Luca was amazing! He maximized our time in Lake Como to take us to all the best spots. Was so friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with him so much. He even checked on us later that night as the train didn’t give definitive language on if it made it in. If you want an incredible tour with an amazing person, this is the tour for you!

Luca made the whole experience feel very customized. The van was clean and comfortable. Luca is an excellent driver as well, on the windy roads it was very comfortable. The lunch stop was off the beaten path and perfect. Every stop had enough time to immerse in the area. I could not recommend this tour more. Grazie Luca!

Overall, this was an excellent tour. Luca was wonderful and he made sure that we had a great time. He was able to customize the tour quite a bit and he made sure that we saw parts of the region that most tourists do not encounter. Lake Como and Bormio Trip
Truly a fabulous experience! When my daughter and I made the reservations for this trip, we never imagined it would turn out to be one of the highlights of our entire Italian holiday! We did the extended trip which included an overnight stay in the Wine Hotel, a hotel in the middle of the gorgeous Valtellina and literally surrounded by ancient terraced vineyards, and a day in Bormio. We are so incredibly happy we made that decision! There is nothing about it that wasn't perfect!
Luca, who became an instant friend, was our guide for the two days. He is one of the kindest and friendliest people we have ever met. He always took care to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Luca was born and raised in Bormio and has spent much of his life in and around Lake Como and the Valtellina. So, he knows all of the best places to take you for a short trip. EVERY location was wonderful! Without a local as our guide, so many of the places he took us to we would never have been able to see and experience.
Luca met us as soon as we stepped off the train in Varenna. We knew immediately, this was going to be a wonderful trip! The first thing we did was drive to the top of the mountain overlooking Varenna to an ancient castle. WOW! It is a beautiful setting with such amazing views of Lake Como and the small town of Varenna down below with Bellagio across the Lake. Then he took us on a drive around the northern part of the lake to an ancient monastery that isn't listed in any guidebooks and you would have to be a local to even know of it's existence. Afterward, he drove us through The Valtellina! This is a breathtakingly beautiful valley through the Italian Alps filled with amazing ancient terraced vineyards! Luca wasn't driving on the main roads either, we were on the back roads. Once again, where only a local would know to go.
We went to a small village for a traditional Italian lunch at a family owned ristorante, once again, where only locals go. Everything, the food, the wine and the interaction with the owners was fabulous! We were able tour of one of the oldest wine cellars and general stores in northern Italy as well as tour a large winery and taste some of the best wines we had in Italy with a stunning view and delicious meats and cheeses from the area.
We stayed at The Wine Hotel, in the middle of a terraced vineyard, was so beautiful. Our room was stunning! The beds were very comfortable and we even had a balcony overlooking the vineyards with the valley and the Italian Alps in the background. It was breathtaking! Breakfast the next morning was fresh and delicious. Make sure when they ask you if you want eggs, to say yes! They were fabulous!
Bormio was far beyond our expectations! It is in a majestic valley bordering Switzerland with the Italian Alps surrounding it. We paid extra to go to the ancient hot springs fed Roman Spa! It was well worth the price! Don't miss out on it! You will be so happy you did it! The Roman hot springs fed pool in the cave was amazing! For the spa, all you need is a swimsuit, they provided everything else! Also, do the full body message! So wonderful! You have to try it!
We cant express enough how much we enjoyed this trip! Thank you Luca for everything! If we ever have the chance we would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

We had a truly outstanding, memorable and relaxing day of touring with Luca in Varenna on Lake Como and Valtellina. Luca was there to meet us at the train station in Varenna when we arrived from Milan and started us off with a walk along the Lake Como shoreline. He then drove us to a historic castle on a high point above Varenna to take in the beautiful view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.
We then drove to the town of Morbegno to sample one of the local cheeses, bitto, at f.Ili Ciapponi. We tasted 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 year old bitto and explored the shops impressive wine cellar. Our next stop was Ristorante Quattro Stagioni at Agriturismo La Fiorida for a wonderful outdoor lunch of local specialties. After lunch, Luca gave us a private tour of the cheese making facilities at Agriturismo La Fiorida.
We then drove on through the beautiful, scenic valley surrounded by mountains and hillside vineyards to Nera winery for a tour of the winery and a wine tasting accompanied by salumi and cheese. Luca orchestrated the wine tasting, which was excellent, and conducted the tour of the facility himself.
Following the tasting, Luca drove us to the station to catch our train back to Milan, on the way making detours to show us special places he thought wed enjoy for the beauty.
We felt the pace of the day was perfect and Lucas knowledge of the area, the food and the wine combined with his great, easy-going personality made for one of the most memorable days of our trip. We enjoyed Lucas company, commentary, guidance and personal touch throughout the tour and we will definitely use him to do more exploring when we return to the area. Luca is a gem!!!

My parents and I spent a wonderful day in Lake Como with Luca. Luca was an absolute joy to be with. He took us to many scenic spots, all of them breathtaking and very special. We enjoyed Lucas fascinating tour of the cheese factory, as well as our short visit to see the large vineyard terraces on the slopes. I was particularly enthralled by Lake Como itself, which was still beautiful despite the slight drizzle that day. We were very lucky to have found Luca, who drove us around the hilly roads very skilfully. The best part was how friendly and helpful Luca was during the tour. Thank you Luca! :

Luca was absolutely amazing! My husband and I took this tour on our honeymoon, and we did not regret it one bit. Luca met us at the train station, and then drove us around Lake Como and took us into the winery terraces of the Sassella region, and then personally gave us a wonderful tour of the Nera Winery. He even took us to a local restaurant for lunch which had simply stunning food, local to the region, delicious, and all the better because there was no way my husband or I was going to find that place by ourselves. It was a special treat, and we were so thankful for Luca's knowledge of the area, and great demeanor. We 100 recommend taking this tour! Thank you, Luca!!

