The tour overall was good. The tour guide (Ofelia) for the English speaking group, to Segovia was excellent. The tour bus driver to Segovia and Toledo was also very good. The seats were comfortable and the bus had a working air conditioner. There was not much leg room between seats and some passengers complained when seats were reclined. The afternoon return trip, was disappointing. The tour guide for the English speaking group was switched in the afternoon. The person that gave the afternoon portion of the tour did not do as well of a job showing and explaining the highlights of Toledo. This left us disappointed with the Toledo portion of the tour. On the return trip to Madrid, the tour bus was switched to the company’s (Big Bus) double decker. The bus was in poor condition. The air conditioner on the bus was working poorly, some seats had no AC vents and the bus was extremely hot. Several seats didn’t recline nor had working recliner handles. Disappointed with the poor condition of the bus.

We especially liked the bilingual tour-guide “Alejandra” who kept us informed, entertained and kept her cool when the returning bus experienced a minor delay. It’s not easy herding a group of rambunctious tourists through two renown cities.

The tour was great but for some strange reason, my name was not listed on the list despite me receiving the confirmation from Viator. Luckily, the ground handler still accepted me and found a place for me in the tour group.

Beautiful Cities to visit....but

The tour was worth the trip as Toledo and Segovia are indeed beautiful and steeped in history. However, be prepared for a long bus ride for the day and not on the same bus. Unfortunately when we were scheduled to leave Toledo we had no bus waiting for us and we were forced to wait for more than a half hour in 102 degrees with no explanation except the operator was "the only one here". Then when we were ready to leave Segovia we were told to meet at a certain point and found out from someone else it was changed. We were told they were sorry. Beware!

No emergency plan

The bus' air condtioner broke. We were trapped inside a bus with no windows, emergency doors did not work with temperature over 98 degrees in a traffic jam due to a car wreck . Company did not have an emergency plan for this circunstances. The part of the tour in the city was good but nothing compares to be exposed of suffocating conditions inside a vehicle that became an oven. This company was lucky that no one has a cardiac arrest inside the bus.

Cities to see

Toledo is a great city with an amazing history, but despite all that, Sagovia is simply breathtaking. From the aqueduct at the beginning of the tour, to the fairytale castle at the end of tour, every detail was mesmerizing. But the absolute best part of the tours was that both guides were not only charming and knowledgeable, but they both lived in those cities, knew the people, and were passionate about their homeland and proud of their history. They were not just reciting a paragraph from a travel booklet.

I gave 3 stars because of the mess happened because of the yellow tour guide. She was awful and rude to us English speak

The yellow tour guide was a mess. She said because it was Easter and kept saying I’m one person taking care of 90 persons. She barely spoke English. They kept changing buses and we were left without a tour guide in the way to Segovia. However both walking tour guides Jesus in Toledo and Maria were excellent. Changing buses was a mess and they end up 2 people left without seats and they had to hire a taxi to take them back to Madrid Both cities were amazing but more time needed to explore. We couldn’t get in to the palaces and barely were able to get tickets to get inside the Cathedral in Segovia which was amazing

Segovia aqueduct and pastry of Segovia. Stunning Christian overlay on the synagogue and mosque. Andrea guide terrific. Toledo navigation on our own a bit daunting, could’ve used more clear directions and a simplified map to see the main features, the synagogues, mosque and El Greco, which we ran outta time to find. Disappointing.

Fun but a very long day!!

The tour guide left us with time for looking around in Toledo. It was confusing and I was lost. I used my little bit of Spanish to ask how to get back to the escalator down. It was upsetting because I thought I would miss the bus. I think one day in Toledo with a guide for most of the time is better for me. Segovia was lovely but I was tired.

Extreme heat and no AC!

The stench of cigarette smoke was overwhelming when we entered the bus 15 minutes before departure. Asked the driver to turn on the AC but he couldn't careless. All the way, the AC was not on, fans were working but not the AC. The temperature gauge located above the driver's seat registered 33C (91.4F). Unless used to extreme heat and smoking, I would not recommend this agency!

Not good for English speaking travelers

Very little English. In some part of the tour, Spanish only. Too little time in Toledo. Advise to take a 1 day Toledo and another 1 day for Segovia. Too much time on the bus and fighting for traffic from Toledo to Segovia.

Good day tour for travellers with a few time to knowing two cities in a day. We check in at 8.25 am and a person from the bus company accompanied to the bus stop. Departure at 9 am. We chose the option to be at our own pace and refuse to buy the guide walking tour on the bus. Congratulations to Ester and her high sense of humor. She made our trip enjoyable with histories and recommendations of the places to visit. Thanks.

In general, it was a good trip besides the fact that the bus was about 40-45 min late to leave Madrid! It was early and super cold, so that was not cool, especially if you go with kids. Also, this trip is advertised as cheaper than others because what you pay is just to take you to the cities, but the tour guide is not included and has to be paid additionally. We got it as a courtesy just for Toledo for the bus being late.

We spent more time in trafick jums then in city atractions. and the worest thing is that the explanations were not synchronize with the sites that we passed thrugh.

A little bit tire after 11 hours of tour but it is worth. Angie in Toledo and Alfredo in Segovia were the best guides I never know wit a great knowledge in history and sense of humor.

Bus issues

Both places were fascinating. We did not take a tour so I can’t write about that part.... but the original bus out of Madrid came 1/2 hour late so our time was cut short in Toledo. Bus arrival communication was difficult and we had to find them amongst all the other buses and loads of people doing the same thing. The bus that arrived wasn’t the same as the original bus. It all seemed crazy and disorganized.

Toledo/Segovia trips were average BUT had a hard time getting the “Free Madrid tour”

Trips to Toledo and Segovia were good. It was a long and exhausting day but the 2 towns where’s absolutely beautiful! Segovia is larger than we expected and its too hard to walk back and forth to the castle in such short time (tour bus should’ve made a stop/drop off there). We decided to do the Madrid City tour the following day but getting the “free” tour was a nightmare!!! We purchased 8 tickets and were told that the tour was 1 free city tour PER order and we would have to pay 14€ for the other 7 members of our group! After 30 minutes of arguing we got our tickets but missed the bus and had to wait 1.5 hours for the next bus. Also, found out that there was a bus stop next to Plaza Major (which is were we were staying). Had we been given our City tour tickets (and a map showing the stops) the day before when we checked in for the Toledo/Segovia trip we could’ve saved ourselves a 1 mile walk and 1.5 hour wait.

Not what was advertised!

This tour was advertised as an English speaking tour, however, it was merged with additional tours and became a Spanish/English tour with over 60 people. It was confused from the very start as staff couldn't distinguish members from each group and wasted 30 minutes sorting through various colored wristbands. Once the tour started, the percentage of Spanish conversation versus English conversation was about 70/30. The guide made an effort to satisfy the English speaking members of the tour but the size of the group made it impossible to get the personal attention that was promised.
