We bought tickets online & there was no info on where to meet. We found that on another company’s website. We met at the bus stop and were not offered a map or headphones. We only realized this was an option after we were underway and saw others had them. Fortunately we had some with us from the airplane. The first half was less interesting as it is an hour through residential neighborhoods. The second half was beautiful as it went by the ocean. The tour narration was good once we found and plugged in our headphones.

Not worth it. We got on the bus not knowing that we needed to have a headset to know what was going on. Don’t book this. There is no live tour guide. I wish I could get a refund. Book something with a private guide.

The audio was not in sync with the paper map, stops were not identified in advance of getting to the stop, and there was no music or anything between the audio so you did not know if your headphones were working or it was just quiet. Not worth it. There was a Gray Line Hop on Hop off, and we should have chosen that one instead.

Ok value and moved us around, but not much knowledge and hard to hear

We often hit a Hop On/Off Bus when visiting a new City. The "audio" guide on the bus is minimal and the volume levels are terrible. It plays a music track between sights too loud and then the [english] guide portion is too soft. I had hope for much more history and knowledge than what was provided. The Red line is about 1 hr 45 min loop. Finding the bus locations, link to the app and general info in advance was difficult. We bought the 48 hr premium and ended up not using any of the premium features/benefits.

Don’t book if you’re on a cruise. Closest pickup location is a mile from the port and the buses don’t even start until 10:20 am. So that means the earliest you can start your tour is 10:40 am.

Time and accurate information are important

This Bus is actually 35 minute walk from cruise port, not close and then waited over an hour. Better to use Gray line hop on/ hop off as they stop at port and had literally 10 busses for every 1 from Sightseeing Hop on/off. Also, the traffic is Twice as long on return. If here just 8 hours, better to take a regular bus, Uber to the city center.

Well worth the price. We did both loops and the blue line was great because it will take you to the Gaia so you can get off and do some port wine tasting. The red line was long, and the highlights were the coast and river routes. Great way to see the city.

Good way to see the city and to get your bearings. I was a bit disappointed that the history of Portugal in terms of the slave trade was a bit white/washed and in fact I don’t think even mentioned. Thought we’d hear something as we got near the port/marina, but nothing. Buses were very clean and the staff was very helpful. Would still recommend.

It’s been years since I’ve been on a city tour bus hop on hop off. The pre- recorded tour is awful. Volume too low and didn’t tell us what we were passing that were major landmarks. I’d love to pay more to have a real person tell me what’s happening and what I’m seeing. The nice thing is we passed areas that we revisited.

The bus tour pick up pointis only on one side of the river and as we were dropped off near the cable car side it was a major task and arduous trek to start our tour. On top of that another bus had broken down so they bungled all those passengers on to our bus in a rainy day. It was awful

Viator is Poor !

Viator is poor. Paid for 3 tickets (charged 11/3/24) and never received voucher. Tried multiple ways to get voucher without success. Had to repurchase and now will dispute Visa charge. Viator customer service is impossible to reach. Very disappointed. City sightseeing bus was fine though. Nice people. Good routes. Suggest you drop affiliation with Viator if possible.

Nothing was memorable, we got off, it was terrible. The location for pick up is not visable. Better signage would be very helpful. The driver (Vitor) was rude and condiscending when we arrived with our e-tickets (lack of English). The recording was not matching the buildings, the driver was on the phone, on speaker phone so it was hard to hear anything. The ride was a waste of time and money.

Due to Porto being very steep and main parts pedestrianised you miss a lot on this tour , a lot of building sites ,derelict properties and this does not give a great impression of this lovely city. To be honest my opinion changed when we decided to get off and walk through these areas. A warm welcome by all and fond memories created . I appreciate not everyone is able to do this and it was challenging , it's just my opinion on the tour bus . I always do a bus tour to give us a feel of where we are .... didn't quite land this time .

Whatever commentary there was, it didn't synch with what was out on the street. A little synchrony please! We saw very little and learned even less. We should have taken a walk.

No bus. No refund

Bus never showed up where we told the stop was. Waited almost 2 hours got no help when calling. No maps shown on Viator site. Finally took a city bus., then was told we couldn’t get a refund.
