Quick and easy access to the castle saved lining up in the heat. Caught the express lift to level 5 and walked up to the level 8 lookout.

I was solo traveling in Japan. I had a day trip to Osaka and went to the castle for a bit of history. The place was CROWDED, so opted to start at the very top of the castle (8-stories, took the stairs) and work my way down. I also opted for an audio guide. It helped get through the exhibits faster since I could stand a bit away and listen to the descriptions. It was an interesting visit and worthwhile if you're into history.

The tickets were emailed and messaged 24 hours after purchase (it isn't instant). Having tickets allowed us to skip the line to buy tickets (prob saved half an hour) and we headed straight i to the castle. Definitely worth it. The castle is spectacular!

Visiting the garden was really nice! We had lunch at the rooftop bar which I don’t recommend! Very over priced and didn’t get a lot of food. I honestly wouldn’t waste time and money to go into the Osaka castle. It’s a little boring. But go and visit, as it’s still beautiful

There's a lot of people. We were there on a Monday and it was almost impossible to get around. The exhibition itself is fine. There is air conditioning, which was really nice.
