Goncalo took me and my family on one of the most memorable tours I’ve ever been on. He showed us some of the greatest views and look out points thats Azores had to offer. He also taught us so much about the history of the island and what it had to offer. He was even able to answer every single one of our questions. He is very personable and made conversation easy for us. The jeep tour was very nice overall I would recommend Goncalo to anyone wanting to have a good time and see amazing views.

What an incredible experience! This was one of the best tours we have ever booked. We got to experience Sao Pedro from a locals perspective, travel some backwoods that the regular tour companies can't access, and even stopped for a delicious coffee and snack along the way. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone - even our kids loved learning about the Açores! Thank you!

Great half day trip. Easy pick up from cruise ship. Enjoyed the roads a bus couldn’t go. Amazing landscape. Delfin was a wonderful driver and extremely knowledgeable about the history and surroundings for not being a native.

I booked this experience because I had a 36 hours layover in Sao Miguel and it really exceeded my expectations. Gonçalo was a very good guide: very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions and offered nice recommendations. The views were also very nice. It made me wish I had more time to visit Sao Miguel. I recommend!

Unfortunately, it was a very foggy day when we had gone, but it thankfully started to clear up. The kids really enjoyed the 4 x 4 and taking the off-road routes. Our guide and drivers - Gonçalo and his partner were very informative. We had two vehicles, for two families of four. The vehicle was spacious and we felt safe as they navigated us through the twists, turns and hills.
They picked us up right at our hotel and dropped us off at a relatives house afterwards without any issue.
The scenery is beautiful and unique, definitely a highlight of the island. We enjoyed our stop at the green Love Café. Try the cocount/chocolate/St George cheese dessert. One of a kind!

Goncalo was a wonderful guide/driver and a pleasure to spend the morning with. He picked us up promptly at the cruise ship and answered talked about the island and what we would see on the tour. He patiently answered all of my questions. He was extremely knowledgeable as he was born on the island. I would highly recommend a tour with T4W and Goncalo as your guide.

First and foremost, Delfim was awesome❣We have never encountered a Guide so thorough, passionate and "GENUINE" whilst conducting his tour. He is a plethora of information from start to finish. Believe me when we say "you not only have a delightful tour, you are TRULY enlightened of how this beautiful country came to be and how it continues to embrace the natural order of both the land and culture of this country.

What a fantastic tour this is and a truly great way to experience a part of the beautiful island of Sao Miguel. The scenery and sites that we visited along the way were spectacular, and traveling in this kind of vehicle with experienced guides allows you to experience the island in a different way than you'd otherwise be able to do by simply traveling the main routes. Best of all, we were fortunate to have two fantastic guides - Gonsalvo and Miguel - with us the day of our journey. They both went above and beyond, and were incredibly kind, hospitable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout, providing us with some great insights about the culture, history, and geography of the Azores. Highly recommend this! The hiking path shares the road with the off-roading vehicles so you would avoid hiking up. Also, there is not a single path of shade. The road is not meant for regular vehicles. The guide was on time, professional, and friendly.

We had an amazing experience on our trip to Sete Cidades. Gonsalvo ( hope I am spelling his name correctly) was on time, very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Sete Cidades is a beautiful area and Gonsalvo is a fantastic driver in the off road sections especially. Thank you for the wonderful experience !

Tour guide was very nice and spoke good English. Guide lived his whole life on the Island and loved the local culture and envrironment. Views were good (weather cooperated) outside of very strong winds at high elevations which made it colder. Very rustic roads in spring of year however the guide was very experienced driver in such conditions (recent rains created ruts in the back roads) however vehicle was made for the conditions.

For me, the views were slightly above average, that opinion may be dependent on overall traveller experience, the more places you've see in the world the harder it is to continue being impressed. I think a month later (in May) would result in more floral activity resulting in more impressive views, etc.

The rain was continuous during our morning tour and the mountains were foggy. We only saw the lakes from the lookout points on our way back. Sete Cidades town is small and the only place to visit is a small church. We roughed it up around a portion of Lagoa Azul with the Hyundai 4X4 driving along the shoreline which was muddy and fun. Back in Ponta Delgada, we visited a pineapple plantation which was okay. Compared to other places we've been to prior, this wasn't much, but it was a chance to travel around the island. Our guide was Luisa and she was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We were lucky with her.

I would do a jeep tour again to the volcano as it is worth seeing, but not with this company. They sent a car for 4 but there were 6 passengers so it was far too cramped for a 4 hour trip. Luckily we all shared the cramped back seats. When we queried this, the tour operator was not honest and said the car was licenced for 8 people. We have photos to show that this would be impossible. The jeep does not have 8 seats! They may well have jeeps for 8 but even our tour guide on the day said this was for 4 only.

The Jeep tour guided by our host Miguel was the highlight of our trip. His knowledge of Sao Miguel and its geological history made the experience not only fun but educational. The scenery is breathtaking and provides a deep respect for a culture that takes care of its natural resources. We enjoyed Miguel’s company so much we requested he guide our next excursion to Furnas two days later.

Really fun and unique experience, our guide Phillip. Made the tour so much more interesting, sharing history and knowledge of the island, fauna, and buildings. He really took us to roads and areas of the beaten path that are not accessible to regular vehicles and showed us some amazing views. Highly reccomend.

Our guide picked us up from our hotel and we were the only two on the afternoon tour that day. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon with clear visibility so we got to see everything, including many off the beaten path views with minimal to no other tourists. We saw all seven lakes, most up close, the ancient aqueducts, and the main city in the crater. Our guide had a nice balance of providing interesting commentary at key times while not being overly talkative.

This was the best tour we took! Delfim was the perfect guide for Sete Cidades. He has a keen interest in the volcanic activity that created the islands and loves to share the knowledge. Being in the jeep instead of a bus meant not only did we get to go on roads along the rim of the entire crater, we got to go off-road down in the crater, as well. If Delfim asks if you want to see the jeep be a boat, say YES!

My wife and I did an 1/2 day tour of Sete Cidades and the next day did a full day tour of the entire Island with Delfim
of T4W Jeep Tours. He is absolutely the best guide ! He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate
about San Miguel. We saw places that are inaccessible without a 4 wheel drive vehicle .
He has a great sense of humor and helped make great memories on this most beautiful island.
