Amazing samba class with Carla in Ipanema. She was super friendly, professional, and made everything easy to follow—even for beginners.
The class was fun, energetic, and very well organized. Carla creates a great atmosphere and really helps you connect with the rhythm and spirit of samba.
Highly recommended if you’re visiting Rio and want a unique local experience. I would definitely do it again!

Booked this for me and my wife as I felt I couldn't visit Rio without having a Samba lesson. I have zero rhythm and my wife, although looking forward to the class, was dreading suffering it next to me. All I can say was that it was great. We were taught a lot of different steps and I felt as though I'd really learned something. My wife also loved it. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I loved our first class so much that we made time to come back for a 2nd class a few days later. Carla is a great instructor. She adjusts to each participant's skill level and works consistently to ensure that everyone makes progress and leaves feeling good about the experience. We definitely aren't experts, but we left with the confidence to step out on the Brazilian floor!
BTW, it's also great exercise!

Gaby was a great teacher! It was our time doing samba and we had so much fun! She made sure to go around when she saw you were struggling, cheer you on and make you feel the music and the costumes!

Gabby was a great instructor. She made the steps easy to learn and gave a little extra help to those that needed more attention. I like how we got to try on a Carnival costume at the end and take pictures. An added bonus is the studio takes pictures and videos of you during class and sends it to you immediately after class ended. It’s a MUST do in Rio. I will definitely go back again! It’s a really fun class if you like to dance.

This was a great introduction to samba if you are looking for a rich cultural experience. My husband and I are novice dancers at best and Carla tailored the class to us to make us feel included and confident! It was a great full body workout. I highly recommend this experience!

The instructors are absolutely amazing, patient and talented. As soon as you book you get a video with directions so you won't get lost and then step by step guidance.

This Samba class with Carla was amazing! Our original class was scheduled for 4pm, but we were running late and they were super accommodating, offering to move us to the 6pm class with no problem at all. That alone was such a great start!
The class itself was so much fun. There were only six of us, so Carla was able to give everyone some personal attention. She has such a great vibe very warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about what she does. She even shared that she’s been participating in Carnival for over 30 years, which made the experience feel even more authentic and special.
At the end of the class they shared pictures and videos they took with no additional cost
One class definitely wasn’t enough, in my next visit i will do it again for sure!
