfectly planned and sanitized event. These guys were out there, working, training, and struggling to get better. And we got to watch it all. It was nice because we got to watch dozens of matches during the tour. If we had gone to an actual tournament, we probably wouldn't have seen have as many matches, with all the ceremony involved. But these guys went to war over and over and over again. And our English-speaking guide helped narrate what we were seeing through our headsets.
It was a great experience with a reputable sumo stable. When I showed our Japanese taxi driver our picture with the sumo wrestlers from after the event, he was genuinely impressed. He said that we were at a real legitimate stable...and honestly, he looked a little jealous.

This was a very good experience and the tour guide was very interesting. I would suggest that if you are planning on this tour you just choose to meet at the stable- we were supposed to meet at Ryogoku Station but no one was there. Thankfully, we decided to just walk ourselves and made it in time for the show. But, this did not detract from the experience at all.

While the experience of observing the Sumo Wrestlers was very interesting, it was very distracting to have someone talking into our headsets at the same time. This caused tremendous distraction and it was difficult to observe the wrestlers and listen simultaneously. It would have been very helpful to have had the information provided on line or with a handout to review prior to attending the practice session. The audio headsets were poor quality, with static, making it very difficult to hear the speaker. It would have been better for the speaker to only point out special moves or specific information during the practice rather than providing history and other information which we could review prior to the practice. It was a great experience to observe the practice, but we felt very disappointed in the audio portion.

Overpriced for the experience - as much as it’s a privilege to see sumos practicing in action.
A - depending on the seat you are in, can be hard to view the sumos properly
B - the commentary is great for 1hr but is not as engaging as it could be
C - you get photo time at the end for around 5mins or less and then you get rushed out
Overall the whole watching experience could be shorter - there should also be some type of Q&A
You leave the session with more questions than actual answers.
