Fantastic tour of these beautiful landmarks in Pisa
Wonderful small group guided tour of this fantastic landmark in Pisa. Our tour guide was incredible enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything there was to know about these beautiful buildings and the surrounding areas of Pisa. The tower is now open to walk to the top but beware it is almost 300 steps to the top but the views are spectacular. Our main break was in Florence and it was easy to get from Pisa Centrale station to Florence and a great way to spend our first day in Pisa. I would highly recommend this tour

Pisa’s Ultimate tour with local food
This was another great Viator tour. Our guide knew a lot about local food and wine. The food was very plentiful. 1st a charcuterie board with drinks. The choices of meats was enjoyable, then 2nd was a great restaurant where we had our choice of several pastas (in a really neat cavelike restaurant), 3rd we were treated to the street food Celina. ( crispy and good), finally 4th was wonderful gelato. The guide had a great personality, and we had lots of laughs. I highly recommend this tour.

Great guide and great tour
The tour is perfect, our guide, David, was super nice, he is very much competent, he is never boring, always interesting and gave us all the information we might need about Pisa.He was always ready to help us , very friendly and quite professional.
I do recommend you take this tour because It takes you around parts of Pisa which are less known, it gives you some historical knowledge that can help you understand why and how the great piazza dei Miracoli was created.
We entered Piazza dei Miracoli from a less famous entrance and the tour ended right in front of the great Duomo and the Baptistery. It was perfect! Thanks David for everything!

More than just “the Tower”
Well worth doing this and finding out more about Pisa. It also avoids the mass crowds around the tower. In addition, the beauty of this tour is that it’s by an electric buggy and meant that we didn’t have to walk around in the sweltering heat but could enjoy everything from the comfort of the vehicle!

A very enjoyable tour from Pisa
Overall, the trip was well organised, with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour leader.
The winery has a beautiful setting and a rich history. We got to see the cellars and learn about the winemaking process from the engaging guide.
We then got to taste several lovely wines and enjoy a little local produce before the trip back to Pisa. Throughout, the vibe was relaxed, informative and friendly.
Despite the rain, we had an excellent time and would recommend the trip - especially for visitors who want to experience the Tuscan countryside without a car.

Wonderful bites and sights tour
After an initial hiccup with the meeting location we met Antonella our guide who was wonderful. If using Viator, the directions provided by them are incorrect. Antonella was very interesting and informative. The tour was everything and more, that we hoped it would be. Highly recommend.

More than the Leaning Tower of Pisa Tour
Anastasia was a very knowledgeable and personable tour guide. Although this was a relatively short tour in duration (90 minutes), Anastasia shared a lot of information about the Cathedral Square. So much history about the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Bell Tower (the Leaning Tower of Pisa).

To the top of the tower is a must.
We were the only people on this tour. Our guide was excellent! He surprised us and brought us to the baptistery and this staff member came out and had the most beautiful voice, she was showing how the room echoed. The Church itself was amazing but surprised at the cemeteries how great that was too. Then of course we went to the top of the tower. Husband is claustrophobic, but he was fine. 251 steps to the top. It wasn’t bad.

I absolutely loved this...
I absolutely loved this walking tour. David, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought Pisa’s history to life in such a fascinating way. He shared so much insight into why so many of Pisa’s buildings are tilted or sinking, the impact of the war, and how different civilisations shaped the city over time. The stories behind the Leaning Tower were really interesting, from why it was built where it was, how it was built, why it leans, to the modern engineering that’s made it safe to climb today.
I was originally planning to visit Pisa on my own and had started researching what to see and do, but nothing I found online came close to the depth of understanding I gained from this tour. I walked away with such a richer appreciation of the city and its history. I’m so glad I joined. It really gave so much more meaning to my visit.

Wonderful past & tiramisu experience with Flora
Book in advance. Research location.
Absolutely fantastic cookery experience in authentic home with Flora and her husband. Wonderfully warm, attentive, helpful hosts.
We joined our hosts to share our homemade pasta, tiramisu and much more. Highly recommended.
