Excellent tour

Our tour guide Elena was wonderful! Great tour wonderful story teller very engaging. Perfect amount of time in the museum to get all the important works. Was not boring for the teens because it was fast paced and to the point.

Disorganized and terrible guide

Disorganized guides for too many people. When I asked who was the English guide, I was told it was the woman, then it changed to one of the men. The tour didn't start until about 30-40 mins later. Then our guide would spend such a long time describing details on one painting then would say, later you should see these other paintings. The Prado is full of great masterpieces, I felt that we were shown too few with too much time spent on a handful of them. Midway through, half of our group left because the tour and guide were so bad.

Our tour guide was excellent. She did a great job explaining everything to us and went so far has to have information and further photos on her phone to show us art that could be compared to what we were seeing. It was obvious that she loves her job and that showed in the quality of her tour.

Tour not as promised, very disappointed

My friend and we (total 3) signed up for the English tour in a small group tour (no more than 6 people), respectively. On the the day before, the tour company changed our schedule and put us in another group with 12 people. They cancelled my friend's reservation completely. We were the only two English speaking guests in the 12 people tour. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and did her best to accommodate us by translating every sentence into English. However the back and forth translation made our experiences not quite favorable.

The tour guide took us to the major works and explained their significance and history. She was knowledgeable about the history as well as technique and style, definitely very knowledgeable about art history. We enjoyed the tour and it was only 90 minutes which was perfect because we then had some time to explore our favorite styles on our own after.
