Despite having reservations and tickets for a family of 5, tour operator only had room for 4, wouldn't make an exception and now struggling with refund.

We’re sorry for the confusion, but we’d like to clarify the situation.
Our records show that the booking made with us was for 4 participants, not 5. We can only accommodate and manage guests included in the reservation under our company.
If one member of your party had a booking with a different tour operator, we unfortunately have no access or control over that reservation, and any refund or adjustment must be requested directly with the operator they booked with.

The Louvre tends to be very crowded and difficult to navigate on your own. Mo was such an amazing tour guide getting us in and to some of the best piece in the gallery. She was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. We will definitely recommend this tour and Mo to everyone we know.

Exception tour guide, FLORIAN. He is passionate and very knowledgeable about everything in the museum. Not only did he highlight the popular pieces, he also made us take notice other works and shared their significance and contribution to the arts and to history. We arrived about four minutes late for our tour, and while we understand the importance of starting on time, the initial interaction with our guide felt a bit rushed and unwelcoming. Navigating traffic in another country can be challenging, and it was unfortunate that the tour began on a stressful note.
Our children were very excited to visit the Louvre Museum and did enjoy the guide’s presentation overall. Once the tour was underway, the experience improved, though the beginning left us feeling a bit nervous rather than at ease.

Because the Louvre operates on strict timed-entry tickets, our guides are under real pressure to enter at the scheduled time. Arriving late can sometimes mean delayed access or, in some cases, entry being denied altogether, which is why guides may need to move quickly at the start of the tour. We’re sorry if this made the initial interaction feel rushed or stressful — that was certainly not our intention.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Louvre, thanks to our intelligent, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. The storytelling and history made the experience unforgettable. I would 100 percent recommend booking directly with Uncle Sam Tours and skipping Viator altogether. Viator is just a middleman making money for nothing. Book direct and you will get a far better experience.

The tour started on time. We had a few bad interactions with our guide MO. She is not very pleasant/forgiving in our opinion so we got off to a bad start. It was raining and dark that evening in the large expanse of the Louvre courtyard and we got lost, when we did find her and told her our name her comment was “I know”. After we got into the Louvre, she sent the group to the ground bathroom and told us to regroup outside the very crowded waiting area. When I got out of the bathroom, I could not find her. Mind you that she is short and she doesn’t use anything to help us find her in the crowd…. A colorful umbrella or flag would be nice. When I finally find her I make a comment that I was special, trying to be funny, but instead she just make a comment “ I can see that”, then there were other instance in the crowd. I accidentally stepped on her heel and then she told me to keep a distance from her. So yes, it’s my fault but no one wants to be lost and stepping on her heel is an accident.
We feel she could have handled the situation a little better. During the tour she cover the history of the Louvre, 2 sculpture, 3 pieces of Davinci work plus Mona Lisa. Then she spent an inordinate amount of time delving into conspiracy theories in the heist-clearly very interesting to her but not to me or my husband who were there to learn about art pieces. Another chunk of inordinate time talking about her personal accomplishments after we had regrouped. All 6 of us were ready to go and learn, but had to wait til she had finished her life story and accomplishments. When we were done there was only an hour left to explore before the Louvre closed. We returned the next day for a self tour. Honestly, in our opinion, this tour was time and money consuming in the wrong direction. Not recommended and buyer beware

Going to the louvre at night was excellent! It felt like we were the only ones in there. The group size was small (6 people) and she brought us to all of the major spots. Hearing art through her eyes was great! She told wonderful stories. The benefit of going in the evening was that it was so quiet we could enjoy and take pictures without anyone in them. We also did not feel rushed to move on. There was time following the tour to explore for almost an hour on our own before the museum closed.

Our guide Sylvia was fantastic extremely passionate and very personable. It was the perfect way to get acquainted with the Louvre. It was our first time so it would have been very overwhelming if we were on our own. Highly recommend it!

