Loved the adventure! Nuno and Mark, an intern from Spain were awesome!
This is not your dad’s tour. The trails were about a 4-5 on a scale of 10. Great downhills and turns. It rained HARD, but it was great! Fun, fun, fun! If you’re lucky you will have rain too. I could have canceled for a full refund but no way. Too much fun. Beautiful scenery. The azaleas were in bloom. The cypress trees are gorgeous. The little town and the lakes are awesome. Definitely recommended for mountain bike riders and riders of all levels.

Great way to explore off the beaten path- my teens really enjoyed it. Would recommend- there is slight physical endurance required to go up some steep hills. Our guide was amazing and relates well w my kids.

Warren was an excellent guide. He showed up on time. Had great insights about the area. Took just enough time at the amazing views. The bikes were great. He also took time to explain how everything worked and made sure we were safe at all times. The tour was one of a kind.

The tour around the lakes and town was amazing and easy to navigate. The guides were friendly and helpful. Because of weather conditions, we did not start at the top, as is typical. It should be more clearly noted that on a typical tour, you will be descending very steep and winding narrow roads with two way traffic. May not be ideal for less confident riders.

On our e-bike around Sete Cidades the weather started off cold and wet. Warren , our guide asked us several times if we still wanted to go and told us we could get a refund if we wanted to stop. We all wanted to continue. Even in the cold and blustery winds we had the best time. Warren was informative and made sure we all were good the whole time. The scenery was fabulous and the information was great. I would do this again any chance given. Don't let a little wind deter you as the weather got sunny and a tad warmer down by the lake. Cannot recommend this tour enough.

The Spanish bikes were excellent for this down and up trip around and in the crater. The guide Tomas was fantastic sharing his knowledge of the area. I highly recommend this tour. It was a quick and efficient way of seeing many points of view around Sete Cidades.

Terrific morning with Nuno! We all had a great time. We were supplied with wonderful e-bikes and helmets. And Nuno made sure they were adjusted to fit each of us and that we were comfortable with our bikes before heading off. Having been on a tour of the area 7 years ago we were familiar with what we were seeing. But we rode at a leisurely pace and stopped for beautiful photo ops along the way.
The meeting place was easy to find and Nuno even called a taxi to meet us at the original meeting spot for our return to Ponta Delgada. As a cruise ship excursion, we had plenty of time afterward to walk around and eat lunch in Ponta Delgada before our all aboard time.

Very inclusive — we were part of a group of people with a range of fitness levels, but our guide made sure that we could all participate safely and that no one was left behind. We experienced wonderful views and learned about the history of the area—a great activity! (Tip on finding the meeting spot—your GPS may tell you it’s the 3rd exit in the roundabout—but for us, it was the 4th exit. If you take the wrong exit and wind up at the hotel ruins, you took the turn before the correct one.)

Guide Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and patient with us, even though my wife found it very tricky and we needed to go very slowly at first. The bikes used were great, speaking as someone who doesn’t have much experience of e-MTBs. Any hill is no problem but they still make you work for it, so it feels real. The views around the rim of the Sete Cidades are amazing and this is a great way to experience them.

There is no reserved parking area, you share it with the other hundreds-thousands of people around that day so its up to luck if you get parking. We couldnt make our original time due to cows crossing a road and staying there so we had to backtrack down the mountain and couldnt make our destination on time.
Youre also on the main highway/ roads with tons of cars for 1/3 the trip which should be advertised.

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire time! Even with the gentle showers at the start of our tour, our guide gave us the choice to delay or go ahead. Our group chose to embrace what nature had to offer, and almost immediately we were greeted with a lovely rainbow. Rodrigo allowed us the perfect amount of time to take photos, stop for cafe treats in town, all while sharing culturally significant information with us along the way. Experienced cyclist but 71 with a fear of heights - absolutely terrific. Bike was great, Z(?) and Mark were attentive and fun. Big group but felt very safe. Scenery was amazing. Highly, highly recommend this trip.

This is quite a fast paced tour, you really need to keep up, with no real time to take lots of pictures, which is tricky when there are such stunning views and you never know when you'll get those clear skies. Although one tour guide was really helpful, patient and kind, the other one was super pissed at the slowness and photo taking, which made it uncomfortable for me at the end, I'd also recommend having some experience of riding e bikes before taking this tour (I didn't).

We were a group of 8, four adults and 4 pre-teens and teens. We had a great time and this was a great way to see the natural beauty of Sete Ciudades. Our guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and they accommodated our needs and made everyone comfortable. The e-bikes functioned great and thank goodness for “turbo” mode at the end, because that hill climb at the end was a steep one! Be sure to dress in layers as there was quite a bit of difference in the weather between the higher and lower elevations. It was a thrilling ride with absolutely stunning views. Thank you!
