Great Pompeii tour. Check timelines and return times beforehand.

The guide for the tour was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. The ride to the site from Naples was from another contractor and went well, but the sequence was not well explained beforehand. We were brought to a second site and watched a short film about the site while waiting for others to arrive, then walked across the street to meet the rest of the tour group. The meeting process took about 45 minutes which we did not factor into our timeline. If you do this tour, be sure to ask exactly when the guided tour will end if you have a timeline like trains to catch. Overall, the tour was good, and the actual guided part of Pompeii was excellent.

They don't pick you up at the address listed in the instructions BUT they were very communicative when we had that issue and made sure we were very well taken care of. If you're from the US be prepared for the drive because it's intense but Giovanna and Angelo were great and I would recommend! Our guide was so knowledgeable about every detail we learned so much compared to what we would have if we wandered alone! She as kind, funny, but also kept a tight schedule and was easy to understand.
