The views from Vesuvius were absolutely stunning. However, I would have appreciated more insight into the geology and geography, as this wasn’t included in the tour. The pizza for lunch was delicious, the limoncello tasting was food.
Finally, the guided tour of Pompeii was a highlight, engaging and informative. Extending it by another hour would have made it even better.

Umberto was very steadfast. We loved Pompeii—it was the star of the show! Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from hiking Vesuvius, but our back-up activities were still pleasant. Logistics were well-thought out.

Long day and both venues were crowded.
I thought end of October would be slower but it was busy. We seemed to be disorganized all through the day.
We didn’t see the Venus in a shell painting and some of the mosaics.
Pizza lunch was good.
Vesuvius was crowed lineups.
We were supposed to be a ‘small group’ but there were 35 people. Not small.

Our tour guide Maddy and driver were excellent. The entire day was worth the trip! Travelers should understand that the climb to the crater of Vesuvio is steep and I saw many struggle along the path. Light rain made it slippery coming down. It takes a good 30-45 min up and 20-30 down. Worth the view even on a cloudy day. Pompeii was very crowded.

Wow! We enjoyed the freedom to walk up Vesuvius. Roberta was our knowledgeable guide in Pompeii and know we jusy scratched the surface of this amazing place. We were in awe. The tour team were amazing even with a broken down bus. Would recommend.

Vesuvius was amazing but it should give more info on how long the hike is
It was very tight to get up and down in 1.5 hrs

Alyssa our guide was very informative we had plenty of time climbing Mr. Vesuvius. It rained once we reached the top but then the clouds disappeared for a few photo opportunities. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. We stopped for a free sample of an aperitivo at Maurizio Russo's stand - Terre Vesuviane. We had a delicious pizza lunch, which included a drink after a long hike. We then headed to Pompeii we met with Elena who gave us a fabulous tour. Our driver was Tino his van had good a/c.

The trip to Pompeii was quite quick. The tour guides friendly and helpful. Roberto was a great guide though Pompeii. The fire The week before at Mt vesuvious made it unable to visit but they were able to state they would give part of a refund for this tour .

We got to climb a volcano.... enough said. Not a lot of people can say they did that. Pompeii was nice... just like every other ruins.

We started at Vesuvius and walked the path to the crater. It is said to be 20 minutes, but it realistically took 40 minutes (we are not fit- but not disabled either). It was very hot- sunscreen, water and good walking shoes. Probably not the best activity if you have mobility struggles or have difficulty walking uphill for a length of time (my mom wouldn’t have been able to do this at 67 yrs old and decent shape) The crater views were stunning, the crater was smoking - showing evidence of activity (last erupted in 1944). There is no guided tour part to this- self directed. Following the hike back down (careful with your footing loose lava/gravel/sand- saw many people slip and fall) we boarded the bus to lunch with a quick stop for a limoncello tasting (with mozzacello and mozzarum tastings as well). The lunch was Napoli pizza mozzerella or marinara (sans cheese) with a drink of choice. Then we boarded the bus to Pompeii. It is HOT in Pompeii and very little shade. Sunscreen is a must, and WATER!!!! The history of Pompeii was brought to life by our Pompeii guide Willy! Admittedly I was disappointed to not have time on the tour to explore some on our own, but that means we have to come back! We were picked up and dropped off at Pz Garibaldi/Star hotel in Napoli by our tour coordinator Alessia and bus driver Arturo(?) who were very organized and welcoming.

Alessia was our guide and she was great! Mt. Vesuvius was definitely a tiring hike up from the bus, so if not physically inclined then do not do it. It is very uphill the entire time, but the views were great. Unfortunately, most of our hike it was super foggy, so we didn’t get the full experience of seeing it. Was able to see part of the crater which was still really cool. We had a morning slot, so if wanting to fully see it I would recommend a tour that goes later in the morning or afternoon. However, the amount of people there is a HUGE difference so pick your battle essentially.
Pompeii was super cool to even be in that area and see the history. It is a huge area, so the guide was only able to show us about 1/3 of it. We had hoped to see closer to the mountain side and where the big arena is which wasn’t unfortunate. I was able to push my stroller along the whole way but with some difficulty in a few spots. If I were to do it again I would probably not use the stroller, but again, the area is really large so after a while it gets tiring.

Alice was our tour lead. Superb tour leader with a good introduction and explanation at each point. It was an extremely good idea to start the day with the walk up Mt Vesuvius as it was quite taxing for us 60+yr olds. View of Naples was not so clear but good enough to see it. The climb took us some 25min from the entry point. And the walk to the end around circumference of the crater took another 20+min. We were given 1.5hrs so tight but doable.
Lunch venue was at Kona n the pizza included was very very good. Included also was a drink and you had options of water, aerated drink, beer or wine.
The tour to Pompeii was also superb. Claudia the guide assigned to us was knowledgeable about the history of Pompeii which made the 2hr walk a very short time.
Overall this was a superb tour with good value for the price.

This day was everything I hoped for. I enjoyed the hike up Mt. Vesuvius and touring the ruins of Pompei. Our guide was enthusiastic, friendly, and seemed to genuinely love sharing her city with us. We stopped at a cute restaurant fora tasty lunch, and a little roadside store to learn about local products. We even got samples!

Really enjoyed going to mout vesuvius and pompeii. We'll worth doing with a guide.
Only issue was coach pickup was running late and we felt a little rushed at times

This was an amazing experience. Viator and HP Travel provided us with the perfect day trip. We were about 20 people. The minibus was extremely comfortable and well air conditioned. Our driver was excellent and our tour guide Alex was fabulous. She keep our group moving from place to place with perfect timing and precision. Any issues with entry tickets were easily resolved without any stress or worries.
Our time in Pompeii was amazing. Our archeologist Francisco (Indiana Jones) is native of the area and grew up playing in the ruins. His work is his passion and it showed. He was knowledgeable, professional and funny. We were very lucky to have him as our guide.
Alex was professional, witty , knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. I researched many tour companies for a small group tour and I am so glad we did this one. I highly recommend that you just book it!
