Our Mount Etna tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily! Augusto was an exceptional guide—warm, genuine, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for Mount Etna was contagious, and we learned so much from him throughout the day.
What really stood out was how engaging he made the experience for our 9-year-old. Augusto kept the tour exciting and interactive, making it just as memorable for our son as it was for us. He also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, answered every question thoughtfully, and ensured we were enjoying every moment.
The tour itself was perfectly paced and offered a wonderful variety of experiences. We explored several different areas of Mount Etna, each with its own unique landscape and fascinating history, giving us a real appreciation for this incredible volcano.
We left with a wealth of knowledge and unforgettable memories. We highly recommend this tour—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Augusto as your guide!
We had an amazing time with Francesco on Mt. Etna. He was very informative and you can tell he loves being on the mountain. He was very kind to answer all of my kid's questions.

We met Augusto at a really easy spot, and from there he took us on a wonderful adventure, tailoring the experience to us. Augusto's passion is infectious, and there wasn't a question we asked that he didn't know the answer. He shared his knowledge in such a wonderful way that it was easily digestible, and kept us interested the entire time. We found so much love for 'Mumma Etna' through his sharing of his experiences and the history of the Volcano, and Sicily as a whole. A highlight not only of our trip, but an absolute pleasure of a day!!! Must do!!! Augusto also has a wealth of knowledge of Sicily, and armed us with more recommendations for the rest of our trip which has served us very well!

Super informative tour - our guide, Augusto, was passionate and engaging, telling stories and history of Etna throughout the experience. Etna is beautiful and scenic, and our favorite part was exploring the lava tube (long tunnel-like cave) with our daughters (ages 4 & 7)! Views from the top are incredible (windy and cold, bring a sweatshirt, our guide informed us before the tour). It’s a long experience (our tour was 5hours), so plan accordingly with snacks/food - it was my husband’s favorite experience of our 11-day vacation (he loves both history and nature).
Augustus our guide was excellent. He made the experience the most memorable and enjoyable of our 3 weeks in Italy. I would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, Augusto was incredibly friendly and informative from the start. We were taken on a tour of every aspect of the spectacular scenery and learnt so much about the history, geology and mythology of Etna and Sicily en route. Augusto’s knowledge and passion were infectious. A great tour for all the family.
We had an amazing afternoon with our guide Augusto. He drove us and walked us through beautiful places, allowing us to soak in the beauty of each scenery while sharing with us interesting geological, zoological, botanical and historical facts on each environment as well as engaging stories from greek mythology and current day information on this amazing area of Sicily. There were many highlights, from the mesmerizing smell of ginestra, to the mapping of Sicily at il Bove, to the breathtaking sunset, with delicious biscotti regina and local licoeur. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
Sabastian was very informative about the area and Mt Etna. His knowledge, both historical and current were outstanding. His passion for Mt. Etna and it's magnitude came through when he showed pictures of previous eruptions to show comparisons of then and now so we can get a better picture of its destruction. WOW!!! great memory. great experience- especially the lava tunnel.
One of our favorite tours. The guide was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He was great with our kids! The sunset was gorgeous, and the guide brought cookies and wine to toast the sunset. It was amazing

Augusto hat unsere Tour geleitet und es war viel besser als wir es uns vorstellen konnten. Man merkt, wie sehr er für den Ätna und die Geschichte Siziliens brennt und vermittelt dieses Gefühl auch. Man lernt einiges über das Land, seine Geschichte und Bräuche und natürlich über „Mamma Ätna“. Wir haben viel gelacht und noch mehr über die wahnsinnig interessanten Fakten gestaunt.
