Meet your guide and group at 41, Avenue de la Bourdonnais, 75007 PARIS at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time of 8:20am. In a comfortable tour vehicle, depart for the Palace of Versailles, located outside of Paris. Relax and enjoy the scenery on the ride.

Follow your guide on a tour of the palace, including the Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Chapel, and the golden bedroom of the King. The former residence of Louis XIV and three other French kings is surrounded by a 2,000-acre (809-hectare) garden, which you will have time to explore at your leisure.

Return to Paris, then begin the second leg of your tour: the Louvre.

Follow your guide on a 2-hour tour of the famous museum. See collection highlights such as the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Mona Lisa, and David’s Coronation of Napoleon.

Our guide was excellent. His English was perfect. Most importantly his knowledge of the subject was very deep and he brings a personal perspective so you not only understand the subject but the how people behave at the time. He made sure everyone’s questions were answered and overall was fun to be with. We can easily recommend him to everyone. We enjoyed all of the tours he gave. Wonderful experience!

Viator Tour Details NOT Accurate

We booked this tour for a party of five guest many months ago. This tour cost us over $1300. We arrived promptly to the VIATOR tour operator PARIS TRIP TOURS and looked forward the what VIATOR had offered as the Versailles and the Louvre Tour with Skip-the-Line Access. In the VIATOR booking details the tour was described as an 8 hour small group tour. We arrived promptly to PARIS TRIP TOURS and left for Versailles in a very nice van with a very knowledgeable guide named Laura. It was raining and the lines outside Versailles long but we did go right in and skipped the long line. The guide was very good and the two hour visited left Versailles at 11:15 am. We were under the impression that we would now go DIRECTLY to the LOUVRE MUSEUM as detailed in the VIATOR tour details : 1. Versailles 2. Palace of Versailles 3. La Galerie des Glaces (Versailles) 4. Jardines du Chateau de Versailles 5. Louvre Museum. but instead we were driven back to PARIS TRIP TOURS arrived at approximately 11:50 am and told to "go have lunch and come back at 1:15 p.m." nowhere in the trip details does it mention that we would be taken back to the tour office after the Versailles visit. We wasted close to two hours walking around and waiting to be taken to the LOUVRE MUSEUM. The PARIS TRIP TOUR office attendant, Marie, told us that a cab would be called for us and we would be driven to the museum. Like I said, we are a party of five and at 1:15 in the afternoon a very small, filthy cab pulled up, and we were crammed into this cab and taken to the museum. I was given a copy of a map and told that we would be dropped off in front of a bookstore where we would have to wait until 2:15 in the afternoon to meet our museum guide! More time wasted. We arrived at the bookstore and stood under the rain for 45 minutes until a very nice lady by the name of Bo approached us and identified herself as our guide. She was very apologetic and told us she had been watching us from across the street and was not sure if we were the group she was waiting for. She had been there for 30 minutes, but she did not have a sign so we did not know who she was, and she did not know who we were. Bo was very kind and professional and an excellent guide as was Laura, the previous guide who took us to Versailles. Bo took us on a beautiful tour of the museum and was very knowledgeable. I cannot emphasize enough that my disappointment has nothing to do with the guides. It has to do with the poor explanation in the VIATOR details REGARDING this tour. I would've never booked it if I knew that I was going to be driven back to the tour agency, dropped off for close to two hours, driven in a filthy unsafe cab to our next stop and then had to wait another 45 minutes for our museum tour to commence. The description of this tour on the VIATOR website is not accurate. I disputed the charge only to be declined. I have called VIATOR more than once and I've gotten nowhere. The PARIS TRIP TOUR response to my complaint had nothing to do with my complaint. THEIR GUIDES WERE GREAT the complaint is about the time wasted waiting around between the Versailles and Louvre. Museum tours.

Great time at Versailles and the Louvre

The Versailles experience was amazing. Our guide, Honore, was fantastic and shared Royal French History to Versailles and then went into great detail in each room on the tour. We visited the King’s bedroom, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Queen’s bedroom and which took about 2 hours. We then received tickets and a return time to visit the Gardens for about an hour. The Gardens are beautiful and in the morning the play music and the fountains dance. We then met Honore back at the van and were driven back to Paris and given about an hour and a half to find lunch before we were taken to the Louvre. We had a 6 and 9 year old with us and it was a lot of detail for the 6 year old. In hindsight, he was too young for both parts of the tour but Honore was very understanding and engaging with him. The one unexpected moment of the tour was that we were sent by Uber from the office to the Louvre. I expected to be taken by Van in a similar way as to Versailles. Once at the Louvre, we met Honore again and he took us to see the Sphinx, Nike, the Mona Lisa, and some other highlights. At the end of the tour we could have stayed and explore the Louvre but we asked for directions the Notre Dame and went to get pictures there. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and we will do it again.

