My tour to Cockburn’s was an absolute highlight of my trip to Porto. Our guide Violeta was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the history of the lodge and the port-making process and a great sense of humour. Walking through the cellars and learning about the ageing barrels was fascinating. The tasting at the end was excellent, with a great selection of ports explained. Everything was well organised from start to finish, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Porto for a truly memorable afternoon.

The tour was great - learned so much about port wine, Porto, and the Douro Valley! Our guide was amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable. The ports were amazing too, and paired well with the chocolates. Would definitely do another tasting!

Visited for a special birthday, This was very informative, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable, veola was extremely knowledgeable but passionate about her role within Cockburns, a delight, a true asset! Great guide, very informative and helpful! We did the classic tasting and each port was amazing. The cellar itself was amazing to see, including port from 1940 and vintages as old as 1861. Highly recommend!

I had such a wonderful experience at the port tasting in Porto. The session was really informative and I learned so much about the history and production of port. The wines themselves were absolutely delicious, each one with its own unique character. The staff were so warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

Our guide, Christiana was very knowledgeable and it was an interesting tour with a small group.
The tour ended with a 3 flight tasting and we ordered some tapas. We weren’t rushed and there was no heavy sell.
All the staff were friendly and super helpful, highly recommend the Cockburn’s tour.

Very nice tour. We’re not by any means Port experts, and were able to learn a lot of interesting facts. Enjoyed tasting of three different types of Port pared with chocolate. Would recommend.

The tour was very good and the guide was very informative.
It was not a problem to ask questions and he engaged with all the tour party.
Well worth the money and would recommend this over others that we have been on.
Most of all was the Port and chocolates, what a way to end the tour.
So much so that we had to order another couple of ports!

Fantastic tour! It was just the right length and we learned a lot of really interesting information! Even though Cockburn is a little off the beaten path from the other big port places, we thought it had the best port of any that we tried. You get what you pay for with the tour and the tasting. Highly recommend!

The walk up the hill was exactly as described by others, but oh so worth it! I really enjoyed the tour and never have I ever seen such a big production like on Cockburn Avenue. Also loved the chance to see the coopers at work. The tasting with chocolate was great. Thoroughly enjoyable all around!
