Our experience was excellent - Our guide was knowledgeable and really made the pieces we visited come alive with the history - She did a great job of intertwining the art, the artist, the museum and the county. The crowds were manageable, it was easy to find out guide and the pace and pieces we visited were great.

Highly recommend! Our guide Hugo was fantastic! He is so knowledgeable! There is so much to see and he did a great job highlighting pieces and was an incredible story teller. Logistics were easy too - easy entry, locker to store our coats and bags, and way less crowded!

Great Tour of the Louvre

KarinStadler, Apr 2026
We loved this tour. The Louvre is massive, and we would have been lost otherwise. Our guide was so knowledgeable, and really made the pieces of art come alive. Going later in the day also made a huge difference. We were able to walk right up to the Mona Lisa without standing in any line. It is definitely a long tour, with a lot of walking (and steps) but I highly recommend it.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hello, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you loved your experience at the Louvre with us. It’s great to know your guide helped bring the artworks to life and made navigating such a vast museum feel easy and enjoyable. We’re especially pleased you were able to experience the Mona Lisa with minimal crowds—visiting later in the day really can make a big difference. We also appreciate your note about the length of the tour and the walking involved; the Louvre is certainly expansive, but we’re glad you still found it highly worthwhile. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Kind regards, Tom Walks & Devour support team

Fabulous tour with Bellen. She was smart and engaging. A wealth of knowledge about art and French history. Highly recimmend! The Louvre is too big to see on your own.

Guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun

Patricia_B, Feb 2026
Be prepared to walk a lot the Louve is very crowded no matter what day or time. Having a guide the first time is a must

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you for the excellent review, Patricia! We are so pleased to hear that your guide made the experience both knowledgeable and fun. You hit the nail on the head with your advice—the Louvre is a world of its own, and having a guide for the first time is truly the best way to navigate the crowds and the sheer scale of the museum. We are glad that the "Closing Time" tour helped you find a bit of peace with the Mona Lisa amidst all that walking! We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to the team. Kind Regards, Gerard

Great guide (Adam), great art, great timing.

Roland_R, Jan 2026

Julie is Your Guide

Margaret_M, Jan 2026
Julie took us through the louvre and it really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. She focused on the biggest pieces in the collection, including The Mona Lisa. Because of the time of year being the dead winter, and the time of day being towards the end, there were so few people in the museum. We were able to sit right in front of artwork and chat for as long as we wanted. We also got amazing pictures of the artwork. She is so knowledgeable and so engaging in her review of each piece. Recommend this tour for couples, solo travelers, families, really anyone.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you, Margaret, for such a wonderful and detailed review of our Closing Time at the Louvre: The Mona Lisa at her Most Peaceful tour. We’re delighted to hear that your time with Julie felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and that you were able to enjoy the quieter winter evening atmosphere in the museum. Being able to sit in front of the artworks, talk about them at length, and capture great photos without the usual crowds is exactly what we hope this tour can offer. It’s fantastic to know that Julie’s knowledge and engaging style brought the masterpieces to life for you and we really appreciate your recommendation for all types of travellers. We hope you'll join us for another experience in the future. Best regards, Samantha. Walks Feedback Team.

Great guide, well organized tour

Audry_P, Dec 2025
We found it very easy to find the group and enter the museum, there was good working technical equipment (earpiece to hear guide), the guide spoke English very well so we could understand what she was saying. Felicia, our guide, was very considerate and made sure no one was left behind or uncomfortable, made stops for restroom. Her excitement for the museum was palpable and infectious, we really appreciated her excitement and thought it was an amazing tour.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that everything went smoothly from meeting the group to entering the museum, and that the technical equipment and clear communication enhanced your visit. Louve

CHERI_D, Dec 2025
Our guide was very friendly , & quickly became a close group. Access into the Louve was worth the trip plus less crowded going later.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Cheri, Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re so glad to hear that your guide helped create a warm, friendly atmosphere within the group—that makes such a difference on a tour. Beware Scams and Incorrect Meeting Points

Charah_W, Dec 2025
Tour was not where they said they would be. Showed up early and went back and forth between Louvre and alleged meeting spot with no green sign to be seen. No issues with any other tours we booked. Tour operator didn't respond until Viator support got involved and would not issue refund. Viator support refused refund so now having to dispute over $200 with card services. Heard this tour was great....if you can find them. They sure aren't helpful.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Chase, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m very sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration you encountered while trying to meet your tour. After reviewing the booking, you were unfortunately marked as a no-show, which indicates that the guide and group were present at the correct meeting point and departed after the designated waiting period. In situations like this—when the tour runs as scheduled and the guide is on-site—we’re unable to issue a refund, as the service has been delivered on our end. We completely understand how disappointing this is, especially given your effort to arrive early and your positive experiences with other tours. Thank you again for sharing your concerns. We truly wish the circumstances had been different and hope you’re still able to enjoy the rest of your time in Paris. Warm Regards, Sarah Walks & Devour Team

Take this Tour!

Heather_M, Nov 2025
Take this tour! We were in Paris for a week and took a lot of tours while we were there, and this was by far the best! Adam was the best tour guide ever!!! He was funny, engaging and knowledgeable! The Louvre and huge and it's impossible to see everything in one visit (or a month of visits). Adam made sure we saw the best of the museum and helped us maximize our time there. We really can't say enough about this experience. If we could give it 10 stars we would. Team Adam 100%!