The private tour was amazing and I highly recommend Luca as the tour guide. He makes the day very fun as he brings you to not only the touristy areas, but also local places. He booked an amazing lunch for us with a view of both the Dolomites and the Alps, and the food was truly amazing. Also, he brought us to an amazing vineyard where we could taste the wine and learn all about the process. Luca makes the experience very friendly and welcoming, as he knows many people in the area. We felt completely immersed into the culture the entire time, and left with full bellies and smiling faces!

Amazing Tour. Our tour guide Luca Marty was fantastic, a real pleasure!!!. He is Very Knowledgeable of the Region, he knows hidden spots that really make the overall experience very special. He was open to adjust the time spent in every place based on our needs. So the End to End experience was very good, very detailed oriented - He knows people well in the region and they welcome him and his groups to a different level of experience. I am an experienced traveler and I highly recommend him as a tour guide and the overall tour ....this was a the highlight for our trip to Milan and Region.

We debated on whether to go with a group tour at a lower cost or Luka, but based on the amazing reviews we decided we may only be in Como once so let's do it right with a local and I'm very glad we did! Luka's friendliness and familiarity with the tourism industry by trade made us immediately comfortable and we knew we were in good hands. He planned the full day which included some time in the villages around Como, including a stop at a monastery, a lunch at an authentic and romantic castle, and ended with a winery tour. Even though it was a chilly day in January, this was the highlight of our trip to the Milan area, and we can't recommend Luka enough!

My husband and I sought a private tour of Lake Como but ended up joining another two-some, making us a small group tour. It was FANTASTIC and MEMORABLE in every way! Luca is a wonderful person and tour guide. Make arrangements to spend time with him and you will not regret it.
Luca arranged our train to and from Milan, meeting us and sending us off on the platform. His detailed notes made it so easy. He catered to our preferences throughout the day, educated us about the local towns and sights and shared his passion at each and every turn. He explained the geography, the history, the seasonal changes, etc. Luca took us to several local businesses cheese makers, agri-farm, loomers, wine merchants where we had an up-close and personal experience as well as to an intimate, hospitable, authentic family restaurant for a delicious lunch.

Luca was an excellent guide. Even prior to meeting him, he already made us feel very assured with his call and very clear instructions on taking the train and meeting him at the train station. The first stop was the breathtaking Lake Como. The good thing about Luca is that he left my husband and I alone intermittently for us to enjoy quiet, private moments where we can just take in the beautiful scenery. He also has excellent relationships with many of the local wine cellars/shops/factories, enabling us to see wine and cheese making behind the scenes, which would typically be unavailable for most tour groups. His car was also very clean and his personality certainly shines. I would highly recommend Luca to any of our friends visiting Lake Como!

Luca was our guide and driver...and now he is our friend. Wow, we had such a fun day and Luca was the cause of it. He took us first to a cheese maker in the Alps where we later had an extraordinary lunch. They we went to the Nera winery and had a tour, wine tasting and some cheese and salami snakes. Then we all went back to Varrena for a dinner by beautiful Lake Como and then home back to Milano. We couldn't ask for a better day. If I could I would give this a 10 star review but since I can't you'll have to settle for the five but add a plus to infinity. Thank you for a wonderful day Luca. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Luca was a wonderful guide! We saw a medieval castle with beautiful views of Lake Como. Favorite activity was lunch of many courses at an agritourismo. Valtellina sits between the Pre-Alps in Italy and the Alps in Switzerland. Let him know what you want to see, and he will make it happen!

This tour was the absolute highlight of our whole honeymoon in Italy. We visited Venice, Milan, Florence and Rome but we enjoyed this location and tour the most. Luca stayed in close contact within the week prior to the tour to ensure we were comfortable with the train stations, departure times and details of the trip. We met in the beautiful small village of Varenna, toured lake como on a boat although this was extra and walked around to see the wonderful views of this small village. We then drove north to the Valtellina valley where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the wine country. Luca was very knowledgeable about the history, food, wine and countryside of this area and super nice and friendly to talk to. He brought us to some very nice spots that make the tour so worth it but I recommend purchasing the tour yourself to enjoy the surprises than having me tell you about it. This was the best full day tour we had out of our whole 12 days in Italy and I would not go back without seeing Valtellina again!

We took the Private tour to Lake Como and Valtellina in April on a beautiful Saturday before Easter Week. We had a perfect train ride and Luca met us at the station where we went directly up to Valtellina for a terrific family hike among the beautiful nature and scenery. We then had an amazing indigenous lunch in an fantastic agroturism place where the Pizzocherri was fabulous. Luca then took us to a local winery where we sampled the nibiolo wines with a passionate vintner while looking over the beautiful surroundings of mountains, lake como and the greenery. We finished the day with a trip to the villages of the lake where we couldn't help but have a gelato and check out some hotels for a longer stay later. Luca was terrific. It was an amazing day and its incredible that being so close to MILAN one can find such beauty and great food/ outdoor activities and nature. THANKS LUCA!! wouldn't change a thing and we highly recommend it. We were my husband, myself and our teenage daughter. We will be back for sure.
