We had a wonderful time experiencing the history, culture and foods of Ortiz’s and Sicily. Our guide, Sebastian, was outstanding! He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and could not have been more accommodating to make the tour pleasurable and memorable for us. The food was a generous array of local dishes and was delicious! We could not eat it all at the time but certainly enjoyed it later. My daughter and I loved the food tour and highly recommend it. If you are fortunate enough to have Sebastian as your guide, you will not be disappointed. He was simply the best!!!

Stroll around Ortigia with a charming local

Excellent tour with Vicenzo. Highly recommend! Between authentic meals, we walked through the alleys and piazzas of Ortigia. Which was also a great way to get familiar with the area. Our guide encouraged us to talk about our homes and travels, and we all left as friends.

Ericka was a very friendly guide. She made us feel comfortable and shared an extensive breadth of knowledge with us. She knew recent and ancient history, and could answer all of our questions with ease. She knew many people we encountered and had a vast knowledge of the food and wines we tasted. The food and wine tour was excellent and our tour guide Sebastian was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time meandering through the narrow streets and pathway on Ortega Island. All of the food was delicious and very plentiful as was the wine. I entirely recommend this tour to anyone who loves to learn about Sicilian food and culture.

This is a walking tour of Ortygia with three stops for food. The first is antipasto in the town market, which was excellent. The second was rather repetitive and not as good. The final stop, for sweets, was also excellent. Our guide did a good job of pointing out sights along with the food.

It was only a friend and myself, and we were so fortunate to have Sebastiano as our guide. It could have just been sampling food and wine and chatting for a couple minutes about what the food and wine were all about. But Sebastiano was a wealth of knowledge about Sicily and Syracuse, and we had a simply fabulous time learning about the history, the culture, even the origin of streets and buildings. He was not only highly knowledgeable, but also extremely personable and accessible for all our questions and thoughts. The sampling of foods were very nice as were the wines. But it truly was walking the streets and learning about the history that made it a most memorable experience. Sebastiano is to be commended, and he truly made the entire tour enjoyable, and memorable.

We had the most wonderful afternoon being shown around Ortigia by Sebi, the perfect host. As well as explaining the cuisine & culture we heard about the lifestyle and history of this exceptional island. We had 3 stops in total with a lot of food & delicious local wines. If you are coming to Syracuse, and have a few free hours, it’s a huge treat to book this tour!!

We really enjoyed our experience tasting Sicilian Street Food. The tour exposed us to different dishes and tastes that we are anxious to try at home. Pietro was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and a very nice young man.
