Look for Gate No. 1, exit through the door and the operator from "Roatan Getaway Tours" will be OUTSIDE your Roatan cruise terminal in the meeting area holding a sign with their name ROATAN GETAWAY TOURS. MEETING INSTRUCTIONS:Please exit this ship 30 minutes after ship doors open.(Both Ports) Mahogany Bay Cruise TerminalYou will meet outside your Mahogany Bay cruise terminal. Please walk past the shopping area then outside thecruise terminal towards then turn left to the concrete hill, exit the guard post and walk down the hill. your guide from"Roatan Getaway Tours" will be waiting for you. We had a wonderful day with a visit to monkeys, sloths and macaws our guide guide was fantastic. Very knowledgable of the island and then we went snorkelling on beautiful reef teaming with multiple varieties of fish and beautiful coral

The port is chaotic but they gave us accurate instructions to find them. Here is a bit of walking through the town. You can’t touch the sloths but you can get close. The moneys were so fun and cute. Definitely bring bug spray. The snorkeling was incredible. They take you on a boat to the barrier reef (2nd largest after Australia). We would definitely do it again!

Please note the description said the snorkeling is in water 4 to 5 feet deep. We brought our 6 and 7 year old and a not strong swimming adult.
What actually happens is you jump off a boat in water 15+ feet deep and you float for 45-60 minutes in open water until the boat picks you up again. Half of us couldn't do it at all. The other two it was a struggle and not at all what was advertised.
It's probably fine for experienced swimmers or people without small children but do note the description is massively misleading.
A monkey bit my daughter during the first part which soured the experience, but they are wild animals and unpredictable so that isn't really the tour provider's fault.
The driver was fine as well, pleasant guy. I don't think he wrote the description here so I don't blame him.
Again, if you know you're going into 20 feet of water for an hour, it'll be fun probably. This rating is strictly based on how inaccurate and wasteful it was for us to book this description as written. I feel like it should be corrected to more accurately reflect the experience.

Our guide Carlos is really knowledgeable. First stop was the monkey and sloths, although you cannot hug the sloths anymore, you are still able to interact with them. Second stop was the snorkeling and we saw a lot of fishes. Last stop was the beach, it was ok.

This was a very fun excursion. Our driver was so sweet and was great to talk to and learn more about the island. The monkey and sloth was such a fun experience and the snorkeling was great!!

Awesome trip. Well taken care off. AJ’s was awesome for the monkey sloth. The snorkeling was excellent, great location. Picked up right near terminal and dropped off inside. Had a great driver, Tommy, who had a couple extra suggestions for us catering to our wants. The best shore day of the 20 I’ve had on my five cruises.

Excursion exceeded expectations. Excellent communication with Viator and local tour organizer. Our guide and driver, Katie, was superb. We had Katie to ourselves (party of 6) which was great as she drove us around in a nice, personal SUV and told us a lot about Roatan. Didn’t have to drive too far from ship (-20 min ?) and snorkel trip only a couple of minutes further. Kids (9 and 12) loved the sanctuary and chance to interact with guinea pigs, sloths, parrots, macaws and capuchin monkeys. Guides at sanctuary were great - encouraging everyone to interact with all the animals. For the snorkeling we chose the shallow drift which turned out to be really good. We’re not experienced at snorkeling but it was really benign over the coral. Saw plenty of beautiful fish including a barracuda. Could have chosen to go much deeper and there was even an old shipwreck to potentially explore. Snorkel lasted -1hr as did the sanctuary. Guides on the boat were very patient and snorkeled with us showing and explaining interesting sea life on the way. Got back to our ship in plenty of time to enjoy more relaxation onboard. I much preferred this excursion to one organized by the cruise company - more personal and perhaps cheaper(?). Thoroughly recommend Viator and Roatan Getaway Tours

We weren't able to hold the sloths because of recent law changes but the monkeys and birds more than made up for it. Snorkeling was beautiful and our guide was great. Definitely recommend as a good value and relaxing fun activity.

The animal sanctuary and snorkeling were both beautiful. The staff at both locations were friendly and helpful. Our guide and driver JJ was excellent. He picked us up from the port and got us everywhere quickly and safely. We learned a great deal about the history of Roatán and mainland Honduras during our conversation between stops. We would recommend him to anyone interested in an excursion on Roatán, thanks JJ!

This experience was great! Our tour driver was very nice. The Sloth, monkey and macaw sanctuary was a great experience. Expect a few minutes walk to meet the tour operator from the port. When we went there were 5 cruise ships in Port so we had to wait at the sanctuary about 30 minutes. It was worth the wait. Then we went Snorkeling and saw lots of nice marine life.

It's great for all ages. If you can go not when they are the busiest with everyone from the cruise ships, it would be nicer, but it is definitely worth going to.

We really enjoyed this excursion. Our guide was very personable. The sloths and monkeys were really cool to see. The snorkeling was great and the guide found lots of things to show us. Starfish conc shells.

Interesting and fun interacting with the animals. And snorkeling with a Barracuda was amazing! The gentleman guiding the swim was very knowledgeable and was sure to scout the areas we went for our safety.
