I had the wonderful opportunity to take a food tour with Soner. Soner’s passion for Czech culture and food is evident based on the passion with which he led the tour. Soner was a wealth of knowledge; therefore, it was not only a tour about food, but also a tour about Czech history, culture and architecture. The pace of the food tastings were perfect so you never felt too full or too hungry. Soner was also thoughtful in considering dietary restrictions so that everyone could participate in each of the food tasting. This is a great tour if you’re interested in getting a taste of Prague cuisine while enjoying the sites and history along the way. I’m glad I took this tour as it was a great introduction to Prague on my very first visit.

This tour should not be missed! Our tour guide Sony was top notch. We tasted and experienced restaurants and foods that we never would have tried if it weren’t for Sony. He gave us the history and the background to how these food items originated. It was money well spent!

This is a fantastic tour. Sonny had us eat a wide variety of Czech cuisine which was fabulous. Sonny was also knowledgeable of the local history of Prague. Our group was very as there were Australians, Jamaicans who now live in Atlanta and me from California and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Sonny shared Czech culture with our small group as he guided us through the courses. We got a glimpse into the importance of soup culture, tavern culture, and dishes Czechs eat in their homes. The food was all delicious and comforting.

I was shocked by the lack of professionalism displayed by this tour company. Before writing this review, I intentionally waited until I had completed food tours in Krakow, Budapest, and Vienna so I could determine whether my experience in Prague was typical. It was not. The Viator listing explicitly states, "Your guide is happy to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions you may have" and promises a "tour that meets your dietary restrictions." It also instructs guests to contact the company in advance regarding dietary requirements. I did exactly that when booking and again before the tour, informing the company that my friend was vegetarian. When we arrived, however, our guide, Karolina, appeared surprised and told us she had not been informed. Throughout the tour, she repeatedly apologized and made comments about how difficult vegetarianism was to accommodate in Czech cuisine, making our group feel as though we were inconveniencing her simply for having a common dietary preference.
The lack of preparation was evident from the very first stop, where there was no vegetarian soup available, leaving my friend with nothing to eat. Later, at Lokál, one of Prague's most popular Czech restaurants, my friend found a vegetarian potato dish she wanted to order. Despite us paying over $100 USD per person for the tour, we were told that option was "out of budget." Instead, she was served a disappointing dish of boiled asparagus with mayonnaise. We were also repeatedly told about an excellent bakery that would be our dessert stop, only to arrive and find it closed. As a substitute, we received stale gingerbread cookies that were not enjoyable. The listing advertises 10 Czech tastings, but we received significantly fewer than expected, and my friend's vegetarian options were consistently poor.
For nearly $200 USD total, my friend and I left hungry, disappointed, and frustrated. What bothered me most was the gap between what was advertised and what was delivered. Every other food tour we took in Central Europe, including in cities with traditionally meat-heavy cuisines, accommodated vegetarian guests without issue and often cost less. After the tour, I contacted the company requesting a partial refund due to the poor experience, but the request was immediately denied. Potential customers should be aware that this company did not honor the dietary accommodation promises prominently advertised in its listing and was unwilling to take responsibility when those promises were not met.

Our Prague Food Tour regularly accommodates vegetarian guests, and alternative options were provided throughout your experience. While Czech cuisine is traditionally meat-focused, our guides work with participating venues to ensure suitable substitutions are available where possible.
That said, we regret that you felt uncomfortable during the tour. Every guest should feel welcome, and we have addressed with our guide the importance of ensuring that accommodations are communicated in a positive and reassuring manner.
We would also like to clarify several points mentioned in your review. At the restaurant stop, vegetarian options were provided in addition to the potato dumplings and sauerkraut enjoyed by the rest of the group. When a vegetarian soup was unavailable from one of our venues that day, an alternative was offered later in the tour. Similarly, the gingerbread bakery was one of the tour's scheduled stops and was not a substitute for another dessert venue.
Our tours feature a curated selection of dishes chosen in advance to highlight authentic local specialties. As with most guided food tours, menu items are pre-selected rather than ordered individually by guests, allowing the experience to remain consistent for the entire group.
While we understand that your experience did not align with your expectations, we appreciate you sharing your perspective. Our intention is always to provide guests with an enjoyable introduction to Prague's food culture, and we are saddened to hear that this was not how you experienced the tour. We hope that, despite your disappointment, you will consider joining us again in the future so that we may have the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience.

We enjoyed this great food tour in Prague. Sonny was our guide and he was very knowledgable about food, culture and history. The food items we tried over 5 stops were excellent and we had a fun group of people on our tour. We had a 4:00 tour and there was plenty of food to eat that we didn't need dinner afterward.

Come hungry, and be ready to be introduced to several great Czech restaurants and dishes! We loved the hidden spots our guide Karolina led us to. Restaurants behind other restaurants, a cellar restaurant, etc. We were served substantial portions of a variety of foods, including some unfamiliar to us. All were delicious. Karolina explained how the foods fit into Czech culture as we ate. It was a fun group of people with many different backgrounds, and we had a chance to get to know them all a bit. Karolina also took us to some sites of interest, explaining their place in local culture. In all, a really great couple of hours. We also received a list of the places we visited in case we’d like to go back, and a list of other places we might check out.

This is a great introduction to Prague cuisine. Do this activity early in your stay in Prague so that you can find fun meals on your own. There is a LOT of food on this tour, so come hungry and pace yourself!!
