Great guide and enjoyable ride. Not difficult when using the E bike. Enjoyed getting out of the city and exploring the area south of Porto.
Leonel's bike tour was absolutely the highlight of my entire trip. It was such a great way to see different parts of Porto and the surrounding areas that you'd never catch on foot. Leonel clearly knows and loves his city and country, and he wove in bits of history along the way that made everything feel richer and more meaningful.
The route itself was breathtaking — we went from city, to beach, to forest, including a stop in a charming fishing village. He also gave great recommendations for where to stop for a cocktail or a bite to eat along the way, which made the whole experience feel unhurried and personal.
Energy-wise, I'd call it medium effort — totally doable on a hybrid bike if you're reasonably fit, but enough to feel like a good bit of exercise. And he arranges the train back, so there's no need to worry about the return trip.
If you want to experience Porto beyond the typical tourist spots, this tour is an absolute must. I'll be thinking about this ride for a long time. Highly, highly recommend.
Amazing experience. The 50km bike ride was our favorite tour of the 4 we did in Porto. It was good exercise and we rode through beaches, towns and a pine forest that we would have never seen. Lionel was a great guide.
Lovely 5 hours cycling with Lionel out of Porto to the coast avd then south to Ovar. Chose the e-bikes and having the “engine” helped but a pretty flat run overall - not too tiring. It is 48km - there are two planned stops and Lionel provides water and train ticket home …
Lionel was prompt and professional, and extremely knowledgeable about Portugal and biking. I would not hesitate to book with him again, and I would encourage anyone else to book the trip!
Recommend doing the ride on a weekday, on weekends the bike trails can get busy. Also, best on a Monday when the Espinho open-air market is open. Our guide, Leonel, spoke great english. The e-bikes we rented were very good. We had plenty of battery life. After the ride finished at the Ovar train station, we were given train tickets to take us back to Sao Bento station in Porto. The ride along the coast was scenic, mostly flat and easy biking.
The tour was beautiful and the guide very friendly! We cycled across the sea and through nature, an exceptional experience.
This was a really cool tour that gave us the opportunity to see a bunch of towns along the at Atlantic coast. The pace of the tour was great. It's a family owned business too! We've taken a few e-bike tours in different countries and this one was the best. If you're a biker and don't know the area, take the tour with a regular bike as it's not too challenging. If you're not a biker, go with the e-bike, relax, and enjoy the views and the guide.
This bike tour was a highlight of my Portuguese experience. As we left Porto, there was a laundry building where women were washing clothes by hand on stones and hanging them on clothesline. We entered the ocean bike path where we saw miles and miles - maybe 20? - of pristine beaches, surfers, craggy rocks, and sheer beauty. We entered sand dunes and an enormous pine forest, emerging to ride through the streets of a fishing village. The guide was careful, accommodating, and an unwavering support for our group of 8 travelers. Highly recommend.
This cycling tour was a real highlight of my stay in Porto. Leono was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. The bike paths along the Seaside were amazing and I loved our stop at the beautiful old chapel perched on the ocean front. It was a great way to see the sights beyond the city.
I went on the 30km bike tour with Lionel and one other guest. The tour was soectaculwr and informative, I learned a lot about the history of Porto and it was great to see the areas outside of the city. The terrain was relatively flat and Lionel was a great host and guide. We got the train back to Porto which was very easy. I can highly recommend this tour

We highly recommend. This was a fantastic bike ride with a local person who knows his way around the area. We left busy Porto and went south down the Atlantic coast through small fishing villages, and a natural area with an estuary and pine tree forest. Mostly flat, but the e-bikes made the ride very fun and enjoyable. Leonel knew the locals as we passed by since he is one himself! Fun to ride the train back, too. A thoroughly lovely and local experience.
Was such a wonderful experience! We lucked out and had a very small group! Leonel was awesome and friendly and knowledgable!! I thoroughly recommend this tour! Some other tours stay in town, but this tour took us to less crowded areas and along the beautiful shoreline of Porto's surrounding areas! It wasn't hilly and very accessible and separate from road traffic. This tour gave me the ability to see more of Porto on my own terms!

10 out of 5 stars! Our bike tour with Leonel was our favorite part of our time in Porto. He has so much knowledge from living there most of his life, and took us to places that we never would have enjoyed otherwise. He was very conscious of keeping a speed we were comfortable with, and giving us time to enjoy our stops along the way. We honestly can't recommend this tour and Leonel enough.

A beautiful ride by the coast, through villages and pine forests. Leonel was a fabulous guide, explaining the sights ad answering questions. Essy ride, with option for very affordable e-bike for those not used to 30 miles. It is very flat and on dedicated cycle routes for most of the journey. Best way to see the real Portugal. Great bikes too to make the cycle very comfortable.

Leonel and Marta met is in the park in Gaia overlooking Porto. They got us set up. Leonel took us on a great e-bike ride along the river, stopping to share history, landmarks and stories. It was perfect, we looked at it as a great ride with highlights along the way.
I had such a great experience on this bike tour, everything ran so smoothly, and it was amazing to explore more local areas of Portugal that were less touristy and busy. Leonel and his wife were wonderful and I’d definitely recommend it!

Not a lot of landmarks but some amazing views. Small groups for a long cycle ride along the coast which I would not been to do on foot or car. Great knowledge and personable.
Lionel is a top guide. He showed us a lot of special places which are local and not full of tourists.
He told us many informations from neighbourhood we drove to. Easy and beautiful roads, not crowded.
The group were small so he could concentrate on us and guide us safely.
We started in the city, by the beach and duins, then through the forest and mudflats.
We appreciated all the background informations from the locals.
In the end we went to a typical Portuguese local and ate delicious food in a sweet small location.
Lionel and Marta were very welcoming and informative. We stopped at some highlights along the way. We saw all types of landscape, city, ocean front, some fishing villages and even a forest. It was a lovely way to spend the day.
