We did this sushi-making experience as a family and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The instructor was so engaging and made everything easy to follow, even for beginners. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and we loved learning the step-by-step process of making our own sushi.
What made it extra special were all the thoughtful details—they had kimonos for us to dress up in, which made it so fun and unique, and they took the cutest photos of our family and each of us individually. It turned into such a memorable experience, not just a class.
We left with full stomachs, great memories, and adorable pictures to remember it by. Highly recommend this for families or anyone looking for a fun, interactive, and unique activity!

This was one of the most favorite things we did. We made delicious sushi, got to dress up, took pictures, had water, iced coffee, sushi wine (yum) this was something I could do with my 13 year old. It is also within walking distance to Tokyo Tower.

Koko was absolutely fantastic and made us feel super welcomed! Her English is very good and her teaching method is super simple and easy to follow.
I’m super happy we booked this (last minute btw). We also were the only ones doing the sushi making at that time so it felt private for us :)
The place is designed for these classes yet also served as a functional sushi restaurant with patrons inside.

Highly recommended, we had so much fun! The chef was very hands on, going step by step. She was so nice and welcoming. Loved the costumes and props for pictures!
Ingredients were also super fresh! 🫶🏼🍣

Tomoko was so great! We had many laughs and enjoyed learning about her travels. The picture part had fun props to use. I used a cute traditional Japanese umbrella. And my husband a Samuri sword. We had a great laugh as he pretended to cut the sushi with a sword. We highly recommend this experience.

this experience was so fun and it was very relaxed and kind of exciting to learn how to make sushi. Also, you got to eat all the sushi afterwards and it was the best we had our entire trip!

Excellent experience. We had first class treatment. Learned a lot and they gave us items to dress up in kimonos and take pics with our finished products. Very good sushi too. Super fun and would highly recommend.

It was fun and surprisingly easy! And tasty! The instructor and others there were very helpful and friendly and spoke English well. It was a very clean and pleasant space as well.

The host was lovely and they try hard to make you feel welcomed! The sushi was good. I thought it was slightly overpriced but we had fun and it made for a good lunch stop. I would do it again!

Keiko gave us such a warm welcome! We immediately sat down to work by preparing our sushi. She patiently explained each step and the result was eight wonderful pieces of sushi 🍣 which we then devoured! She took lots of photos of our handy work with traditional Japanese clothing and items. Definitely recommend. - we all really enjoyed it (x2 adults & x2 teens)

Well run. Good tasting sushi. Fun experience for families and a couple. Kids aged 7-15 enjoyed the experience

It was a very simple class, which made the lessons easy to replicate. So we learned some tips and techniques on making sushi and thus feel much more comfortable trying it at home!

We enjoyed learning the process of sushi making! The instructor gave clear and helpful directions, and he stayed to chat with us about Japan and our home country while we practiced. It was very fun and tasty!

Great sushi making class! We had so much fun learning how to make sushi while wearing traditional clothing. In the end of the class the chef took pictures of us and made a video. The fish was fresh and delicious!
Atilla_A, Apr 2025
It was once in a life time experience. Our instructor was very patience with us and literally walked us through the techniques of putting them together. We had several kinds of fish and they all tasted very fresh. I will probably start getting into making them at home. Well worth it and we also met very nice people and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Thank you!

We landed in Tokyo from the US a few hours earlier and were welcomed by Keiko who was such a joy, and so patient! It truly made you appreciate the art and craft of sushi! Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Japan for the first time. Don’t miss out on viewing the Tokyo Tower at night after dinner - it’s right around the corner by foot! Thank you!!

Overall a good experience but class size was very small and the instruction was a little hard to follow due to language barrier. The sushi however was top quality and you get around 10-12 pieces which were very tasty.
Aziza_Z, Nov 2024
This was a great experience especially with kids. The instructor demonstrated every stem of sushi making, we each had our own sushi laid out for us to make. There was helpers so my son had hos own instructor while I was able to focus on my sushi making, we got to enjoy it afterwards and it was delicious. Definitely recommended for families with children. The restaurant was easy to find.

Much to learn about cooking the rice but even the assembly of each piece is an art and that is what you will learn in this class and then a nice amount of Sushi to eat when you are done.

This is a great hands-on introduction into sushi making! My instructor was Yuki; he was so encouraging and friendly and really made the experience so much fun. The facility is very is well-designed for teaching with everything individualized and at your fingertips. It was also very clean , organized, and the quality and freshness of the sushi and ingredients were excellent. Plan your visit around meal time as you will make a lot of sushi! I like to take cooking classes in my travels and this one is quite memorable and among the best. I highly recommend this hands-on experience that doubles as a delicious meal!

Super fun class! Mickie was so amazing. She's helpful and showed us step by step how to assemble each piece and explained each step thoroughly. We got to wear kimonos and hold samurai swords and take photos with a bright ring light. The sushi was fresh, the rice was nice and soft and everything was delicious. There were several option for sushi making classes but I chose this one because it was walking distance to the Tokyo Tower. We killed 2 birds with one stone. I highly recommend this sushi making class!

This was a fun experience. To begin we dressed up in kimonos. We watched a short video and then our instructor brought out the ingredients. He gave us step-by-step instructions while demonstrating and then we created our own. We got to eat everything we made, it was plenty of food. I recommend this activity.

You get to watch a 2 minute video on their small screen on how to make sushi, then you are given a bowl of rice and fish pieces to make these 12 sushi pieces - with someone standing next to you at times chatting and squishing a rice ball in their hand. The quality of their fish is not great, the rice is quite hard, the whole experience from beginning to end all done including eating within an hour. Not worth it.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
I’m truly sorry for any frustration you have experienced. Our goal is to provide exceptional service, and we realize that we have not met your expectations in this instance. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and will work to improve.

Learning the right way to roll the rice and placing the fish properly. Also, you could always ask for more rice.
