It’s an all day experience at both Herculaneum and Pompeii but well worth it our tour guide Alfredo was fantastic and very informative.

Our guide was Rafaello. He was friendly and professional and obviously is very knowledgeable about the sites and loves his work. We learned all about Herculaneum and Pompeii. It is hot with minimal shade, especially in Pompeii. I recommend sunscreen and a hat or umbrella. And bring a water bottle. In Pompeii at least you can refill in many places on the tour from the fountains. The water is safe and very good and cold. I highly recommend this tour. The only negative is that we could have used more time to eat and look at shops. There is a 50 minute lunch which was just long enough to eat and two 15 minute free times. I feel an extra 30 minutes in each place would have been helpful and preferred.

This guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum was absolutely fantastic. Our guide truly made the experience special – incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history. She brought the sites to life in a way I would never have experienced on my own. Everything was perfectly organized, and the whole tour was both fascinating and enjoyable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Long day of walking so wear good shoes but I couldn’t ask for a better tour! Vinny was our guide and Giuseppe was our driver they were prompt and always ready for anything. The ride was comfortable and Vinny was so great at explaining everything we saw in so glad we did this tour it made it so easy and so much more than it would have been without them. I learned so much and seen all the sites I was hoping to see! Thanks guys for a great tour!!!

This was a great way to see two historic sites in one day. It was a nice way to compare the two sites. Family had a good time. Keep in mind that in the summer, it gets very hot. Bring water.

Excellent. Informative and entertaining, especially Pompeii. Our guide Gennaro knows everything :-) and was able to pass some of it on to us. And often in a humorous way, too.
We started in Herculaneum, which was a good build-up to the main event - Pompeii.

Michele was superb at guiding us through both sites pointing out archeological finds which we would never notice on our own. Michele, who has worked as an archeologiest in Herculaneum, provided an indepth understanding of this site. Paulo, our driver, got us easily and safely to and from the sites.

Great tour, Gennaro was a wonderful and informative tour guide.. The difference between Pompeii and Herculum was interesting and worth the time.
Lunch stop was brilliant..a stop at
the local mall for the food court...time to eat and lots of choices, plus a dancing water show in the background.

Educational, but helpful if you do a little research first. There are some good YouTube videos too. Wear good walking shoes.

Our tour guide, Giovani, was excellent. Not only was the tour on time, van new and clean, driver great, but Giovani had answers to any and all questions. He was very knowledgeable and clearly loves Herculeum and Pompeii. Pick up was at 9:45am (there were 12 of us on the tour) and we were back at Naples Central Station by 4:30pm. We went to Herculeum first. In my opinion, Herculeum is a must, and not to be skipped. It is a much smaller site than Pompeii with more intact frescoes and mosaics. We spent ~90 minutes there, and then our guide took us to a mall where we had 45 minutes to get lunch. It was nice to have a break and fuel up for Pompeii. We then arrived at Pompeii, which is huge, where we spent ~90+ minutes. The highlight was walking an elevated ramp above an active dig/restoration. Amazing. Highly recommend Asko tours, and Giovani.

Our guide, Gennaro, was excellent — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. He kept the group moving at a comfortable pace while making sure we saw all the highlights and understood what we were looking at.
Our driver, Stavolo (spelling?), was also fantastic — calm, professional, and made the transportation between Naples, Pompeii, and Herculaneum smooth and stress-free. The van was comfortable, and it was such a relief not to worry about logistics between the sites.
We had about an hour for lunch, stopping at a nearby mall with a food court offering plenty of choices for everyone.
The overall length of the tour was perfect — not too long, not too short — and visiting both Pompeii and Herculaneum in one day felt very doable and worthwhile.
I’m usually a DIY traveler, but I’m so glad I chose a guided tour for these sites. Having Gennaro’s insights made the ruins come alive — without a guide, it would be easy to miss so much of the fascinating context and detail. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour was easy to meet up with. On time and the guide was very informed and spoke eloquently about the history of both Herculaneum and Pompeii. Pointed out lots of key archeological features of both sites and showed a comparison of both sites. Would recommend as a day activity to visit both sites. Well worth it.

Great experience . Pick ups were excellent and on time . Good time in both Pompeii and Herculaneum. Diego our guide was brilliant and gave us a great commentary and ensured any question was answered. Kept it at a good pace , so saw every significant place of interest on the tour but didnt feel too rushed either. Dropped for an hour in a shopping centre for lunch. You can leave any bags on the bus safely too.

We take a bus ride to Herculaneum followed by Pompéi.
Our guide/archaeologist Rafael (like the Ninja turtle) was incredible; smart, witty, fun, knowledgeable and cared deeply about the sites and the history. His humour was delightful and he was very informative. Learned so much by listening to him.
An experience of a life time that I will never forget.

Raphael was an excellent tour guide!! He was funny and knowledgeable. It was a great experience on an otherwise unpleasantly hot day. The car ride with AC was a relief instead of having to catch a train in between.
