Chose this tour because the crowds around the Mona Lisa are described as lighter at that time of day. We were hoping our niece, who was on the trip with us, would get an unobstructed photo with ML in the background. Wrong.
This is the 2nd time we've toured The Louvre. First time was a private tour. I wouldn't recommend one over the other. Both show the same pieces and I'm thinking no matter what time you go, our private tour was early morning, it's always going to be crowded, especially in the ML room.
What was different on this tour though was that we got to see where the recent theft of the crown jewels happened and saw the window the thieves came through to pull it off. Sad, but unique and memorable.

With 35,000 works of art, you can’t see it all. Sid did a great job navigating through all the crowds and allowing us to see not just the greatest works of art, but also lesser known works.

Informative tour with knowledgeable guide; children under 18 should bring ID for entry. I’ve visited the Louvre multiple times but having a guide was by far the best visit!

Too many people on the tour. Took forever to check in, for him to purchase group tickets, get a pass, and store things in a locker for the group. Broken English and I felt that we were chasing the guide through the throngs of people. Museum is hot for August and very crowded. Our guide disappeared at the Mona Lisa and that is where I ended the tour due to frustration and a missing tour guide.

Be aware that the guide may have a heavy accent and muffled voice making understanding what is being said very difficult. My friend who has hearing aids was very frustrated and I did not understand much either. He was rushing also.

This was a great tour. Even though we didn't enter until 5.40, the crowds were still quite big. However, our guide Nazle made navigating them a breeze and she was able to get us in front of all the pieces, especially the Mona Lisa . Her knowledge was exceptional and she really explained everything well. Glad we stayed with her till the end, as we were able to see the Venus d Milo and the Sphinx without any crowds. 5:30 on Wednesday time slot was much less crowded and we were able to see more up close. Guide was excellent explaining the history behind the art.

Be careful of the tour guide company changing the hour without notifying you on the day. We almost missed going due to their error. They were not helpful until the new tour guide took us on.
The tour guide we did get was amazing. It’s worth seeing though you won’t get near the Mona Lisa due to heavy crowds. The museum itself is stunning, and I’m so glad we were able to go despite the obstacle.

We were not able to find the tour guide at the specified location and when we called their contact number, no one answered. We tried several times and several ways to contact them with no luck. Viator wasn't even able to connect with them. So no tour and they refused to give us a refund. Very sad.

A disaster. I was given two conflicting start times and arrived to find the tour had already begun and we couldn’t join in. When I asked for a refund, this was refused without explanation. My subsequent complaints have been ghosted. Appalling service. Avoid.
