Pleasant and informative geisha experience

The room was set up for 10 people but we were the only 2 there so we had the entire 1.5 hours with the geishas to ourselves (it was the 4pm session). They didn’t speak English and we don’t speak Japanese so we relied on Google translate to converse. The 2 geishas were very sweet. They have been doing this for 15 and 30 years respectively. After some conversation and drinks they did their performance. One played the shamisen while the other danced. Afterwards they showed us how to whip open a fan and how to play a little game. We ended with photos together (we also took photos of the performance, game, etc). Directions got us to the street easily but it wasn’t clear which building to go into. We were standing on the street looking lost when one of the geishas walked up and showed us the right door. Overall, it was a pleasant and informative evening.