Our guide was awesome!!, we skipped the lines - which were 2-3 hrs long and literally walked in!. As she discussed each work of art - it made you realize all of the details involved in each piece!, we would have never got that - on our own. FYI- there’s so much to see- you can’t possibly go through this museum in a few hrs.

Not worth it - too fast and too long to wait between tours (which they don't tell you)

Versailles trip was just so so. We had a new guide and while very nice, totally unexperienced in leading a group. Furthermore, no where on the itinerary for this double excursion does it say you will actually tour Versailles then come back to the tour office for an over 2 hour wait THEN meet up with another guide for the Louvre tour at a different location altogether. We had another tour booked for 5p so we had to rush through the Louvre. We ended up with less than 2 hours at the Louvre - not nearly enough time. The only thing that saved this tour was Divana (?) our tour guide who was brilliant! Full of information! and the best tour guide we had of anywhere we toured!

Busy and Fun day in Paris

We had a wonderful time on this tour! My husband and four children ages 5-14 all enjoyed it. If you have small children I would definitely advise that this is a long and busy day for them. My children really enjoyed Versailles both the palace and the garden! Of course you cannot see all of the Louvre in one day, it's impossible so we know when booking this that we would only be able to see highlights. While it was a short amount of time we did see a lot and it was long enough that the kids were definitely ready to move on after. I really enjoyed our tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and that this was a small group.

Very organized and very well done. It’s a long day so maybe split it up into two days if you want to see more artwork at the Louvre. For me, it was perfect for the amount of time I had.

This was actually two separate trips with two separate guides. Our early morning visit to Versailles with Nicholas was excellent--we were the first bus there and therefore missed the crowds. Nicholas did a great job of pointing out the special features of each room and even helped us optimize our visit to the gardens. Our afternoon visit to the Louvre was a bit more crowded and spent more time giving us background on the building and pyramid that we could have better used visiting an extra exhibit. We only had time to visit three or four of the most popular pieces of art but, of course, this is a museum that would be impossible to fully explore even if we had a week! If we had more time in Paris, I would recommend doing both trips as 1/2 day trips on two separate mornings!

Tour guides were fantastic and I learned a lot despite having already been to both venues. Be aware they are two separate tours lopped together. So even though the tour shows being transported in an air conditioned vehicle, that’s only to Versailles. You take a taxi to the Louvre. And even though the tour overview claimed a 2-course lunch would be provided, they said it didn’t come with lunch. I even showed them where it indicated lunch provided, but they just shrugged their shoulders.

Both can’t miss places. Good and organized

Breathtaking palace and beautiful art

Wow! What a trip! We had the best tour guide who actually has a background in art history and knows his history inside and out! We arrived at the palace fairly early in the morning and practically had the place to ourselves! We had a different tour guide for the Louvre portion but he was also very knowledgeable and provided tons of background history. This trip is a must when visiting Paris! It’s a little tiring doing both portions in one day (Lots of walking and standing) but we managed to do it, and we are seniors!

I highly recommend this tour especially that it is "skip the line access", you don't have to through the long lines at the entrance. Our tour guide Nadia was really good and so passionate with the history and culture of Paris.

Versailles and Louvre Tour

This tour was great. -1 star for the mediocre lunch. The Paris Trip office where you meet is very close to the Eiffel Tower. It ended up being a 3 minute walk from our hotel. Very easy to find. Our tour guide was also our driver, in a van that seated 9 total. We started with Versailles, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and escorted us around with no problems. The one-ear listening devices were quite helpful. We spent probably about 1.5-2hrs total at Versailles. 1hr inside, and about 30 min after for the gardens. This amount of time was perfect for me. I'm sure you could spend all day that, but that didn't interest me. The abbreviated introduction was just my speed. We headed back to the city where 4 of us went on to have lunch and 4 concluded their tour and were dropped off by the guide while we ate. Lunch was on one of the boats docked on the river by the Eiffel Tower. A nice venue, but they were confused about what we could order, since the meal was included with our tour. At first the menu looked promising, but then we were downgraded to either soup and chicken, or chicken and dessert. Not much to choose from. Would be very easy to expand the choices a bit since this is a full service restaurant. After lunch, four of us rejoined the guide and headed to the Louvre. We spent about 2hrs +/- with the guide in the Louvre catching the highlights, including the Mona Lisa. While you would need 3 months to see everything, 2hrs was perfect for me. Our guide left us at the Louvre where you could re-enter the museum or finish off the day however you wish. Our tour started at about 8:30am and concluded around 3:30pm-ish. I felt like we did a lot and saw two major sites without running ourselves ragged. A most enjoyable day that went very smoothly. The very small tour had a nice private guide feel. Would definitely recommend.

The tour was very good and being able to skip the line was fantastic as the line can be very long to get into the attractions. The lunch was in a nice location on the river by the Eiffel Tower however the food was bland and you only got one choice: chicken (which was dry) and veggies or fries.
