Do not book this tour. This is simply a ride from cruise ship to Pompeii and back. The driver will try to upsell you additional tours for hundreds of dollars more. After the tour I realized he never took us to MT Vesuvius. The driver was very pushy and made us uncomfortable. . At this point Viator is not offering even a partial credit for services not rendered.

Dear Mrs Pamela, as we have already explained to you , you have purchased a "shore excursion to the Pompeii excavations with a 2-hour visit ". The visit at Mt Vesuvius is not included in this experience and neither are the guide and tickets Pompeii ruins entrance included. To make sure everything was clear, we sent you an email with all the details of what is and isn't included in your booking, to be sure you made the right choice. In addition, we have offered you the opportunity to book a guide with skip-the-line tickets as well . And your response was, “ I got it. Thank you Sent from your iPhone " When I met you at the cruise ship meeting point, you acted as if the guide and ticket were included, and once again it was explained to you that this was not the case... we always do our best to accommodate the customer, we are so flexible that if there is a special request we always give extra time and extra stops, Vesuvius was in your mind, you never asked for the possibility of visiting it, and since it was not foreseen we are not obliged to do so, except as a special request. A bit of the history of Naples was explained to you and I took you to the city center as you requested after visiting Pompeii for 2 and a half hours . You were with me for almost 5 hours, from 8 am to 12.30 pm, but the worst of your attitude is that you blackmailed me, demanding a refund after you enjoyed your excursion. We don't stoop to threats, and that's why you wrote all these lies. We hope not to meet many psychopathic people like you in the future, and we wish you a peaceful life. Our tour guide SaSa was PHENOMENAL!! He was amazing at painting a picture of what life was like in prosperous Pompeii. We’ve never had a tour guide so thorough, caring, and quite hilarious! Please ask for Salvador aka “SaSa”, he truly made this experience unforgettable for us all.