We attended the 6pm tour on a Wednesday evening and the crowds were definitely less. Our tour guide, Saeed, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend having a guide as they know ways to move you through spaces and provide insights on the art.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you felt disappointed, but just to clarify: this experience is advertised as a 2-hour tour, not 3 hours. Our guides always deliver the full program within that time frame, regardless of how many guests are present.
In your case, you were the only guest, so the guide naturally moved through the museum more quickly since there were no group delays or extra questions. We also checked with the guide, and the tour actually started earlier than the scheduled 3:15 pm, as you were already on time and the only person booked. That’s why it may have felt shorter than expected, but the full visit was provided.
We’re glad you joined us at the Louvre by night, and we hope to welcome you again so you can enjoy it with the group atmosphere next time.

We booked this tour because we thought there would be fewer people during the Louvre’s night hours. We were wrong. But our guide, Monty, was excellent. He helped us navigate all the people and got us to the front of the crowd for the Mona Lisa. We were then given time to explore on our own after his tour concluded. Great experience!

We were traveling as a family with college age young adults. Mo was our guide- amazing and knowledgeable - she made it great. Very engaging and down to earth. Though crowded, she said it was still quite empty. Would very much recommend her to anyone considering a tour.

This was a great tour. Our guide, Saaed, was so good. He’s so knowledgeable about the museum, the art and French history but conveys it in an entertaining way. Though the museum was crowded, he easily navigated our group giving information throughout.

Sawed was a great guide, very knowledgeable, would recommend doing an early tour as you will need a few hours after the tour to explore by your self.

We were in the square at the time of the tour;however, not with at guide at that point. TWO minutes later we found where he wanted us to be, but he’d already left. He KNEW we were very close to him but still choose to go in (even though a guide from another tour company told us he only had 2othets on the tour.) To make it even worse, we responded to his question asking where we were & TOLD him this by text. We also tried calling him but it went to voicemail. The tour company Viator used was Uncle Sam’s Tours. We were later told he had to leave due to another tour later;however, this was the latest tour they offered for the Louve experience for the day. As a result of this, our entire Louve experience was cut way short & hurried. I’ve been a Viator customer for years & have had FANTASTIC experiences, but not this one. Uncle Sam Tours was not accomodating at all, & Viator said they had to leave as it was their policy, ignoring the 2 minute issue & other factors. Not good customer relations!

Our guide called and texted multiple times before the tour began, yet we received no response. The guide cannot assume that late arrivals are nearby if there is no communication. By the time you responded—after the official start time—the group had already entered the museum as scheduled.
We operate on strict entry times at the Louvre, and our guides cannot delay the entire group to wait for latecomers who do not respond to calls or messages. Additionally, the guide’s schedule after the tour is not relevant to this situation. The priority is ensuring that all booked guests who arrive on time receive the experience they paid for.

This museum is mind blowing! Our guide, Hisham was patient and VERY knowledgeable about the history, artifacts and influences behind the art! Even though the museum is vast, Hisham was able to show us a lot of the big attractions, including the Mona Lisa and the Sphinx. Our tour included a lot of great art work and Hisham was a great teacher for the duration. Definitely recommend him and this tour!

I did this tour with my husband. It was a nice intimate group of 6 which was nice. Hisham was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Showed us all the pieces we would want to see of course the Mona Lisa. Hisham is probably one of my favourite guides I have had on a tour he has a way of telling you the information and had a good sense of humour. He didn’t rush you through the exhibitions either. I highly recommend this tour as although there are still quite a few visitors especially being Valentine’s Day we got through the small queues fast and there wasn’t really any waiting. Also where it says it is a voucher don’t worry you do not need to get this before the guide has your ticket. Also you get a text to confirm the meeting point etc before the tour.

A great informative tour and out guide was very knowledgeable about the history of The Louvre Museum.
Ishan was our guide and we had exclusivity as we were just 2 people.
The Twighlight tour was great as there were less crowds and it was the 8th of January 2025 so this probably had a lot to do with the smooth transition of queuing and access within the Louvre.
I would recommend for sure. Because we would not know where certain artworks of note would be. 2 hours was fine for what we wanted to achieve, seeing renaissance, grecko, Roman, French antiquities. Of course culminating with the grand dame herself Mona Lisa and we didn't have to fight our way towards a good vantage point to view her.
