Overview
Sightseeing in Prague alone may mean you miss the recent history hidden in its streets. This small-group walking tour covers places important to its 20th-century past: providing a deeper understanding of today’s city than if exploring alone. See buildings and monuments associated with World War I, II, and communist rule between 1948-89, and hear stories of life here over the last century. A choice of departures gives you useful flexibility.
- Chart the 20th-century history of Prague on a walking tour
- Learn details and stories about places and people not obvious if alone
- See buildings and locations key to the World Wars, communist rule, and more
- Choice of time slots allows for a flexible schedule

Our guide was clearly not happy about his work. He arrived a little late, smoked constantly which bothered us but he never asked, walked ahead without waiting for us, was rude to people during the tour not to us directly, but it made us really uncomfortable and was constantly ranting about tourists !!! coming to Prague as a side effect of capitalism but he didnt think communism was all that great either.... He did guide us through the tour and answered our questions concerning Prague history, but all in all this was a really bad experience which I do not recommend to any travellers. I must say I am also very disappointed at Viator. Although the tour is provided by third parties, there used to be a good selection by the site, but I guess I will have to review that concept...

I received very personal attention and personal family history from the guide on this tour. He showed me all around central Prague. It was quite emotional to know that I was at the actual location of events from the Nazi and Communist era. Very informational guide if this is your interest.
could be a bit more organized, but so glad I was there. Eileen
