- Please be aware that depending on the option plan, the meeting location may differ, so please check your confirmation email.
- Please use the restroom before arriving at the meeting point.
- The practice/tour may be a bit shorter or longer than expected depending on the content of the practice
- Cellphones must be on silent
- Photos are OK but only without the flash or shutter sounds
- Unauthorized use of the photographs taken is strictly prohibited. Please be aware of image and privacy rights violations.
- Videos are not allowed
- Eating and drinking is not allowed（**Please be aware that it is hot in Tokyo in summer, and there will be no air conditioning on the tour. Since it is so hot, guests are allowed to drink water and sports drinks inside the stable during the month of Summer. We also recommend that you bring something like an ice pack or cold towel to help keep you cool.**）
- Sunglasses and hats are not allowed in the stable
- Once you leave the sumo stable, you cannot re-enter.
- Please watch the practice silently and respectfully
- Please do not step down onto the ring or the sandy ground area. The ring is a sacred place for the wrestlers.
- Please do not stretch your legs toward the ring. It is considered impolite to show the soles of feet to the wrestlers.
- You cannot ask wrestlers to take a photograph with you while the practice is still going on.
- Please do your best to NOT leave the sumo stable in the middle of the practice, and try to stay and watch the practice until the very end.
- Please be very careful not to interfere with the sumo wrestlers concentration.

Amazing experience! This felt authentic, the tour guides were efficient, friendly and the commentary was useful and interesting. If you are not able to see a match, this must be the second best thing. Highly recommend!

Our family really enjoyed this sumo experience. You are right up close to the sumo ring as they practice. It was so interesting to see how they train and interact with their teachers. Afterwards there was a short photo op with a couple of the sumos. This was definitely worth the time and money!

I went to the morning practice. It was actually pretty cool. But for 18000 yen it was a stretch. It was advertised as 90 min, but was more like 45min w quick photo at the end. Guide shared some interesting facts via wireless headset system. Most facts were easily accessible anywhere to those who are curious, but there were a few unique facts about individual wrestlers that came directly from the guide which I really appreciated.
Also, silly me, put a food in the dojo for photo. Sumo said No and I quickly realised. I should have known, but guide should have been absolutely clear on that protocol before photos.
Glad I went, but expensive for what it was.

Didn’t know what to expect! Group was well administered with headsets to describe various aspects/activities. The physical training and practice bouts were amazing to see. One hour was just right. Photo with wrestlers at the end was a bonus.

This was an unexpected highlight of our trip. My husband wanted to do this, and I went along for the ride. But it was really incredible to watch these young men train so hard and really put in the work to make their dreams come true. The tour guide was awesome, keeping us informed through an earpiece what we were watching and who was in the match. It was a five star experience for sure.

This was such a fun experience. Our tour guide who talked with us through the headphones was so enthusiastic and passionate about sumo - it was contagious. We learned so much. I think the experience is a little pricey for what it is, but I would definitely suggest it to others. NOTE: No bathroom available, so be prepared for that.

We enjoyed being able to see the wrestlers go through their typical morning practice. Our guide provided us with some background information during the practice which gave us more context. This tour had chairs to sit in on 3-4 levels which was more comfortable than sitting on the floor and helped a short person like me see better.

We weren't here for a grand sumo tournament and didn't know there were regional exhibitions. It was amazing. Got a picture with a komusubi. The tour guides were very lovely. we had Yumi and she was great.

Web I knew absolutely nothing about sumo wrestling, but I learned a lot. These men take their sport very seriously. Our guide Take was super informative. And the athletes were very nice to take pictures with all of us. WARNING: YOU HAVE TO SIT CROSS LEGGED ON THE FLOOR. I only bring this up because I had a knee replacement six weeks ago and sitting on the floor can be difficult but Take was very helpful and gave me extra pillows to sit on and allowed me to sit near the door so I could point my feet away from the athletes (showing the souls of your feet is considered a sign of disrespect)

Went to the 10.30am practice with our two children aged 13 and 12 years old. Fantastic experience. Up close to the sumo wrestlers including three professionals. Also watched the cool down which was fun. Knowledgeable tour guide and a photo opportunity afterwards. Really recommend. Whole experience 1 hour and a quarter.

A great way to see the culture side of Japan. NOT a tourist trap at all, nothing upsold, just a true and authentic way to see the wrestlers go about their morning. You do need to be prepared to sit on a pad on the floor for about two hours sitting cross legged, so be aware of that. But a great experience and highly memorable. Toshiya was our guide and was such a great guy, friendly, and knowledgable. Would do again if I came back with someone new to Japan / Tokyo.

We absolutely loved this sumo practice experience. It was an authentic and non-touristy way to experience the sumo world. Our guide, Seiji, was kind and knowledgeable and it was great hearing him break down everything that we were watching, as well as learn more about the sumo lifestyle. We were given a mini headset so he could break things down for us while watching. Only thing I wish is that there were a way to ask him questions throughout, but he did a really great job of explaining everything. 10/10. If you’re interested in sumo, make the time to do this.
