Lovely and agreable tour in a family owned palace, having the present count as a guide. Attentively guided through the rooms and centuries.
This was a very interesting tour indeed! Amusing at times too. A member of the family does the tours and he was charming, interesting and funny. We loved it and would recommend it without hesitation.
What an amazing experience. The house was simply one of the best palazzo’s I’ve ever seen for its awesome ceilings, floors and walls with period furniture complementing it all. The house was brought to life by our host, the eldest son of the current owner, Count Alessandro Federico, it was fascinating to hear the house’s history as well as the family history. I highly recommend it!
Count Frederico is a 7 th Gen family member and knows his family history, as well as the many stories surrounding the castle itself.
The tour guide actually lives in the palace, so it was a nice touch and his love for his home plus family history was beautiful to see. He managed our tour in English and Italian, which is admirable. I especially loved Maddie, the family cat and seeing their family photos. It made it seem more personable, and less of “here goes another palace like the last three I saw…”.
Wonderful experience hosted by an heir of the original family from the 14th century. He and his family members still reside there. Amazing tour with intricate historical details masterfully shared.
It is an excellent tour and in one hour you learn so much about the history of Sicily. The property and host are fascinating. In my opinion this is 100% a must see.
Amazing story told by the member of family who still live in palace. The place is authentic and everything inside is at least 200 years old, even the newest thing. Very interesting.

A very beautiful house steeped in history. A fascinating tour made very unique as it is the owner who conducts the tour so very informative and happy to answer questions.
It was a delightful and entertaining tour, given by one of the sons of the Count. The castle, history and artifacts are fascinating. And we really enjoyed riding an Ape cab back to the ship!!

Best Palace tour ever! The family member, Nicholas, was fantastic! You need to be able to climb stairs.
The personal touch , being shown round the palazzo by the heir to the title, made this an unforgettable experience. The palazzo is a bit difficult to find - but persevere, it is very well worth the effort. There are two prior booked time slots in the morning, and two open entry slots in the afternoon. The tour takes about an hour in total.

This palazzo is so special to me that I returned again from last year to bring my family . We were ten in total and thoroughly enjoyed this personalized experience . Not only is the palazzo exquisite , and historic but the personalized tour of by one of the family members makes the story come alive with detail and relevancy .
I can't speak highly enough about this tour with architectural cultural and historical explanations that make it so special .
By the way, our Sicilian -American family stayed at the apartments that are owned by the family as well , next to the palazzo so it made the experience even that much more enjoyable .
