The museum is popular and therefore crowded. But it’s the best collection of impressionist art in the world.

Got tickets for the Musee d Orsay that was supposed to include audio. Downloaded the audio app entered the provided code EXACTLY as instructed and it said “ The reservation not found”. Tried many many times to no avail. Went to the museum anyway with no audio and I wouldn’t suggest going without audio you need it!! Upon returning from the museum reached out to Viator customer service(if you can call it that!). They kept saying that they were able to get the audio with my reservation number and would not budge. I tried to reach a fair conclusion and I asked for 50% refund on both our tickets. I sent them screenshots as proof. Just awful customer service!!! I had read the horrible reviews about Viator and sadly took a chance…. NEVER again will I use Viator.

Loved looking at artwork I was so familiar with, especially on the 5th floor. Be patient , wait till you can get the spot in front of the clock, have someone take your pic for the coolest “instagram” silhouetted shot to remember your trip

I paid for audio guide, but when I got to the audio guide stand, they said viator is invalid to receive the audio guide. I paid for this services I did not receive! Had to pay 12 euros at the museum because viator let me down.

Way to crowded too enjoy. I've seen more Monet and Van Gogh at other museums and special exhibits, with less crowds.
Also, could not get the audio tour to work. The app asked for a reference code, not to choose a museum name as instructed. I tried the codes seen on my ticket and they didn't work. So that was a bummer.

Tickets sold out on official site (for the day we wanted) so booked our visit on Viator as I wanted a ticket “in-hand” before showing up. We didn’t do the audio guide (that came with this purchase) but chose instead to get the headsets from inside the museum (6 Euro x 2). We spent 3 hours there (had lunch on the 5th floor which was great IMHO). Thanks Viator for being there when we needed tickets even though they cost a bit more. Had a flex ticket (no set time) and there was an entrance for tickets with no set time.

The audio guide was thru a separate merchant. We did not bring our phones to the museum and could not use the audio portion of our ticket. Instead we purchased separately an audio guide.

Couldn't figure out how to get the audio guide. Was hoping it would be there at the museum. I guess you have to download it to your phone! I still don't know how it was supposed to work. That was the only thing wrong. The museum was beautiful.

Musée d’Orsay is a must see. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time. Saved us an hour in line. The audio deal that’s part of this is awful. The numbers on the paintings don’t match the audio guide and many of the top paintings didn’t have commentary. Should have just bought the guide in Orsay.

The museum part was ok. Timed entry tickets. It took us about 30 minutes to get in.
The river cruise part was a waste because we couldn’t get on the boat since there was a line over 100 meters long.. We were hoping to get on the last cruise but no success that night.. Everyone trying to get on the cruise at night. They should have sold the tickets for specific time. I asked Viator for a partial refund but they denied it..

Beautiful galleries of artwork. The view from the huge clock is worth going upstairs for. Our ticket voucher wouldn’t load but we had a nice ticket taker who figured it out. He said it happens all the time with Viator.

I was so happy to get my untimed entry ticket. Museum opened at 9:30am, and I was in the line at 9:20am in the museum at 9:35am . Even though there were very long lines to get in, my line was super quick and I was able to get up to the top floor to take my photos, one of the first to enter. Therefore highly recommend .

Sad to report that while it favorable to enter the museum and not wait in line… The audio guide was NOT matching the artwork.
We tried to use audio guide different ways but eventually decided to purchase the museum headphones. Because the artwork in the guide is organized by level and doesn’t often match the artwork in the room.
Its not user friendly at all.
The audio guide is also not up to date. For example Starry night is in London until mid Jan 2025. But listed in the audio guide.
