This was a great way to see the island. Even with clouds and fog made it a lot of fun. Mostly road driving but some dirt roads and driving around the lake was really cool. Dress warm!

Great time being out in the open air and seeing many areas in the Western half of Sao Miguel, Azores in the Dune Buggies!!! Great guide and the rest of the people in our group were great! The only thing I would recommend to add to the trip is to provide goggles for everyone as especially with wet roads you get a lot of road debris thrown back at your face. Sunglasses are not quite enough protection by themselves!

Great way to see the western part of Sao Miguel. Bring a jacket and warm pants, as it can be chilly in the mornings. Excellent stops. The tour really felt like unique. The off-roading was the best part! Check before you go to see which trails are open and part of the tour.

We had a good experience. The tour itself was great. We had a Razer and were part of a convoy of 3 Razers and 3 or 4 quads, led by our guide, in a jeep. This is a beautiful way to see Ponta Delgada, the dormant volcanos, the caldera, the lakes formed by rain. Great adventure ✅ I would recommend it. Worth the money. Contact the company ahead of time and they will pick you up at the ship. Dress warmly - when the temp is 65 and you are at speeds of 30-40 mph and it begins to rain, you will be glad you have a waterproof jacket and fleece.

It was a great experience, with beautiful views. It was unfortunately, very cold. We were not prepared for the heavy wind/cold. In addition, take sunglasses or any form of eyewear and mouth covering for protection from the dust and debris. Be aware your hat can fly away. Wish I knew these things before going.

Well, we booked the Buggy tour on Viator for 8/19, realized we made a mistake on the date, so I canceled 8/19 and rebooked it for 8/20. Received new confirmation number and everything. I thought everything was all set. Fast forward to 8/20, my family and I went to the Tour Company address at the designated time and date (8/20), just to be told that our reservation didn’t show up on the company’s system. However, they had no problem processing our payment 3 days prior for USD$265, what a coincidence! We were ultimately told that “we are out of luck.” We were only at Ponta Delgada for a limited amount of time so wasn’t able to reschedule to 2 days later. They processed a refund, but imagine our disappointment because of some error happening on the backend, not our fault at all! We ended up renting a car ourselves and went by ourselves to see Sete Cidades. What a disappointment!!

We had the best time. Our guide was very knowledgable, friendly and cuorteous! He made it an amazing trip. We loved driving the buggy and loved the breath-taking landscape and the place we were taken. Sete Cidades can get a bit crowded with tourists. Doing the tour wad perfect to avoid the mass tourism. The photo stops were great. Spectacular views! Rubin was awesome!! We loved riding in the dune buggy and felt safe and comfortable at all times. Great atmosphere. The rest stop for coffee and snacks we great. We felt half a day was a perfect amount of time.

The roads were fun to drive on and had some fun challenges but nothing treacherous!! We stopped a couple places extra on the way up due to high cloud presence however when we got to the top the clouds cleared for about 5 minutes for a fantastic view of the blue and green lake and sete ciadades! Our tour guide was great, made it fun, educational and safe! Highly recommended!

An extraordinary experience!! We were with a 4-year-old boy who had a good time pipe! The scenery and roads have been very good. Our guide Luis was super friendly and patient despite being 45 minutes late due to a mix-up at the meeting point 😅.
