We had a very good experience here! We accidentally went to a different Nane location and were almost an hour late for our appointment. the staff messaged us and helped us go to the right place. They were so kind and patient with us! They explained all the different options we have when making a ring! Ring shape, width, metal, and design. I can't emphasize enough how patient the staff was. They taught us how to hammer and size our own rings, so much fun!!!! We had our rings polished as well, and they took only an hour and a half until they were ready. They have silver, white gold. Rose gold, yellow gold, and green gold, as well as combinations of each of the metals! We added on engraving option for a very good price too! I definitely recommend coming here!

Fun couples activity that doesn't take too long and you get a great souvenir. We've wanted matching rings, and while this isn't necessarily the most "authentically" Japanese experience ever, it's still a lot of fun and I think it's really great that we got to make each others' rings. You essentially choose your material, size and finish, then you get a ring sizer and hammer to create the exact size and texture of the rings. They do the polishing and finishing after.

Gayani is our ring guide. Her instructions were very clear and easy to follow. She was always there to guide us through every steps and even helped us took photos and videos. Overall a very pleasant experience. Great activity after walking non-stop in Japan. Our parents also tagged along, and they were even given chairs to sit. The shop also has the tax free option!

What a unique and lovely experience! The shop is so beautiful and there are so many options to make sure you get exactly what you want. It was so sweet to watch my husband make a beautiful ring for me that I will have as a momento of our amazing time in Tokyo together. Loved the engraving option and am so very happy with the process and the final product.

Overall this was a good experience, and it’s more about the memento and the memory with a partner, but:
1 - it’s less hands-on than you’d think. I guess I can understand not wanting people to have their hands in more dangerous equipment, but you’re just shaping and texturing a pre-made piece
2 - expect an upcharge. The base charge is for a ring so thin, nobody would be able to tell the texture.
Overall it was fun, but I’ve had such better luck booking through Viator that this fell a little below my expectations

It was a fun experience and we now have a lovely memento from the holiday to Japan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this activity. Just be aware that the ring that is included in the price is very thin so expect to pay more to upgrade. However, were all very happy with our choices.

The title is very misleading. You are NOT making your own ring, it is not a handmade experience. Literally the only thing you do is hammer dents into the ring after it’s already complete. The title should be Texturizing A Ring. The staff is friendly. However it is about $120 for the cheapest option and the ring is probably a $5 piece of silver. It was scratched up and turning black around the outside of the ring within the first two days of wearing it. Very cheap. Pretty unhappy with the whole thing. There are options to make your own ring or knife from SCRATCH from other providers on Viator. I did this and it was about the same price and it was a one of a kind experience. I would suggest skipping this and looking for one of those.

I had an absolute great time!
I came by myself as a birthday gift to myself and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and spoke English (no translator app needed).
They walk you through the process of selecting materials, design etc. and there’s customizing options too!
Sayuko helped explain how to form the ring and took pix for me! And Naka did my engraving! They were so great!
I definitely recommend this class if you’re ever wanting something special for yourself or loved one. A++ experience — would definitely come again!

The ring-making workshop was a truly special experience. The owners and staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the process, making the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. My partner and I left with two beautiful handmade rings—one of which was engraved—and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
It’s worth noting that after you’ve made your rings, there’s about a one-hour wait while they’re polished and any engravings are completed. However, this was actually a nice break, as the studio is in Asakusa—a beautiful area where you can explore the famous Senso-ji temple and grab a bite to eat.
When you return, the presentation of the rings is just lovely and adds to the whole experience. This was such a unique activity, and I’d definitely recommend it to couples or anyone looking for something a bit different to do in Tokyo.

Very nice experience and nice people who speak very good English throughout and explain everything patiently. You don’t effectively do forging yourself, but you can do the “pattern” yourself. Many different options can be selected, which ultimately have to be decided at your own price discretion. The 3,300 yen paid is only for the absolute basis (silver, 1mm). Fair prices and nice experience in a beautifully designed jewellery store.