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Wow — thank you so much, Heather, for such an amazing review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that your Louvre experience with Adam was the highlight of your time in Paris. He truly has a gift for bringing art and history to life with humor and insight, and we know he’ll be over the moon to read your kind words. We’re so grateful for your 10-star enthusiasm and Team Adam spirit! We hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable Walks & Devour experience. Kind regards, Gerard – Walks & Devour

Great way to see the highlights

Kym_W, Nov 2025
We enjoyed our tour with guide Laurence, she was great, very informative. She was a speed walker so we had to keep up. being able to pass the entrance lines, and be guided through security was great. Still had some crowds, but not terrible.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you so much, Kym, for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Closing Time at the Louvre tour with Laurence. She truly brings the museum to life with her knowledge and enthusiasm, and we’re glad the skip-the-line access and guidance through security made your visit easier and more enjoyable. We really appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back on another Walks & Devour tour soon! Kind regards, Gerard – Walks & Devour

Just a Small Taste of a Magnificent Banquet

Ruthann_G, Oct 2025
A fast-paced but exceptional visit with our very knowledgeable guide Lawrence, who shared insights into some of the well-known and not-so-well-known works of art while guiding our small group of six smoothly through the masses of people. She pointed out details and interpretations that we would never have noticed on our own. The Louvre provides free folding stools that were much appreciated when we stopped for focused information. The tour ends at closing time, so unfortunately there is no opportunity to wander on your own afterward. Highly recommend.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit and that Lawrence made the experience both insightful and smooth, even amidst the crowds. It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the attention to detail and the little touches that made the tour more comfortable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Kind Regards Walks and Devour Feedback Team

Perfect Tour

Kelly_W, Oct 2025
Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide brought along his IPad to show us different examples through out the tour. Really helped to give us a full understanding of some of the many pieces we saw Very knowledgeable and kind. Gave us time to linger as we went but made sure that we saw all of the high points through out the museum.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for sharing, Kelly! We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and that your guide’s use of the iPad helped bring the art to life. It sounds like you had the perfect pace to both explore and linger at the highlights. We would love to see you in the future for another amazing tour! Warm regards, Gerard

So much more!

Lynn_S, Sep 2025
There is so much more to the Louvre than the paintings. The history of the building helps understand what the artist was thinking when he created.

Aurelia was great! She made jokes and kept the tour interesting. Saw a lot of art from different countries and periods

Fantastic Tour at the Perfect Time

Lanesa_K, Sep 2025
This was only my 2nd time at the Louvre and it was outstanding. Our guide Nancy was fabulous - her knowledge and wonderful personality made it both educational and entertaining. And to see the Mona Lisa as well as other DaVinci works without a line was unbelievably amazing. I felt like I really saw her this time versus at the back of a dense crowd of people trying to zoom in from afar. I highly recommend both the tour and our guide Nancy!

Wonderful tour learned a ton!

Gail_A, Aug 2025
Our guide Felix was amazing. His context on the art was super interesting and his delivery is amazing. We had a wonderful time, and would book with him again!

Amazing detailed tour

Sven_H, Aug 2025
Our guide Lee was educated in art history. He introduced us to the history of the building, then thoroughly explained the most significant artworks in the Louvre and pointed out many details. We booked the small group option due to availability and were happy that we could ask plenty of questions. In peak season, the museum is still busy in the evening, but the crowds were manageable. With the tour, we used the group entrance and did not have to wait in any line. As a historic building, the Louvre has limited air conditioning; on a hot day, it will be warm inside, but not unbearable.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your time with Lee and appreciated his art history expertise, as well as the insights into the Louvre’s building and masterpieces. It’s great that the small group format allowed for plenty of questions and a more personal experience. We’re also happy the group entrance made your visit smoother, even during peak season. We’ll be sure to share your feedback with Lee — he’ll be delighted to know he made your Louvre experience so rewarding. Kind Regards Walks and Devour Feedback Team

This Tour Guide made the Experience!

Shannon_A, Aug 2025
Omar our guide was the absolute BEST!!!! We took the 3pm last tour of the day, and he MADE THE TOUR! If you can somehow get him, book it for sure!

Upfront at the Mona Lisa

Leah_C, Jul 2025
Fabulous guide - Ahmed— art expert - well paced — and we both love the same paintings. I had no-one in front of me at the Mona Lisa around 5:30pm. Viator selects the best tour companies. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing tour

Kimberley_O, Jul 2025
Stephanie was our guide and she was amazing. This was a long tour and she made the whole thing so entertaining and informative. Even my teenage children had a good time. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Definitely recommend this guided tour!

scdrummer, Jun 2025
The museum is huge, so you definitely want to take a guided tour. Our guide had some really interesting knowledge about pieces that I never would’ve known without her information. And by the time we got to Mona Lisa, the crowds really were fairly small. You cannot get very close to the painting, but we got right up to the front because the crowd was light. Highly recommend.

Rachel_B, Jun 2025
Our guide was great, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Probably the best tour we had on our trip! We saw a lot of the Louvre.

Less crowded, less overwhelming- a win for the whole family!

Marcy_P, Jun 2025
Our tour guide, Daniel from Ireland, was really great! He is funny and interactive - keeping the kids/teens in the group engaged while sharing interesting facts about the amazing artwork.

Busy but good

Holly_M, Jun 2025
Name might be a little deceiving…..not exactly Peaceful time at Louvre……very busy…..but June is just going to be busy and “line” or Crowd in front of Mona Lisa was too much. Tour guide did a good job with details and explanation…and trying to deal with crowds and noise..

Great tour guide; not so great timing

Kelly_F, Jun 2025
Carolina was a fantastic guide, who showed us artwork that we would not have noticed on our own. She deserves 5 stars! But I have the tour 4 because I believe it is incorrectly advertised. 3:30 on a Wednesday was NOT a peaceful time to see the Mona Lisa 😆 it was so crowded and hot. I regret not going to the Louvre during their late-night hours. But c’est la vie!
